Previous Life and Transmigration

Imperial Succession Crisis

The original Dai Mubai had fled to the hostile Heaven Dou Empire because his eldest brother, Dai Weisi, was six years older and overwhelmingly stronger. Facing almost certain defeat, he spent his time at Shrek Academy in despondency and indulgence 1 30.

Star Luo princes competed from birth, with the struggle intensifying after Martial Soul Awakening. At eighteen, they faced deadly succession duels. Defeated princes could eventually be executed or have their Martial Souls and cultivation crippled before lifelong confinement. Dai Mubai therefore set reaching the level-50 Soul King realm as his immediate survival goal 9 30.

System Awakening and Concealed Transformation

The system supplied an Innate Full Soul Pill and a compatible Second Martial Soul draw. Dai Mubai obtained Demonic Weapon Tiger Soul, but its fusion erased his cultivation and existing rings. Taking the pill then raised him to level 30 and evolved his First Martial Soul into Evil Eye White Tiger 4 6 7 8 9.

He disclosed the First Martial Soul’s transformation to Shrek’s teachers while concealing his Twin Martial Souls, system, and full potential. His explanation attributed both his breakthrough and missing rings to a beneficial mutation. Star Dou Great Forest Hunt

Flender and Zhao Wuji accompanied him to replace his lost rings. Dai Mubai initially sought an Iron-Armored Tiger for his First Soul Ring, but encountered the much rarer Heavenly Dipper Bug instead. Its ring gave him two complementary skills, while its eye became his first External Soul Bone 19 23 24 25 26.

After absorbing the Holy Light Tiger ring, he asked his teachers to help him obtain a ten-thousand-year Diamond Tiger ring. To explain why he would accept such danger, he revealed his princely identity and the succession contest. Both teachers committed themselves to helping him, and he promised to make Shrek the continent’s foremost Soul Master academy if he gained the power to do so 28 30 31.

During the Diamond Tiger absorption, his First Martial Soul consumed the wrath surrounding the beast’s soul. Rather than enslave the now-benevolent soul, Dai Mubai allowed it to enter reincarnation through a passage opened by Tiger Soul. A seed from the Heart of Goodness entered his heart, attracting the attention of two gods who considered him a potential heir. Dai Mubai remained unaware of their interest 32 33 34.

Return to Shrek and Further Preparations

Flender urged him to conceal his unusual Soul Rings until he became stronger. Dai Mubai considered relocating Shrek Academy to Star Luo, where its teachers, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun could become his core supporters. However, he later delayed returning: he feared his father would preserve Dai Weisi as a rival rather than simply grant him support, and he wanted to secure resources in Heaven Dou first 37 38 39 47 48.

His intended targets included Liu Erlong’s support through Flender, Ah Yin’s Soul Bone hidden near Holy Soul Village, and the Immortal Herbs at Dugu Bo’s Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. These remained plans; he chose to stabilize his cultivation and develop quietly before pursuing them 48.

Personality

Dai Mubai is ambitious and self-reliant. He treats his knowledge of the original story as a reference rather than a guarantee, recognizing that his presence can change future events. His immediate drive is survival, but his ambitions extend beyond the Star Luo throne to godhood and eventually the position of Supreme God King 1 2 47.

He is cautious about revealing his advantages and refuses to sacrifice his dignity merely to obtain system rewards. Although he understands the value of cultivating relationships, he prefers sincere bonds with compatible teachers and companions over indiscriminate flattery 11 13.

His pragmatism coexists with gratitude and selective compassion. He kills suitable Soul Beasts when he needs their rings but rejects indiscriminate slaughter; after taking the Diamond Tiger’s ring, he chooses not to enslave its purified soul. He also sincerely values his teachers’ protection, promising to repay them and provide for them in old age 21 31 32 33 38.

Evil Eye White Tiger

His First Martial Soul is a super-tier evolution of the Dai Family’s inherited White Tiger. It remains an incomplete form of the divine-level Evil-Eyed White Tiger Holy King rather than a fully divine Martial Soul 8 9.

• Physical power: Enhances the White Tiger’s strength and close-combat aptitude beyond its original top-tier form 9.
• Evil Eyes: Provide exceptional mental talent. Dai Mubai states that his spiritual power after mutation is no weaker than that of a five-ring Soul Master 9 30.

His god-level Second Martial Soul provides a domain and several innate abilities. He keeps its existence secret to avoid endangering himself and the people around him 10 11.

• Devouring: Offers a means to increase Soul Power rapidly. It also preserves otherwise-lost power during the Heavenly Dipper Bug absorption, producing an additional ring skill; it does not repeat that result with the Holy Light Tiger 25 27 48.
• Soul conversion: Can turn a Soul Beast’s soul into a Demonic Soul Chang Ghost bound to the domain 32 33.

• White Tiger Meditation Method: The Dai Family’s inherited cultivation technique. Dai Mubai uses it to refine ring energy, stabilize breakthroughs, widen his meridians, and strengthen his body 24 27.
• Training routine: Replaces nightly sleep with meditation and completes ten laps around Shrek’s village without Soul Power before skill practice 46 49.
