It had to be said that these two items were truly precious.

First was the [Innate Full Soul Pill], which could raise a person's talent to innate full Soul Power once consumed.

What did innate full Soul Power mean?

On the Douluo Continent, only those who possessed a god-level Martial Soul bestowed by a god, or god-favored descendants of gods whose families passed down a god-level Martial Soul, could possess innate Soul Power talent exceeding the initial level 10 of innate full Soul Power.

For everyone else, no matter how great their personal talent or how outstanding the quality and level of their inherited Martial Soul, innate full Soul Power was the upper limit of their talent.

Innate full Soul Power was the highest, most extreme, most perfect Soul Power talent an ordinary person on the Douluo Continent could have.

In the Douluo I timeline, Soul Masters with innate full Soul Power talent could be counted on two hands.

Take the Shrek Seven Devils, all of whom later became gods and were each a heaven's chosen.

Of the seven, only three had innate full Soul Power talent: Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Oscar.

As everyone knew, the higher the quality of a Martial Soul, the greater the chance of possessing Soul Power and a high innate Soul Power talent.

But possessing a top-tier Martial Soul did not necessarily guarantee high innate Soul Power, much less innate full Soul Power-

The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan had produced a Yu Xiaogang, and not every disciple of the Clear Sky Sect was a genius or possessed innate full Soul Power. That much was clear.

Therefore, even though Tang San possessed the Clear Sky Hammer Martial Soul and was the son of Clear Sky Douluo Tang Hao, he would not necessarily have innate full Soul Power talent.

That was especially true before Tang San's Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul underwent its second awakening.

It was merely a stalk of Blue Silver Grass with the Blue Silver Emperor Bloodline, not even a Blue Silver King, just a slightly sturdier stalk of Blue Silver Grass.

Tang San had acquired his innate full Soul Power talent after birth through cultivating the Mysterious Heaven Skill.

If Tang San had not cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill beforehand, then, malnourished from childhood and able to fill his stomach only with thin porridge, even as the son of a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast and a Titled Douluo,

having a relatively high innate Soul Power talent of level six or seven, or level seven or eight, would already have been extremely rare.

Awakening innate full Soul Power talent at his Martial Soul awakening ceremony at age six would have been practically impossible.

Thus, although Tang San had innate full Soul Power, his innate full Soul Power was actually [Pseudo-Innate Full Soul Power].

Xiao Wu's innate full Soul Power talent was not innate full Soul Power talent in the true sense either.

That was because the Soft Bone Rabbit was not a top-tier existence, whether among Soul Beasts or Beast Martial Souls.

The possibility of it producing innate full Soul Power talent was vanishingly small.

Xiao Wu's innate full Soul Power talent was entirely thanks to her being a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast who had taken human form and cultivated anew.

Thus, among the Shrek Seven Devils, only Oscar truly possessed innate full Soul Power talent.

That showed just how rare innate full Soul Power talent was.

The original work had not described the original owner's innate Soul Power talent in detail, and only after merging with and absorbing the original owner's memories did Dai Mubai learn for the first time that the original owner's innate Soul Power talent was level 7.

Across the entire Douluo Continent, innate Soul Power of level 7 was not bad talent; it could even be considered quite good.

But among the Star Luo Imperial Family, which inherited a top-tier Beast Martial Soul like the [White Tiger], innate Soul Power of level 7 seemed somewhat mediocre.

Dai Mubai's eldest brother, Dai Weisi, had an innate Soul Power Level of 8, and Zhu Zhuyun, who was betrothed to Dai Weisi, also had an innate Soul Power Level of 8.

Dai Mubai's second brother, the second prince of the Star Luo Empire, had died young. Although there was no evidence that it was someone's doing, much less any pointing to Dai Weisi, the eldest prince,

Dai Mubai, having merged with the original owner's memories, knew.

The mastermind behind his second brother's early death was none other than their eldest brother, Dai Weisi-

Because his second brother's innate Soul Power talent had been level 9, one level higher than both his own and their eldest brother Dai Weisi's.

Moreover, his second brother had not been much younger than Dai Weisi, and the gap in strength between the two brothers had not been nearly as vast as Dai Mubai's.

Thus, in those early years, his second brother had been the one their imperial father valued most; he could be said to have been entrusted with great hopes.

But after his second brother died young, the strongest contender for the Star Luo Empire's throne, and the one most valued and favored by their imperial father, became their eldest brother, the first prince Dai Weisi.

This became even more apparent after the original owner's innate Soul Power talent was tested at level 7 upon awakening.

Come to think of it, though, Dai Mubai had to be grateful that his own innate Soul Power talent was the most mediocre of the three brothers.

If his innate Soul Power talent had not been mediocre;

if he had not been much younger than his two elder brothers, with a large age gap that put him at a disadvantage;

and if his second brother, the second prince, had not died young, leaving their imperial father suspicious, wary, and displeased with their eldest brother Dai Weisi, the first prince,

then his own unexplained death would not have further eroded their imperial father's trust in Dai Weisi.

He could never have escaped safely and smoothly all the way from the Star Luo Empire to the Heaven Dou Empire at such a young age, without a single attendant or guard-

The most fundamental reason it had gone so smoothly was that Dai Weisi looked down on him and had deliberately gone easy on him and let him leave to preserve their imperial father's trust.

His fiancée, Zhu Zhuqing, however, faced a world of difference when she later fled the Star Luo Empire.

When Zhu Zhuqing left the Star Luo Empire, she was relentlessly hunted by her elder sister, Zhu Zhuyun.

One reason was that the White Tiger Martial Soul and the Nether Civet Martial Soul possessed the [Hell White Tiger] Martial Soul Fusion Skill.

Although Dai Mubai's chances of winning the contest for the throne were vanishingly small, assassinating Zhu Zhuqing, the third prince's consort, would completely sever his chances of competing for it.

The Star Luo Zhu Family and the imperial Dai Family had intermarried for generations, but each prince could marry only one woman of the Zhu Family.

A member of the Dai Family who could not protect his own consort was unworthy of being an imperial prince;

and a prince without the Zhu Family's support and the Hell White Tiger Martial Soul Fusion Skill was unworthy of becoming emperor of the Star Luo Empire.

Of course, there was another reason the first prince Dai Weisi had given the signal, and Zhu Zhuyun had spared no effort in hunting down her younger sister Zhu Zhuqing, who had fled the Star Luo Empire for the Heaven Dou Empire to "seek her husband."

It could not be overlooked: Zhu Zhuqing also possessed innate Soul Power talent of level 7.

Dai Mubai's Soul Power talent was mediocre, and Zhu Zhuqing's innate Soul Power talent as his consort was likewise not particularly high.

But that talent was not particularly low either, especially since a person's talent did not necessarily determine their ultimate achievements.

Thus, this talent could actually win them considerable support within the imperial family and at court.

Of course, all of that was beside the point-

In short, high innate Soul Power talent was extremely rare. Even innate Soul Power talent of level 8 or 9 could make an imperial prince feel competitive pressure and a sense of crisis.

Let alone the even more precious and rarer innate full Soul Power talent.

And now Dai Mubai had opened an [Innate Full Soul Pill] from the beginner's gift pack given by the system. Once he took it, he could shed his mortal body and replace his bones, gaining innate full Soul Power talent.

How could he not be excited?

Although, after gaining innate full Soul Power talent, he would not trumpet it far and wide to win more support in the contest to succeed to the Star Luo Imperial Family's throne.

Doing that would only bring more suppression from his eldest brother, Dai Weisi.

Especially now that he was in the Heaven Dou Empire, his enemies were not limited to Dai Weisi and the "first prince's faction" under him.

There were also the Heaven Dou Empire and the ambitious Spirit Hall.

Although he would not proclaim it far and wide, once he had innate full Soul Power talent, his future cultivation would surely become much faster.

The goal of reaching level 23 in four years would also become easier to achieve.

P.S. Recently, some readers have raised questions about the protagonist's and Zhu Zhuqing's innate Soul Power Levels, so I'll briefly explain them here.

First, in the original novel, aside from Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Oscar having innate full Soul Power and Ning Rongrong having innate Soul Power of level 9, the innate Soul Power Levels of the remaining Shrek Seven Devils were never explicitly stated.

But it was certain that Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ma Hongjun, as supporting characters meant to set off Tang San, did not have innate full Soul Power. Even so, their family backgrounds and the quality of their Martial Souls were there for all to see, so their innate Soul Power Levels would not have been too low either.

I estimated they were somewhere in the level 7-9 range.

Considering that Ma Hongjun had a Phoenix Martial Soul, a barnyard chicken turning into a phoenix must have been a beneficial mutation. Also, although Evil Fire had certain negative effects, its enhancement of libido and sexual performance wasn't necessarily a negative effect at all. People would see that differently; at least I wouldn't turn it down, haha-

Evil Fire also increased its temperature and ability to stick to things, so the good outweighed the bad and the benefits outweighed the drawbacks. That's why I set Ma Hongjun's innate Soul Power Level at 9 in this book.

Setting Dai Mubai's innate Soul Power at level 8 or 9 might have been a little more reasonable and more in line with what most readers expected.

But I considered that Dai Mubai had escaped the Star Luo Empire unscathed and reached the Heaven Dou Empire despite Dai Weisi's power. If Dai Weisi could and was willing to go easy on him, then Dai Mubai surely hadn't seemed like much of a threat to Dai Weisi.

Whether it was their ages, the gap between their Soul Power Levels at the time, or the temperament Dai Mubai displayed, none posed a threat to Dai Weisi.

But the competition for the throne was brutal. However proud a prince of an empire might be, he wouldn't let Dai Mubai leave if he posed a major threat.

Therefore, Dai Mubai's innate Soul Power Level was most likely lower than Dai Weisi's. Even if they had been evenly matched, Dai Weisi probably wouldn't have let Dai Mubai leave the Star Luo Empire and go to the Heaven Dou Empire to develop under the radar.

Even if Dai Mubai had been capable of escaping the Star Luo Empire, Dai Weisi probably would have secretly leaked information and killed with a borrowed knife, using the Heaven Dou Empire or Spirit Hall to eliminate him.

But Dai Weisi didn't do that, so Dai Mubai's Soul Master talent and innate Soul Power Level probably didn't make Dai Weisi feel threatened either.

In this book, I set Dai Weisi's innate Soul Power Level at 8, so I set Dai Mubai's at 7.

However, after the protagonist takes the [Innate Full Soul Pill], his innate Soul Power talent will rise to innate full Soul Power at level 10. After he fuses with the god-level Second Martial Soul [Demonic Weapon Tiger Soul], that and the Innate Full Soul Pill together will give him innate Soul Power of level 20...

Therefore, whether Dai Mubai's original innate Soul Power Level was 7, 8, or 9 doesn't make much difference. In any case, after the protagonist transmigrated, it became innate full Soul Power.

As for Zhu Zhuqing's innate Soul Power Level, I initially set it at 9 because I liked her character and because she was the protagonist's canonically paired main wife in this book.

Although her "talent was the lowest" among the Shrek Seven Monsters in the original work, I personally think there were several reasons for that "lowest." First, the Nether Civet Martial Soul, like Xiao Wu's Soft Bone Rabbit, was not a particularly high-grade, top-tier Martial Soul.

Second, Zhu Zhuqing ranked seventh among the Shrek Seven Monsters and was the youngest, so it was perfectly normal for her Soul Power Level to be a little lower and her strength a little weaker...

But since quite a few readers thought innate level 9 was unreasonable, I've changed her innate Soul Power to level 7 and made the corresponding changes to the earlier text.

Just as Dai Mubai's innate Soul Power rose to innate full Soul Power after he transmigrated, the protagonist will later help her raise her talent and potential as his canonically paired main wife, so a slightly higher or lower innate Soul Power Level here doesn't make much difference either.

Also, this book has a harem with multiple female leads. I personally dislike Tang San, so I plan to have the protagonist take Xiao Wu, but I'm rather fond of Oscar and Ma Hongjun, and I haven't yet decided whether to break up their pairings.

As for Bai Chenxiang, she doesn't stand out among the female characters in Douluo I. Taking her just for the sake of taking her doesn't seem necessary; I'd rather leave her with Ma Hongjun. But I'm also worried people will say that giving a woman away is too toxic. I don't know what everyone thinks about that, so feel free to leave a comment. I'll read them all.

As for Oscar's canon partner Ning Rongrong, she's the heir to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and a member of the Shrek Seven Devils. Her family background, looks, and abilities are all top-tier, so I'm a little torn about whether to take Ning Rongrong too.

For the same reason as before, if I don't take her, I'm worried I'll be criticized for giving a woman away. At the same time, Ning Rongrong is outstanding, and I'd be a little reluctant to pass her up.

But if I do take her, I don't really want to break up her canonical pairing with Oscar. They also have the Martial Soul Fusion Skill "Resurrection"; losing that skill would be a greater loss than gaining another harem heroine.

In any case, with the protagonist's abilities as I've set them up, he can keep Oscar and Ning Rongrong firmly under his control without worrying about betrayal.

If you have thoughts on whether or not to take Ning Rongrong, please leave a comment. I'll seriously consider and take your opinions on board.

Also, if I do take Bai Chenxiang and Ning Rongrong, then so the two men don't spend their lives alone, and so they don't take up plot space early on, I plan to create two original female characters later in the story, after the protagonist becomes a god, and pair them off.

If you have ideas for Oscar's and Ma Hongjun's original female partners, please post them in the comments, such as the characters' [names, Martial Souls, backgrounds...].

There's also Tang San. After the protagonist takes Xiao Wu, I plan to create an original partner for him too, just to disgust him.

For now, I'm thinking of creating a supporting female character with the [Light Goddess Butterfly] Martial Soul to put Tang San on a dog leash. If you have other suggestions, let me know in the comments.

Also, do you have any ideas for the female characters on Spirit Hall's side? If the protagonist takes Hu Liena, I can use the Slaughter City storyline from the original work, but I haven't decided whether to take Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong, the mother and daughter.

If he does take them, and you have good suggestions for how to write their romantic arcs, please leave them in the comments. I'll seriously listen to everyone's suggestions.

Also, my writing is a bit long-winded. I'll work on revising and adjusting it later. Thank you for your feedback and patience. My sincere thanks!!
