Background / History
Ming Xin was a monk in his previous life. After being killed by human traffickers, his soul crossed into the Primordial World and awakened as the Slaughter Buddha Seal in the corrupted core of the Western ley lines. Chaotic demonic energy continually eroded the seal, giving him only three hundred Primordial days before annihilation; his Buddhist nature and an emergency system protocol preserved a precarious equilibrium through prolonged agony and hibernation 1.
He eventually completed Form Transformation as a top-grade Innate Spiritual Treasure. Daoists Jieyin and Zhunti found him in the Western lands, recognized his Nirvana-aligned origin and Buddha-Demon nature, and accepted him as their joint Founding Disciple 3. At Purple Cloud Palace, Dao Ancestor Hongjun personally judged him “quite good” and bestowed the White Bone Life-Death Sword, further establishing his standing among the Primordial World’s great powers 6.
Appearance
Following Form Transformation, Ming Xin appears as a handsome but cold-featured young man in plain gray hemp robes, with ink-black hair. His presence combines restrained Buddhist solemnity with chilling slaughter intent 3.
- His left eye conceals Nirvana Buddha Flame.
- His right eye contains a Demon Abyss vortex.
- A faint gray-black vertical mark flickers between his brows.
- His transformed body is the White Bone True Body, pale and resilient enough to endure catastrophic tribulation damage 8.
- In later appearances, he is also described in simple green robes, with loose black hair and a calm, star-deep bearing after his Nirvana rebirth 197.
Personality
Ming Xin is composed under pressure, rarely allowing provocation or overwhelming hostility to disrupt his judgment. He confronted Xuanji Zi with a single terrifying glance rather than an outburst, and remained calm even when surrounded by hostile Ancestral Witches 9 56.
His Dao balances slaughter with compassion. He destroys demonic threats without hesitation, yet purifies bloodstained land, frees suffering souls, and regards protecting life as inseparable from severing karma 11 12. This balance also guides his strategic decisions: he suppresses immediate opportunities for power when greater long-term foundations can be built 44.
Despite his lofty cultivation, Ming Xin retains respect for his masters and a capacity for humor. He formally bows to Jieyin and Zhunti even after surpassing them in realm, while his interactions with Xiao Yan reveal a teasing, occasionally impatient side 87 128.
Abilities & Skills
Buddha-Demon Dharma Form
Ming Xin’s innate divine ability fuses the opposed principles of Nirvana and destruction into a single Dharma Form 3.
- Its Buddha half manifests a golden body, crystal kasaya, Nirvana Buddha Light, and liberating intent.
- Its demon half bears curved horns, black scales, crimson karmic fire, destructive lightning, and annihilating demonic intent.
- Enables him to confront large-scale demonic assaults while preserving both killing power and purifying force 12.
White Bone Life-Death Arts
Derived from the White Bone Life-Death Sword and his Dao of Killing, these techniques combine life, death, annihilation, and slaughter 7 8.
- White Bone True Body — a durable transformed body capable of recovering from severe tribulation damage.
- White Bone Life-Death Myriad Buddhas Kingdom — a battlefield-scale manifestation used during heavenly tribulation and against demonic forces.
- White Bone Life-Killing Seal — an ultimate strike condensed from White Bone, Killing, Life-Death, and Annihilation true intents 8.
- White Bone Great Palm Seal and Killing Great Palm Seal — massive palm techniques used to strike the core of a heavenly tribulation 7.
Karma Life-Death Eyes
Awakened upon attaining the Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm, these eyes perceive karmic obstructions and the deeper currents of fate 8.
- Can sever karmic hindrances without directly harming the target.
- Terrified Xuanji Zi and silenced the Assembly of Immortals with a single revealed glance 9.
- Allows Ming Xin to locate hidden treasures and perceive spiritual phenomena, including the Innate Wutu Spirit Pearl 20.
Five Elements Great Dao
Ming Xin inherited the Five-Needle Pine and the remnant origin of the Old Ancestor of Five Elements, integrating them into his killing-based cultivation 13.
- Condensed the Five Elements Emperor Talismans: Azure Wood, Crimson Fire, Central Earth, White Metal, and Black Water 18.
- Uses the Five Elements’ cycles of generation and restraint to reverse enemy techniques.
- Can suppress attacks with Central Wuji Earth authority, redirect metal attacks, and absorb water-element power as replenishment 20.
- Created the Five Elements Sha Demon Divine Ability after refining Ancient Battlefield Sha Qi and raising his path of slaughter to fifty percent 20.
Chaos Five Elements Pagoda
Ming Xin refined the Innate Supreme Treasure Five Elements Chaos Pagoda into both a spiritual treasure and a Dao-protecting divine ability 16 18.
- Suppresses the Five Elements and stabilizes earth, water, fire, and wind.
- Generates Chaos currents heavy enough to function as defensive barriers.
- Can be manifested as a divine-ability phantom even without deploying the treasure’s true body 18.
- Protected Ming Xin from the Heavenly Dao’s Purple Heaven Divine Thunder during his Primordial Limitless breakthrough 66.
Slaying Three Worlds Ming Wang Method
Ming Xin developed a personal Method of Attaining Dao after hearing Hongjun explain the Three Corpses path 15 16.
- Slays and separates Past, Present, and Future aspects rather than following the conventional Three Corpses method.
- His Past Self inherits the Red Dust Dao, mortal emotions, karmic insight, and salvation-oriented cultivation 17.
- His Main Body focuses on slaughter, annihilation, life-and-death authority, and the Five Elements 17.
- Reuniting his Past and Future Selves supplied the foundation for his Primordial Limitless breakthrough 66.
Red Dust, Reincarnation, and Underworld Authority
Ming Xin’s Past Self comprehended the Red Dust and Reincarnation Dao through the karmic desires and emotions of living beings 23 24.
- Myriad Red Dust Domain draws upon causality, desire, and reincarnation to turn illusion into reality and disrupt powerful opponents.
- Immortal Crossing Art emerged after he purified the Weeping Blood Wasteland and absorbed the gratitude of liberated souls 12.
- Holds the office of Yin Tian Zi, jointly governing the Six Paths of Reincarnation with Empress Ping Xin 64.
- Oversees underworld order, judges good and evil, and commands authority over life, death, ghosts, and reincarnation 64 65.
Primordial Dao and Law Command
At higher realms, Ming Xin’s Dao develops from inclusion of laws into their integration, derivation, and return 157.
- Uses Primordial Dao Rhyme to unify different powers and enhance allies’ Creation-law techniques 142.
- Employs Sword Intent of Nothingness to damage an opponent’s Dao Foundation and sever its link to Nirvana Origin 151.
- Can redefine corrupted laws, as when he transformed the Star Devouring Vine Mother Body’s devouring impulse into an offering 202.
- After receiving the origins of the Heavenly, Earthly, and Human Daos, can mobilize the Primordial World’s laws through Words Followed by Dharma 125.
Nirvana and Rebirth
When his forming consciousness was threatened by the Void Race’s Star Gate, Ming Xin compressed himself into a dormant Nirvana state within a crystal shard 195.
- His Nirvana Singularity later expanded into a Proto-Universe.
- He reawakened in a universe-contained form above the Void Race Royal Court 197.
- Purified the Destruction Magic Array, severed the Void Race’s external power connection, and sealed the Three Great Monarchs rather than killing them 197.
