Background / History

Dai Mubai was born into the Star Luo Empire’s White Tiger royal family. As a selected heir, he was forced into his clan’s ruthless succession struggle: the victor would inherit, while the loser faced a miserable fate and could be killed to prevent future internal conflict. Zhu Zhuqing was bound to the same struggle through her family and their engagement. The two fled to the Heaven Dou Empire to gain strength and change their destinies. 218 350

He first encountered Hu Jiu, Tang San, and Xiao Wu at the Rose Hotel in Suotuo City. Acting as a dissolute young master with a permanently reserved room, he provoked a confrontation over accommodations. Though he matched Tang San physically and revealed himself as a Level 34 Battle Soul Master, Xiao Wu repeatedly threw him with Waist Bow and Charm, forcing his retreat. 53 54

At Shrek Academy, Dai Mubai’s defeats and rivalry with Hu Jiu became a major motivation for self-improvement. His poor Great Soul Arena record—four wins and twelve losses—was a source of embarrassment, but he resolved to defeat Hu Jiu and accepted Grandmaster’s demanding training. Dai Mubai later returned to the Star Luo Empire, suppressed Dai Weisi’s influence, won the accelerated throne-heir contest, and became Crown Prince.
