Reunion
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar figure appear in the distance.
Tall, dressed in black, with slightly disheveled hair.
He still had that arrogant, domineering demeanor, ignoring everything.
He looks exactly like the brother I remember.
Na'er's body stiffened.
The hand holding the Silver Dragon Spear clenched slightly.
She didn't dare turn her head.
I'm afraid that if I turn around, the illusion will shatter.
"Brother, even if it's just a hallucination, could you call me 'Na'er' one more time?"
Na'er murmured to herself, her voice as soft as a mosquito's buzz.
I felt a sense of loss.
Before I knew it, my brother and I had been separated for over a year.
But she still couldn't resist wanting to see her brother.
Even if it's just an illusion.
"Na'er!!"
A familiar voice suddenly called out from behind.
The sound wasn't loud, but it clearly reached Na'er's ears.
It was like a thunderclap, exploding in her mind.
Na'er was startled.
That sound...
That sound is...
Elder brother?!
She turned around abruptly.
He moved so fast that his hair flew up.
My gaze met those familiar dark eyes.
The boy stood under a willow tree not far away, a smile playing on his lips.
Sunlight fell on him, half of him in light and half in shadow.
It really is my older brother!
It's not a hallucination!
"Elder brother!"
Na'er cheered.
Their voices were choked with sobs.
Without a second thought, she lifted her skirt and rushed over.
He casually stuck the Silver Dragon Spear into the ground.
With a clang, the tip of the gun pierced the ground and stood upright by the lake.
The little girl took long strides and ran very fast.
Like a little bird returning to its nest.
She threw herself directly into Bai Yushan's arms.
Bai Yushan quickly squatted down and opened his arms to catch her.
The little girl had quite a bit of strength; she bumped into him, making him stagger backward.
"Run slowly, don't fall."
Bai Yushan smiled helplessly and gently patted her back.
The little girl in my arms was soft and cuddly, carrying a faint scent of lake water and herbs.
His hair was fluffy, and it tickled his chin.
"Brother! It really is you!"
Na'er buried her face in the crook of his neck, her voice muffled.
"I thought... I thought I was seeing things."
"Silly girl."
Bai Yushan patted her head.
"I've come to see you, aren't you happy?"
"Happy!"
Na'er immediately looked up.
Her eyes were bright and sparkling, with a hint of moisture at the corners, yet she smiled radiantly.
Like a blooming Xiao Bai.
She reached out her little hand and touched Bai Yushan's face.
"My brother has grown so much taller."
"He's gotten more handsome too."
Bai Yushan was amused by her.
You've grown taller too.
She's almost a young woman.
He pinched Na'er's little face.
It's still as soft and fluffy as it was when I was a child.
Gu Yue stood a few steps behind.
I watched the brother and sister hugging each other.
His silver-purple eyes held a complex expression.
Her gaze fell on Na'er.
The same long, silver-white hair, the same Silver Dragon King Bloodline.
However, Na'er was forcibly separated from her own body, possessing a "rebellion" that claimed three-tenths of the original power.
Logically speaking, Gu Yue should now be racking her brains to reabsorb Na'er and make the Silver Dragon King's essence completely complete.
However, after meeting Bai Yushan, Gu Yue abandoned the old path of following the Dragon God and instead completely integrated the remaining 70% of her Silver Dragon King essence into her human body.
She wants to go her own way.
She is Gu Yue, not the successor of the Silver Dragon King.
Absorbing Na'er? There's absolutely no need for her now.
On the contrary, seeing this little girl staring at him cautiously, like a cat with its fur standing on end, was actually kind of interesting.
Na'er saw Gu Yue's appearance clearly, especially her signature long silver-white hair and purple eyes, she instantly bristled.
"Y-you! What are you doing here?!"
She instinctively shrank back behind Bai Yushan, her fingers gripping the Silver Dragon Spear tightly, her voice trembling slightly.
In her childhood understanding, the woman in front of her was her natural enemy who had come to steal her essence, the other half of the Silver Dragon King. If she encountered her, she would be devoured, leaving not even ashes.
This fear, etched into our very being, cannot be suppressed.
Gu Yue twitched the corner of her mouth.
For some reason, I suddenly felt like teasing Na'er, who looked like a cat.
Without hesitation, Gu Yue stepped forward and leaned against Bai Yushan.
She gently nudged Bai Yushan's arm with her own, a smile on her face, and slowly began to speak.
"Of course I came with your Xiaoshan brother!"
His tone carried a hint of deliberate intimacy, and he even glanced at Na'er intentionally.
"Don't come near my brother!"
Na'er immediately peeked out from behind Bai Yushan, her face flushed red, her silver eyes blazing with anger.
She reached out her little hand, grabbed Bai Yushan's arm, and pulled him towards her with all her might.
"My brother is mine!"
"Oh, when did it become yours?" Gu Yue raised an eyebrow and took another half step forward. "Did your brother agree?"
"Of course he agreed!" Na'er stamped her foot anxiously.
"I promised since I was little!"
The two exchanged sharp words, each trying to outdo the other.
The voices grew louder and louder, one puffing out in anger, the other speaking slowly, arguing fiercely.
Bai Yushan stood in the middle, his mind a jumble of noise from both sides.
He immediately stretched out both hands, one on the left and one on the right, and placed them on the heads of the two people respectively.
Press down slightly with a little force.
"Can you two stop fooling around?"
There was a hint of helplessness in his tone.
The two men's heads were pressed down, and their movements stopped simultaneously.
They exchanged a glance.
Then, surprisingly, they crossed their arms, turned their heads, and gave a cold snort to both sides.
Their movements were perfectly synchronized, like looking in a mirror.
Even their breathing rhythms were exactly the same.
Bai Yushan couldn't help but laugh at the sight.
These two actually have pretty good chemistry.
Na'er was angry for two seconds, then suddenly seemed to remember something.
His eyes lit up instantly.
She released her grip on his arm, happily hugged Bai Yushan's right hand, and shook it.
"Brother Xiaoshan, did you get into the Shrek Academy? That's wonderful! Na'er can finally be with you!"
Her tone was full of joy, and her silver eyes sparkled as if they held stars.
She had already imagined what it would be like to cultivate together, eat together, and stroll around the Sea God Lake with her brother every day.
The more I thought about it, the happier I became; my smile almost stretched to my ears.
Gu Yue didn't know why, but she just couldn't stand Na'er's appearance.
She immediately covered her mouth and chuckled softly.
"Don't even think about it. Your Xiaoshan brother entered the Spirit Pagoda with me, and our master is the deputy tower master!"
"You want to be with your Xiaoshan brother, but your master alone won't agree!"
Gu Yue spoke slowly, watching Na'er's face gradually fall, and felt a strange sense of satisfaction.
"You're talking nonsense!"
Na'er's little face was puffed up with anger, her cheeks were all bulging out.
"Teacher Yun Ming won't care about me!"
"Whether I'm talking nonsense or not, you can ask your Xiaoshan brother!"
