Background / History

Birth and Sheltered Childhood

Qian Renxue is the daughter of Qian Xunji and Bibi Dong, born alongside her biological older brother, Qian Nuo. Following their birth, Qian Daoliu orders both children removed from Bibi Dong for their safety 3.

She spends her first six years cherished within the Pope’s Hall, unaware of her mother’s hostility. Qian Xunji explains Bibi Dong’s absence by saying she is busy, deliberately preserving his daughter’s innocence. Under Qian Daoliu, Renxue receives lessons, sword training, medicinal baths, and preliminary meditation instruction 7 11.

The Angel God Statue identifies her as the most likely successor while she is still an infant. Qian Daoliu consequently takes responsibility for raising her, while Qian Xunji personally raises Qian Nuo 5.

Rejection by Bibi Dong

For Bibi Dong’s birthday, Renxue prepares flowers and eagerly seeks their first meeting. She refuses to believe Qian Nuo’s warning that their mother will reject her. Bibi Dong instead tears apart the bouquet, denies being her mother, and slaps her hard enough to send her flying 7 8.

Qian Nuo catches her and heals her injuries with Cursed Technique Reversal, but the emotional hurt remains. After witnessing his retaliation, Renxue asks him to be less cruel. She chooses to remain with him and asks to sleep beside him because his presence makes her feel safe 8 10.

Her Father’s Death

During training, Renxue experiences sudden chest pain and unexplained tears as though something important has left her. After learning of Qian Xunji’s death, she mourns in her brother’s arms and demands revenge against Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect 19 21.

At this stage, she does not know that Bibi Dong killed her father. Qian Nuo withholds the truth to avoid deepening her grief. Before this, Renxue had already pleaded with him not to kill their mother and sought a pinky promise that he would spare her until explaining his reasons 20 21.

Choosing Her Brother’s Training

Renxue accepts Qian Nuo’s unconventional plan to strengthen her body before obtaining her first Soul Rings. When Qian Daoliu accuses him of risking her life, she tearfully demands that they stop quarrelling, saying she cannot bear to lose either of them after losing her father. She stands beside Qian Nuo and declares her trust in him 15 24.

After obtaining her first two rings, she sets her sights on surpassing her brother. She receives the Angel God Nine Trials and chooses Qian Nuo over Qian Daoliu as her opponent for the year-long Second Trial, believing their opposing attributes will help her grow stronger 28 35 36.

Coronation and Beast Tide

Renxue attends Bibi Dong’s coronation with Qian Nuo, but seeing her mother recalls the earlier slap. Bibi Dong’s affectionate treatment of Hu Liena then provokes envy and resentment: Renxue hates that her mother gives another child the affection she has never received herself 37 38 39.

As her combat training continues, Renxue correctly connects the beast tide to Qian Nuo’s killing of four hundred-thousand-year Soul Beasts; he confirms his responsibility. At the battlefield near Suutuo City, she is distressed by the corpses and wasted Soul Rings. There, Qian Nuo proposes testing whether she could absorb a hundred-thousand-year Third Soul Ring, replacing his earlier ten-thousand-year target with a possibility rather than a completed achievement 37 44 48.

A Hundred-Thousand-Year Third Soul Ring

During an outing, Renxue persuades Qian Nuo to explore Nuoding City and Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy. He allows her to look around while he separately seeks out Yu Xiaogang 55.

By seven years old, she has killed people with her own hands, provoking another dispute between her instructors. Qian Daoliu fears that exposing her to killing so young could damage her mental development and obstruct her trials; Qian Nuo dismisses his objections. Her bearing subsequently becomes more mature 59 64.

After raising ten captive Soul Beasts to the hundred-thousand-year level, Qian Nuo selects the Demonic Shadow Butterfly Emperor for her Third Soul Ring. Qian Daoliu objects to both its age and evil attribute, but Renxue again reassures him that she trusts her brother. Qian Nuo removes the beast’s evil energy and compels it to sacrifice itself rather than be destroyed 64 65.

The sacrifice succeeds, giving her a purple, purple, red configuration and raising her Soul Power to Level 40. Although she can obtain another ring immediately, Qian Nuo instructs her to train for another half-year and complete her Second Trial first, avoiding an unstable foundation 65 66.

Six Years of Training and the Third Trial

Renxue completes the year-long Second Trial, then continues Qian Nuo’s demanding training during a six-year period. Her Third Trial requires her to withstand demigod pressure for half an incense stick’s duration. She again chooses Qian Nuo, whose pressure initially overwhelms her instantly 70.

After repeated failures and sustained physical conditioning, she finally endures the required duration at thirteen. She possesses five rings—two black and three red—and the rewards raise her stated Soul Power from Level 55 to Level 60. Her Angel Affinity reaches fifty percent 70.

Infiltration of the Heaven Dou Imperial Family

Bibi Dong proposes that Renxue replace the Heaven Dou Crown Prince as part of a plan to establish the Spirit Hall Empire. The assignment becomes her Fourth Trial, which emphasizes planning and experience rather than allowing Qian Nuo to conquer the empire for her. Initially reluctant to leave him, Renxue agrees after he promises to accompany her 73 74.

Qian Daoliu provides a disguise Soul Bone separated from the Angel God Armor. Renxue first tests it by transforming into Qian Nuo. Before departing, she again asks Bibi Dong to acknowledge her as her daughter, but receives another rejection 74 75 77.

The siblings ambush Crown Prince Xue Qinghe and his entourage. Renxue kills thirteen Soul Kings and Soul Elders with a self-created sword technique, while the two Soul Emperor captains reveal themselves as Spirit Hall agents. Qian Nuo kills Xue Qinghe, and Renxue prepares to impersonate him, replacing the remaining entourage with her own people. The agents, Zhao Wenchang and Zhao Wen, swear loyalty to the siblings and become her subordinates 78.

Qian Nuo later forces Dugu Bo to serve the disguised crown prince and support her pursuit of the throne. He also takes Renxue to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, gives her two complementary Immortal Herbs, and places her in the spring to refine them within a protective Curtain 82.

As her plan advances, Renxue orders Zhao Wenchang and Zhao Wen to kill Xue Ye’s other princes without leaving evidence. By the time Qian Nuo returns to help finish the assignment, only Xue Ye and Xue Xing remain to be dealt with; Spirit Hall has secretly replaced members of the imperial family and secured the army commanders’ support 98 124.

Gu Yue and Completion of the Fourth Trial

Renxue becomes intensely jealous when Qian Nuo returns with Gu Yue and introduces her as his wife. She admits that she wants to remain with him and even offers to become his wife herself. Learning that Gu Yue is a God King turns her jealousy into a renewed ambition to surpass the Angel God and defeat her sister-in-law 96.

She later acquires a hundred-thousand-year Soul Bone from the Heaven Dou Auction House. Qian Nuo allows her to pay the outstanding auction balance rather than charging her his proposed price of 110 billion Gold Soul Coins. He and Gu Yue also restore the Nine-Tailed Heavenly Bird to an egg and leave it with her. Renxue resolves to improve her cultivation and finish taking over the empire so that she can return to her brother’s side 110.

Reports that Xue Xing and the former imperial family have been killed mark the completion of her Fourth Trial. After receiving its rewards, she absorbs the Nine-Tailed Heavenly Bird’s sacrifice, reaching Level 65 with two black and four red rings. She contacts Qian Nuo to take over the conquered territory, then returns to the Worship Hall to prepare for her Fifth Trial against Qian Daoliu 128.

Later Trials and Reunion with Qian Nuo

While Renxue trains under Qian Daoliu, Bibi Dong seeks her help in obtaining a share of the former Heaven Dou Empire’s territory. Bibi Dong calls herself “Mommy” when making the request, and Renxue, delighted by the acknowledgment despite its purpose, agrees to speak to Qian Nuo. Qian Daoliu hints that her parents’ history explains Bibi Dong’s treatment of her, promising to tell her the truth once she becomes a god 129 130.

Six years later, Renxue is a little over nineteen and has reached Level 95 with nine hundred-thousand-year rings. She finally defeats Qian Daoliu and passes the Fifth Trial, unaware that he deliberately holds back to avoid delaying her inheritance further 137.

She subsequently defeats the other six Worships under Qian Daoliu’s pressure, completing the Sixth Trial and reaching peak Level 96. The Seventh Trial requires her to draw the Angel Holy Sword. The elders have secretly eased her recent challenges, and Qian Daoliu forbids them from revealing that his sacrifice will be required for her final trial 148 149.

Qian Nuo returns to the Worship Hall after their six-year separation. Renxue joyfully embraces him and explains her hope of becoming the Angel God and joining him in the Divine Realm. They leave together to relax and later watch the Continental Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament 149 150 155.

Becoming the Angel God

Renxue completes the Angel Trials and becomes the new Angel God, but her achievement is overshadowed by Qian Daoliu’s sacrifice. Before dying, he tells her the truth about her parents’ past. Learning of Qian Xunji’s abuse of Bibi Dong destroys her idealized image of her father and deepens her sympathy for her mother 174.

Upon inheriting the godhood, she receives a message from the previous Angel God ordering her to kill Qian Nuo and revealing that the Divine Realm’s gods intend to kill him when he ascends. Renxue refuses to turn against her brother and warns him instead 174.

Their reunion nevertheless becomes confrontational. Qian Nuo orders her to kill Tang Xiao, who is inheriting the Sea God Godhood on Sea God Island. After arguing over Bibi Dong and attacking her brother, Renxue is physically punished and warned that further challenges to his authority will endanger their mother. She continues pleading for Bibi Dong’s life and refuses the Sea God Island assignment 174.

Protecting the Empire and Reconciling with Bibi Dong

During Qian Nuo’s absence and the loss of contact with the Divine Realm, Renxue remains in the lower realm to maintain order, carry out reforms, and protect his empire. Qian Daoliu is subsequently present again after his sacrifice; Qian Nuo has preserved his soul and later grants him the Asura God Godhood 176 186 188.

When Bibi Dong becomes the Rakshasa God, Renxue tells her that she understands her suffering and asks her to stop blaming the children for their father’s actions. Bibi Dong instead demands control of the empire. Renxue refuses to surrender Qian Nuo’s realm and fights her mother, deliberately drawing their battle higher into the sky to protect civilians and buildings 186 187.

Although uninjured, Renxue falls into a disadvantage before Qian Daoliu intervenes. Qian Nuo then returns as the Demon God and threatens to kill Bibi Dong. Renxue shields her mother despite his warning, and he launches an apparently lethal attack toward them both. Bibi Dong pushes Renxue aside and takes the strike herself 187 188.

Qian Nuo reveals that the attack tested Bibi Dong’s feelings for her daughter. After she surrenders the Rakshasa Godhood and receives the Goddess of Kindness Godhood, Bibi Dong acknowledges Renxue, apologizes for involving her in the conflict with Qian Xunji, and promises to spend the future making amends. Renxue finally receives the maternal affection she has long sought 188.

Appearance

Qian Renxue is introduced as a small, golden-haired, blue-eyed girl whose face strongly resembles Qian Xunji’s 8.

Personality

Initially innocent, affectionate, and playful, Renxue expects kindness from a mother she has never met. She pouts at Qian Nuo’s teasing nickname and frequently seeks his attention and reassurance. Although his anger frightens her, she is equally afraid of being ignored by him 7 10 25.

Her loyalty to her brother outweighs the hostility her angelic power instinctively feels toward his evil attribute. She consciously suppresses that reaction and promises to stand by him even if the entire world despises him. She also tries to preserve his relationship with their grandfather rather than choosing to abandon either relative 7 12 24 28.

Renxue remains compassionate despite her increasingly harsh training. She asks Qian Nuo to curb his cruelty, cries while witnessing Wu Zhao’s brutal beating, and questions why humans and Soul Beasts must kill one another 10 30 48.

She is also ambitious and increasingly resilient. Earning her brother’s rare praise matters deeply to her, and she sees becoming the Angel God as her chance to catch up with him. During later training, she repeatedly gets back up without crying and refuses Qian Daoliu’s attempts to intervene 28 35 42 44.

Years of conditioning make her more composed and capable of ruthlessness. At thirteen, she no longer cries immediately when Bibi Dong rejects her. She adopts a cold, commanding manner toward subordinates, swiftly kills Xue Qinghe’s guards, and later orders the elimination of rival princes without evidence 77 78 98.

Her attachment to Qian Nuo becomes possessive and explicitly romantic. She resents Gu Yue for taking his attention, offers to become his wife herself, and sometimes regrets accepting the imperial assignment because it separates them. Even after recognizing Gu Yue as her sister-in-law, she continues to express jealousy 96 105 124.

Her desire for family unity remains a powerful motive. She continues seeking Bibi Dong’s acknowledgment despite repeated rejection and, after learning the truth about her parents, refuses to treat her mother as an enemy. Nevertheless, she will oppose Bibi Dong to defend her brother’s empire, while taking care to protect civilians from their battle 130 174 186 187.
