When the female Spirit Transmitter saw how much pain Xu Qing was in, she was at a loss for a moment. Still, she quickly reacted and hurried to interrupt the Martial Soul Awakening ceremony. Just then, however, an utterly terrifying suction force erupted from Xu Qing's body.

Something within his body frantically absorbed the energy pouring into him, while the energy that spilled out turned into torrents that surged through his limbs and bones. Soon, a feeling of bloating spread throughout his body, and moments later, it felt as though countless ants were gnawing at him.

Why did it hurt so much?!

The female Spirit Transmitter never took her eyes off Xu Qing. Soon, she noticed that his body was wrapped in a faint golden glow. Within that light, fine golden scales actually grew across his arms and neck.

Her entire body tensed, and she did not even dare breathe. Behind her, three Soul Rings-one white and two yellow-slowly pulsed.

This phenomenon lasted only a moment before the oppressive pressure on the female Spirit Transmitter vanished without a trace. She slumped weakly to the ground, and her Soul Rings returned to her body on their own.

She gasped for breath.

"What kind of monster is this? He was just awakening a martial soul. How did he suck away all my Soul Power too?" the female Spirit Transmitter said weakly.

The instant the female Spirit Transmitter was drained dry, Xu Qing felt the energy within him still frantically gathering toward his back and the palm of his right hand.

Under the female Spirit Transmitter's tense gaze, a faint blue glow suddenly shone from Xu Qing's palm.

Then, a blade of grass tinged with pale blue quietly emerged, spreading and growing. It swayed gently and weakly, giving off faint fluctuations of energy.

The female Spirit Transmitter froze briefly. How could it be Blue Silver Grass? On the Douluo Continent, Blue Silver Grass was nothing more than a weed found everywhere. Although she had heard legends about Blue Silver Grass, in all her years of awakening martial souls, this was her first time seeing Blue Silver Grass awaken with innate Soul Power.

Besides, this little fellow absorbed so much of my Soul Power. Judging by the golden light around him and the scales that grew on his body, it looked like a beast martial soul awakening no matter how I looked at it. Where did this Blue Silver Grass martial soul come from?!

The female Spirit Transmitter took a deep breath. It must have been a hallucination. It must have been a hallucination. She kept reassuring herself.
