Siren Head Reaches Level Two

Shen Hui, Ye Long, and the others took turns explaining what had happened at the gathering at the Nine Phoenix Pavilion.

Shen Hui did most of the talking, however, when they reached the part about the invasion by the people in black.

As Shen Hui described what it had felt like to connect his Creation World to the Real World,

Chi Yan and Ye Yitian both nodded thoughtfully.

Then Shen Hui gave a rough account of the battle after he released and merged the Death World.

Ye Long, Qingxue, Xiao Xiangyan, and the others described how they had felt, as well as the mental states of the other students.

Chi Yan and Ye Yitian both wore slightly odd expressions.

"Shen Hui, your world really is..."

Chi Yan began, but when she reached the end, she didn't know how to describe it.

After thinking for a moment, she finally blurted out, "It really is impressive, one of a kind. Especially those... creatures you created? I suppose they can be called creatures, can't they?"

Shen Hui shook his head, however.

"I call them Eldritch Beings."

They didn't know how Shen Hui had come up with the name.

But he was the creator of this kind of world, so naturally, he could name them whatever he liked.

"Those Eldritch Heroes of yours really are unusual, then. But be careful when you use them in the future."

Shen Hui knew what Chi Yan meant. She was worried they would affect others again and drive them insane.

"I'll be careful, President."

Ye Yitian spoke up with gratitude:

"Shen Hui, you've really rendered a great service this time. If you hadn't been there, Long'er would have made a terrible mistake today."

"In a couple of days, I'll be sure to thank you properly."

Ye Long's expression grew a little uncomfortable too.

Many of the people there were awakened ones nurtured by various factions, or their successors.

Even though the Ye Family was powerful, if they faced the blame of so many factions,

and failed to handle it properly, it would pose a huge hidden danger to the Ye Family.

"Uncle Ye, you're too kind. No one could have predicted that something like this would happen today."

Shen Hui waved a hand to show it was nothing, though he still had to say a few polite words.

"Besides, we were lucky. The strength displayed by those people in black through their Creation Worlds wasn't as great as we imagined."

Shen Hui had brought up an important point about what had happened that day.

The strength those people in black had displayed basically didn't match their World Levels.

Chi Yan and Ye Yitian both nodded. They had noticed it long ago while providing support that day.

Chi Yan spoke thoughtfully:

"There's definitely something strange about these people in black. It's not just that their strength doesn't match their World Levels."

"No matter where they attacked, the creatures in the Creation Worlds they released were all giant creatures."

"And they all had another thing in common: there were no Hero Units."

Shen Hui and the others hadn't gone to the other places that had been attacked, so they really hadn't known any of this.

When Shen Hui first saw that the five people in black had all released giant creatures, he had thought it was a coincidence.

Now they all looked surprised.

Because, going by what Chi Yan had said,

the worlds those people in black had released... felt like the same world!

But how could one world have so many masters?

Besides, the auras their worlds gave off were all different.

Then wouldn't the strength of the original world... be absolutely terrifying?

Much of what had happened today had already gone beyond what Shen Hui and the others knew.

More precisely, it had gone beyond the conventional understanding of practically everyone.

Chi Yan wasn't surprised to see their expressions.

They had already had the same thought themselves.

Although Chi Yan didn't want Shen Hui and the other "kids" to worry too much,

basic information like this would definitely spread everywhere by tomorrow.

She might as well tell them now.

At that point, Xiao Xiangyan ventured a question. "President, this incident involved other races, didn't it?"

Chi Yan looked at her and didn't immediately deny it. "We haven't reached a conclusion yet. Don't dwell on it, and don't spread it around."

"All right, you should all go home and rest. Prepare yourselves for the Nascent World you're entering in two days.

If any further questions come up, I'll contact you."

Chi Yan had learned just about everything she needed to know, and the follow-up didn't require their involvement.

But no one seemed ready to leave. Instead, they all glanced at Qingxue.

Qingxue immediately stepped forward and said to Chi Yan:

"President, actually, we have a theory about what happened this time..."

Qingxue told Chi Yan about the bold idea they had just discussed.

After listening, Chi Yan and Ye Yitian both wore slightly odd expressions.

Then Chi Yan spoke, her expression a little serious:

"I understand. Don't spread this around either. I'm afraid you might be in danger if you do."

Seeing Chi Yan's serious expression,

Shen Hui and the others didn't dare say anything more and immediately nodded in agreement.

Then they began to leave.

But when Shen Hui reached the door, he suddenly turned back to look at Chi Yan.

After hesitating for a moment, Shen Hui asked:

"President, about Creation Worlds merging into the Real World..."

Before Shen Hui could finish, Chi Yan understood what he was thinking.

"Don't worry. You're not the only one this has happened to. We'll be sure to notify you when our research turns something up."

"Of course, if anything else unusual happens to you, you need to tell me too."

Shen Hui nodded, then left.

Under escort by World Association personnel, Shen Hui and everyone else were each taken home.

On the way, Shen Hui saw what had once been a bustling area.

The ground was cracked and pockmarked with deep craters, while skyscrapers had collapsed or tilted.

Some World Association members and security personnel were dealing with the aftermath.

Even in areas that hadn't been attacked, security personnel could be seen patrolling everywhere.

Only when they reached the old residential complex where Shen Hui now lived did such sights become less common.

After getting out of the car and heading home, Shen Hui couldn't help thinking.

The area was old and remote, with few residents, and the elderly people who made up most of its population loved to gossip.

But now it seemed to have its advantages too. At least it was a fairly safe place.

When attacks like these occurred, a place like this was at least unlikely to be the first choice.

Maybe I shouldn't move after all. I can have a little more peace of mind here, and it saves money too.

Thinking this, Shen Hui returned to his room and lay down on the bed.

He immersed his consciousness in the Death World and checked on it.

After the day's battle, his Heroes hadn't been affected in any way.

Siren Head, however, was undergoing another unusual change.

Siren Head's towering body was curled up into a ball, enveloped in a mass of tangible black mist.

Shen Hui, however, didn't look worried in the least.

Instead, he was full of excitement.

This change was happening because Siren Head was leveling up.

After the day's battle, Siren Head had reached level two!

But the transformation was still underway, so Shen Hui didn't know what enhancements he would gain.

Shen Hui then checked the Land of New Life. Those ordinary people were fine too, and all was well.

Only then did Shen Hui feel relieved.

He then fell into a deep sleep.

It wasn't until noon the next day that a phone call woke Shen Hui.
