Unable to afford Maple Forest City’s entrance fee, Ah Yin accepts Tang Hao’s help. His apparent kindness wins her trust, and she agrees to travel with him to Ruoshui City. During their meal, she shares much about herself while keeping her Soul Beast identity secret 14.

When Tang Hao arrives the following morning, she calls Gu Yuan her lover and links arms with him, using him as a shield.
