Creating a God, the Great Horned Rat!
As the creator of the Death World, the omniscient and omnipotent Shen Hui witnessed Francis's actions and thoughts.
He chuckled, finding it amusing, and muttered to himself softly:
"Could it be that Francis's having such thoughts means he has developed a deeper understanding, one that he himself is unaware of?"
"And having this kind of thought... isn't it very similar to ourselves in the Real World, having different views and some doubts about the world we live in?"
"If things continue to develop in this way, will he eventually become Transcendent?"
Shen Hui felt he could apply his perspectives on things in his own Creation World to the world he lived in.
The world is like a nesting doll.
However, there isn't much useful information available right now.
Francis led the way to the wall, and without any fear, walked straight in, disappearing from everyone's sight.
The others looked at each other and resolutely followed.
A dimly lit room, yellowed walls, a damp carpet...
The rooms, one by one, appeared before the people who had fallen into the Backrooms World.
Furthermore, due to the hierarchical characteristics of Level 0, they were all diverted.
Only a few people met together; most were divided into groups of one, including Francis, who began his adventure on the first level of this Backrooms World.
Shen Hui stopped paying attention to their adventure; whether they lived or died was none of his concern.
They all have their own real life journeys in the Death World, and even if they are the creators, they will not interfere unless necessary.
Shifting his focus, Shen Hui turned his attention to the Skaven Ratmen had established an empire in the misty region of the Death World, outside the Land of New Life.
The Skaven Ratmen's influence has now spread far and wide, except for forbidden areas like the Sea of Death and the Mountains of Madness.
In most areas, there are traces of their people's existence and excavation.
All the tunnels eventually lead to the Ratmen's Ruined Capital.
The vast empire established by the Skaven Ratmen is centered around the Ratmen's Ruined Capital, and most of it is connected by underground tunnels.
These tunnels intertwine, like a spider web.
The cities they built were utterly terrible compared to those built by the humans of the Land of New Life.
The chaotic structure and the lack of any aesthetic appeal are the only things that make up the outline of a city.
The modern-day rat people maintain trade relations with humans.
Furthermore, humans learned from the rat-people what exactly lay hidden in the mist, a place unsuitable for their survival.
However, this kind of understanding doesn't help them much in knowing the truth about the world.
Humans provide the ratmen with food and technology; it's worth noting that the ratmen don't have their own food.
As the world progressed, strange plants were born in the Mist of Lost Direction, uniquely nurtured by the Death World.
And some twisted, writhing, unconscious flesh and blood.
Especially in the area near the Mountains of Madness and the Sea of Death, which serves as a transition zone, life is almost unaffected by the decline of life.
While humans may not be able to eat them, these rat-men, who evolved through mutation, are not greatly affected.
Furthermore, the Skaven Ratmen will find ways to cultivate and raise their own food, such as using their technology and Magic Energy abilities to create areas unaffected by the Mist of Lost Direction.
Life is about evolution and adaptation; as long as we don't die, we will always find a way.
The Skaven Ratmen not only with their unique technologies but also with information about the outside world.
Secondly, Warpstone.
With the resurgence of Cthulhu's power, coupled with various Eldritch Beings increases in strength, the level of the Death World has risen.
It contains various negative emotions and pollution formed by the convergence of Eldritch Beings forces, which is Magic Energy.
The Skaven Ratmen were also created based on this foundation.
However, the pollution level is now much higher than before.
Even among humans living in the Land of New Life, too many strange diseases have arisen due to pollution.
Magic Energy is also part of their development strategy, serving as the foundation for the city's operation.
Giving up was out of the question, so Shen Hui wondered if their development had reached a dead end.
Their rise ultimately led to their demise.
But considering the Death World, this seems quite reasonable.
Moreover, a more unique civilization may emerge at that time.
Warpstone are crystals formed in the most polluted misty areas.
It contains even greater Magic Energy, making it an excellent material for both refining and extracting it for energy purposes and conducting various experimental research.
The Skaven Ratmen had already begun using it, and later humans learned about it through the Skaven Ratmen and conducted various studies by importing it in large quantities through trade.
The Skaven Empire is somewhat similar to Steam City, but it also has its own unique development path.
At least in the Skaven Empire, there are no widespread cults. For those Eldritch Beings and terrifying beings, these Skaven only feel fear and dread, and do not choose to have faith.
The only clans that flourished were the Clan Skryre, the Clan Moulder, the Clan Pestilens, and the Clan Eshin, which were the four most powerful clans.
Many more clans emerged, some based on the species of rats they belonged to, others on different regions, and some even rivaled the status of the four major clans.
Compared to the social structures of humans, these cunning and treacherous rat-men are far more complex.
But the one thing that remains unchanged is the Council of Thirteen among them, which was also established with Shen Hui's intervention.
It is the institution with the highest authority.
Its members are all highly respected ratmen, and they are collectively known as the Lord of Decay.
The Lord of Decay of the Council of Thirteen, sometimes uses his position to do shady things, such as instigating conflicts between clans.
But their most important goal remains unchanged: to maintain unity among the Skaven Ratmen, at least in general.
They spread the message of their god, the Great Horned Rat.
The rat people's beliefs are now very singular, limited to the Great Horned Rat.
Therefore, in the central area of Ratmen's Ruined Capital, there is a building called the Tower of Ruin, which houses a statue of the Great Horned Rat and is also the location where the Council of Thirteen receives divine pronouncements.
That's right, they can receive divine pronouncements from the Great Horned Rat, not from Shen Hui.
Rather, they are the Great Horned Rat, truly formed by their beliefs, though they cannot yet be called a deity.
It's just a very vague concept.
But now that they had this foundation, Shen Hui felt he could lend them a hand.
Just like creating Cthulhu, give the Great Horned Rat a real identity and background, and create him in Death World!
