Tarot Club Gathering
"One, two, three... I had to find a way around them. That's why we're still not there!"
Huang Lingheng counted the spatial rifts that appeared ahead and sighed helplessly.
When they encountered a spatial rift that wasn't far away, Shen Hui and his companions didn't dare to cross it and instead chose to take a detour.
The distance between them increased rapidly.
"Great-grandson, you're just like your grandfather, always complaining. That's not a good habit. Why don't you look at the scenery here?"
Despite being the oldest among them, Zhang Qingfeng showed no signs of fatigue on his face.
Huang Lingheng ignored it, believing it to be the most effective counterattack.
Shen Hui surveyed his surroundings, muttering to himself.
"This is truly a good place for defense; the spatial rifts are far more numerous than I imagined."
The spatial rifts here, both in size and number, are far more numerous and larger than those Shen Hui saw on the outskirts when he first arrived at the Wilderness Ruins.
"Without prior preparations like the Laughing Moon Cult, who would dare to create Creation World here? Let alone in the depths of this place."
"It seems the Tarot Club either guarding against something, or there's something else in these Wilderness Ruins that they don't know about."
At this moment, Leng Zimeng couldn't help but mutter, "Aren't we there yet?"
Zhang Qingfeng's attitude towards Leng Zimeng's complaints was completely different from Huang Lingheng's.
Taking advantage of the moonlight, Zhang Qingfeng looked ahead and pointed to a relatively well-preserved detached building under the moonlight.
"It's right there, not far away."
With a clear goal in mind, everyone's motivation immediately surged, and they continued to work with great enthusiasm.
About half an hour later, the building that Zhang Qingfeng had pointed to earlier appeared in front of Shen Hui and the others.
Its exterior is dilapidated, its walls are riddled with holes, and the building is leaning in the middle. Apart from being relatively tall, it looks no different from the surrounding ruins that could collapse at any moment.
However, when Shen Hui looked up towards the rooftop, he noticed several figures peering at them under the moonlight.
These are clearly the members of the Tarot Club who have already reached that level.
"Finally here, I wonder if I'll see anyone I know..." Huang Lingheng muttered to himself.
Because such a possibility cannot be ruled out, after all, they had never met each other before.
Shen Hui and his group began to walk into the building, but Zhang Qingfeng stopped when they reached the crooked entrance.
As if remembering something, he looked at Shen Hui and said:
"Oops~ I almost forgot to tell you, some people might be a little unhappy with you, but you don't have to pay them any attention."
Shen Hui frowned. "Dissatisfied? Why? I haven't even met them yet."
Qingxue chimed in, "That's right, how could they possibly have a conflict with Shen Hui?"
Zhang Qingfeng laughed, "Haha, who knows? Right? There are all kinds of people in this world. As for the actual situation, I can't read their minds. You'll find out when you get there."
Looking at Zhang Qingfeng's signature smile, Shen Hui cursed inwardly.
"Damn, that old guy, he forgot everything, he was definitely doing it on purpose."
Shen Hui felt bewildered, but of course he wasn't afraid; what did he have to fear?
After giving the reminder, Zhang Qingfeng continued walking inside.
Although the building's exterior looked extremely dilapidated, the interior was in much better condition; Shen Hui could even see some signs of repair and reinforcement.
For example, the stairs leading to the upper level have been reinforced, clearly indicating that this was not a temporary choice.
Shen Hui and the others walked up the stairs.
When the door to the top floor was pushed open, a rooftop bathed in moonlight and adorned with strange runes came into view.
You can see that some of the symbols that were carved earlier have faded due to the rain, while others are clearly symbols that were carved not long ago.
Stepping out of the door onto the rooftop, a gentle breeze blows, and the surrounding scenery is laid out before you.
Near the edge on the left, there were about a dozen men and women in different poses.
Some were squatting down looking at the ground, others were leaning on the railings looking down, some were lying on the ground gazing at the moon, some were talking, and some were alone in a corner with their eyes closed, whether asleep or simply withdrawn... it was hard to tell...
Without exception, the moment Shen Hui and his group entered, everyone opened their eyes and turned to look at Shen Hui.
Shen Hui and the others also scanned the other party. They recognized only the High Priestess before, while some of the others looked vaguely familiar, suggesting they had met them on some occasion before.
Generally speaking, we don't know each other at all.
There were eleven people in total, but the Fool was not among them; it was unclear whether he was absent or elsewhere.
"Oh, someone else is here. I didn't expect you to be together. Come on, introduce yourselves."
A somewhat thin man, who looked to be around thirty years old, called out with a smile.
Zhang Qingfeng laughed and said, "Haha, of course no problem, but since there are many of you, you go first."
No one paid any attention, and one of them even said with some annoyance, "I didn't expect there to be an old man in here."
Zhang Qingfeng wasn't annoyed and just laughed. However, one of the other men, a middle-aged man with a commanding and powerful aura, stepped forward.
He spoke to Zhang Qingfeng with a slightly respectful tone, "Senior, let me do it."
Shen Hui thought to himself, "It seems this person knows Zhang Qingfeng, or at least knows Zhang Qingfeng's strength."
The other group was slightly surprised to see the middle-aged man's respectful attitude towards Zhang Qingfeng.
They arrived early, but they all knew this middle-aged man was no ordinary person.
Whether it's what his tarot readings represent or his regal aura, it's all about him.
I never expected him to be so respectful to an old man.
The middle-aged man glanced at the thin man who had spoken first.
"The Hanged, you were one of the first to arrive, so why don't you give an introduction?"
The tone was normal, but it conveyed an unquestionable and inviolable feeling.
The one called "The Hanged" chuckled and readily agreed, "Of course, no problem."
"Let me introduce myself first. I'm number 12 the Hanged Man, and he's number 4, the Emperor."
The Hanged Man pointed at the middle-aged man from before.
This was pretty much what Shen Hui had guessed; the only one with such an aura was basically the Emperor of the Tarot Club.
"This is the Magician Number One."
It was a smiling man wearing a floral shirt, who looked to be about the same age as Shen Hui and the others.
"This is the High Priestess Number 2."
