New World Trait: Unspeakable
With the establishment of the Esoteric Order of Dagon.
Two years later.
Innsmouth, as the birthplace of the Esoteric Order of Dagon, is now home to many Cthulhu followers.
Among the three major cities, including the original city of Arkham.
They also all have strongholds of the Esoteric Order of Dagon.
The Deep Ones established a stable relationship with the followers of Innsmouth.
They not only engage in various transactions with them.
They even reproduce with humans, producing hybrid offspring.
Humans who inherit the Bloodline of the Deep Ones will temporarily retain their human form after birth.
After they are under some kind of pressure, or after contact with Deep Ones.
Their appearance will then transform into the frog-like features characteristic of Deep Ones.
The number of Cthulhu followers is growing, and a strange Power of Faith is beginning to gather.
It gradually sank to the bottom of the sea.
They are poised to unleash their power once they reach a sufficient scale.
Cthulhu will descend upon this place.
Moreover, some people are now receiving tiny fractions of Cthulhu's Unspeakable knowledge in their dreams.
This is both a blessing and a nightmare.
Those with high sanity, commonly known as high SAN value, are capable of understanding and thus gain extraordinary magical powers.
These magical powers are often related to the mind.
The higher your sanity, the higher your SAN value, and the stronger the power you gain.
People with low rationality have low SAN values and cannot withstand the Unspeakable impact of knowledge.
They either go completely insane or commit suicide during a breakdown.
But the ability to gain wondrous powers gave them the confidence to protect themselves against those Eldritch Beings and fantastical creatures amidst the Great Ruin.
There have been examples of this in the past two years.
That's enough to drive everyone crazy.
Although few people gain power through knowledge, it has led many more to believe in Cthulhu.
Some forward-thinking scholars began to try to combine their insights with steam technology.
The steam age, where the seeds of the Cthulhu cult were sown.
It began to blossom into another direction of civilization.
Of course, this is just the trajectory of a small civilization born in Death World.
The overall trend of the Death World is still dominated by fear.
They are nothing more than ants still wrapped in honey.
"It's about time now."
"All materials have been exhausted, and the Cthulhu cult has been successfully sown."
Shen Hui smiled with satisfaction; everything had gone as planned.
With a wave of his hand, Shen Hui caused the Scenario Progression Card depicting the development of the Death World to dissipate.
If you succeed, there's no need to start over.
Everything in the Death World is already set in stone.
As the Scenario Progression Card dissipated, the Death World's World Will immediately sent a feedback message.
[A special area has emerged in the Death World: the Sea of Death]
[The Death World gains the World Trait: Unspeakable]
[With the combination of steampunk civilization, Eldritch Beings tales, Cthulhu mythos, and the characteristics of the Death World, it began to embark on an unknown path.]
The Death World has been developed, the world's rules and will have been enhanced, and the world's structure has become more solid.
[Death World]
[World size: 567 km]
[World Level: 4]
[Creating Units: 7 (Hero Unit) 180,000 (Common Units)]
[Special Birth Zones: Land of New Life 107 km, Sea of Death 234 km]
[World Trait: Mist of Lost Direction, Decay, Vitality, and Distortion, Unspeakable]
[Common Origin Level: 1]
[Synergy: Giant Objects]
[World Origin: 0]
Seeing the feedback from the Death World Will, Shen Hui was not too surprised.
The special region where it was born, the Sea of Death, is naturally the vast sea area that the Deep Ones reside in, occupying half of the Death World.
Because of the spread of Cthulhu beliefs, the Sea of Death is also the source of everything.
Nature and Land of New Life are both special regions.
However, the new World Trait that appeared later surprised Shen Hui.
Based on the name of the characteristic, it's self-evident who it's related to.
[Unspeakable]
[Effect 1: The seeds of the Cthulhu cult have taken root deep within the Death World. Any creature that attempts to peek into the essence of this world will have its thoughts and consciousness distorted as it continuously learns more and gains a vast amount of knowledge.]
[Effect 2: Powerful and strange creatures will also gain some Unspeakable effects. Deep Ones, including all Hero, will also be distorted by any creatures that attempt to understand them.]
Looking at the Unspeakable annotation, Shen Hui finally understood why this World Trait had come into being.
Where Cthulhu exists, the unknown is the greatest fear.
Imagine living in such a world.
Don't become an archaeologist or historian, trying to understand all kinds of history; don't become an investigator, trying to investigate bizarre and strange events.
Avoid contact with any strange religious groups.
Just be an Common, that's the safest thing to do.
The subsequent hints reveal that the worldview is unfolding, and the Death World is becoming more solidified.
And the uncertain future of civilizations emerging from the Land of New Life.
After all, various Eldritch Beings and fantastical creatures, such as Cthulhu, although they seem to belong to roughly the same category.
However, they also share different worldviews.
Aside from the creator of the dual-world system.
Basically, all creators develop civilizations in a linear fashion based on the system of their own world.
Only Shen Hui, relying on his memories from his previous life, was able to integrate similar elements from different worldviews.
That wouldn't be a straight line anymore, but a winding and twisting one.
It could even be an irregular curve with a 360-degree windmill rotation.
Furthermore, Shen Hui also intends to incorporate more elements to maintain a world system and continuously expand his worldview.
For example, it fits the steampunk civilization and the Cthulhu Potions system.
Shen Hui felt that even if he didn't interfere...
Perhaps a similar system can be developed by relying on the continuous progress of those people in the Land of New Life.
After all, some scholars have already begun to study the power derived from Cthulhu and its integration with steam civilization.
There's also the expansion of the Titan Universe, which belongs to Siren Head and the same Wandering Doom.
And it incorporates the SCP universe and the Backrooms World.
This allows the levels in the Death World to progress faster and reach higher levels.
After all, the reason why most Creation World cannot be upgraded and developed in the later stages is largely related to their worldview.
They developed themselves into a dead end.
Either you have a broad worldview, or you have a lot of ideas.
And Shen Hui is both large and plentiful.
The Death World has seen significant improvements, especially in its long-term development, giving it a greater advantage.
Now that he had come to his senses, Shen Hui was utterly exhausted.
This creation consumed too much of my mental energy.
Shen Hui withdrew from the Death World, and his mind returned to the Real World.
Upon returning, my first feeling was hunger.
My stomach was growling; I was starving.
With the added strain on his mental energy, Shen Hui felt as if his soul had left his body.
I glanced at the date on the digital clock in the room.
Three days have passed since Shen Hui first entered the Death World.
Although Shen Hui used Time Acceleration Card, he also slowed down many times to observe.
No wonder he hasn't eaten or drunk anything for three days.
Just as Shen Hui was about to get up from where he was lying to go outside to find something to eat...
The room door suddenly opened, Chi Yan, Ye Long, Qingxue, and Xiao Xiangyan all rushed in.
They all looked at Shen Hui with the same gazes they had used to look at a monster.
