The Dust Settled
With the combined efforts of the elven Warrior in the central army, the Wild Bear Loa Priest Loa was also knocked unconscious.
Amidst the cheers of the other elven soldiers, Jarod, who had been hidden among the Highborne soldiers, struck Dath'Remar with his sword.
Jarod's Silver Blade has purifying abilities, which effectively counteracts the dark energy within Dath'Remar.
Throughout the journey, Jarod kept the Silver Blade in his magical backpack, disguising himself as an ordinary Highborne soldier to deceive everyone.
When Jarod found an opportunity, he took out the Silver Blade and plunged it directly into Dath'Remar's body.
The purifying light of the Silver Blade shone, and black energy began to emerge from Dath'Remar's wound.
The purification process was painful, Dath'Remar let out a agonizing wail.
"Ah!" Dath'Remar's painful howl drew the attention of all the elves on the field.
They witnessed Jarod's actions and the Silver Blade that pierced Dath'Remar.
"What are you doing!"
"How dare you harm Lord Dath'Remar!"
Jarod's actions aroused the resentment of many Highborne.
The Highborne soldiers' distraction gave the demoralized Forest Troll an opportunity.
Originally, many Forest Troll had considered retreating after the fall of the Wild Bear Loa.
But Kaostin saw that internal strife had broken out among the Highborne, which gave him an opportunity.
"There's been internal strife among those elves!"
"This is our chance! Charge in and wipe them out, and victory will be ours!" Kaostin said.
The other Forest Troll heard Kaostin's words and saw the elven army that was now in disarray before them.
The flame of attack was rekindled in their hearts, and they stood behind Kaostin.
Kaostin laughed as he saw more and more Forest Troll standing behind him.
"Come on, gentlemen, let's go crazy again!" Kaostin said to the three chiefs before him.
"You're crazy," Krongsai said, walking up behind Kaostin.
"I want an opponent, and this time you can't interfere," Ennoka said.
"Since you've all gone, I can't not go either." Zakas walked up to them, weapon in hand.
"Then let's begin the hunt." With that, Kaostin charged forward first.
Seeing this, the other Forest Troll also shouted and rushed over, preparing to give the Highborne a big surprise.
The elves were still in shock from Jarod's attack on Dath'Remar.
When they saw that the Forest Troll had not retreated but instead launched another attack, they realized that the forest trolls were not retreating.
"Defend! Defend now!" The Highborne captain began directing the Highborne soldiers to defend.
"What about Lord Dath'Remar!" an elven soldier exclaimed after killing a Forest Troll.
"Lord Dath'Remar, hold on! Our mission now is to stop these attacking Forest Troll!"
"Our families, many civilians, and the wounded are behind us!" The words of the Highborne captain jolted all the elven soldiers awake.
They also understood that their most important task now was to stop the Forest Troll in front of them.
And so the meat grinder of the battlefield began to turn once more, and bloodshed and screams were once again played out here.
On the other side, Jarod's actions attracted the attention of the Highborne soldiers and the Hand of the Bright Moon.
"Draw your sword! I command you!" said the captain of Dath'Remar's guard.
The other guards surrounded Jarod, their weapons pointed at him. At the captain's command, they would swarm him and kill him.
"The adults you trust have been controlled by the power of the Old Gods."
"And I'm saving him now," Jarod said, his grip tightening and the Silver Blade shining brighter. Dath'Remar's screams grew louder, and more of the black aura was expelled.
"But your actions are killing him!" said the captain of Dath'Remar's guard, brandishing his weapon.
Just then, the Hand of the Bright Moon the Hand of the Bright Moon began its operation, cleanly and swiftly striking down all the personal guards, the so-called elite troops who were protecting Jarod.
The Hand of the Bright Moon already harbored resentment; if it weren't for these burdens, they could have defeated the Wild Bear Loa Priest without suffering any casualties.
But because they had to be taken care of, their brothers fell here, on this unfamiliar land.
"Damn it," said the Dath'Remar captain of the royal guard, lying on the ground.
"Get ready, when I draw the Silver Blade, the Shaman will cast a healing spell," Jarod said to the Hand of the Bright Moon around him.
"Understood." The Hand of the Bright Moon nodded.
"Alright, let's bring this all to a satisfactory conclusion," Jarod said.
The Silver Blade shone even brighter, and Dath'Remar's screams grew even louder.
Finally, the dark energy within Dath'Remar was expelled, and the purification ritual was largely complete.
Jarod pulled the Silver Blade from Dath'Remar's body.
Dath'Remar's body went limp and he collapsed as Jarod drew his weapon.
The surrounding Hand of the Bright Moon Shaman used healing spells to heal Dath'Remar the instant the Silver Blade was drawn.
The Shaman cast a healing spell on Dath'Remar, and the gentle healing magic began to heal Dath'Remar's wounds.
The Silver Blade did not kill Dath'Remar; it merely purified the dark energy within him.
The dark aura and Dath'Remar's soul have become one.
Purifying the dark energy will cause some damage to Dath'Remar's soul, but not enough to kill him outright.
But his life after he wakes up will definitely be affected.
The Shaman's healing spells began to repair the penetrating wound in Dath'Remar's abdomen.
The wounds had begun to heal, and Dath'Remar's complexion was regaining color.
"Alright, Dath'Remar has recovered. The only remaining problem is those Forest Troll," Jarod said.
On the other side of the battlefield, the Highborne are fending off the attacks of the Forest Troll.
With the help of three chieftains and a general, the Forest Troll are advancing steadily.
The Highborne soldiers are holding off the Forest Troll ' attack with sheer willpower.
"Alright, Dath'Remar is yours now. We're going to wipe out those Forest Troll." With that, Jarod led the Hand of the Bright Moon to ambush the rear of the Forest Troll.
As for why he didn't directly help the Highborne soldiers, Jarod feared that the Highborne soldiers, blinded by rage, would attack indiscriminately, causing unnecessary casualties.
Jarod took all the Hand of the Bright Moon, so only the fallen Dath'Remar and his personal guards remained.
"Lord Dath'Remar!" The captain of the guard scrambled to his feet and ran to Dath'Remar's side.
"What's wrong with me?" Dath'Remar asked, touching his head.
His head was throbbing so badly it felt like it was going to explode. When he saw that Dath'Remar had woken up, the other guards came over.
They failed to notice that Priest Lord the Wild Bear had awakened and fled the area.
