A Way to Save Him
"There is only one way to save your friend," the Will of Azeroth told Snyder.
What method?
"As the saying goes, what goes up must come down. You can wait until the dark energy is at its strongest and then use the Silver Blade to drive it away." The Will of Azeroth offered its solution.
"At its strongest? Why its strongest? Shouldn't it be its weakest?" Snyder wondered.
"The Silver Blade only glowed faintly at first because the power of the black energy was too weak, which is why its reaction was so small."
"Only when the power of the dark energy reaches its peak can the Silver Blade's purification ability reach its maximum, and the purification will be more thorough."
The Will of Azeroth explained why the purification should only begin when the dark energy is at its strongest.
Snyder didn't quite agree with Azeroth's approach.
"Isn't it most dangerous to purify when the dark energy is at its strongest?"
"If we purify him at the most dangerous time, will Dath'Remar be in danger?" Snyder asked.
"There is danger. The danger arises when he is invaded by the black energy and it is not quickly expelled. They will only relax when the black energy is at its strongest, and that's when your chance comes."
"Besides, you only have one chance. If the purification fails, your friends will become slaves of the Old Gods," said the Will of Azeroth.
"Your friend should be able to hold on. From your description, I can tell that his will is still fighting against the power of the Old Gods."
"His will is strong; have faith in him." These words from the Will of Azeroth were like a shot in the arm for Snyder.
"Then how should I save him? I can't just use the Silver Blade to give him a good beating, can I?"
"You can try sending your friend to rebirth if you want." The Will of Azeroth was speechless at Snyder's words.
"Just kidding, just kidding." Snyder realized his words had gone a bit too far.
"Then what should we do?" Snyder asked earnestly.
"All you need to do is let the wielder of the Silver Blade infuse the weapon with his power, maximizing its purifying ability, and then shine the weapon's purifying light upon him."
"The dark energy will be forced out by the guardian's power, and then you can eliminate it."
"With your strength, destroying it should be quite easy." The Will of Azeroth revealed to Snyder how to save Dath'Remar.
"Okay, I'll get my friend back," Snyder said.
"Go, go save your friend." With that, the Will of Azeroth withdrew from Snyder's soul.
"I've made the choice that's best for myself, little Snyder, you must do me a favor," said the Will of Azeroth that had withdrawn from Snyder's soul.
The Will of Azeroth deceived Snyder; the method he offered could indeed completely remove the dark energy.
However, when the dark energy was at its strongest, Dath'Remar's will had already merged with it.
Expelling the dark energy is equivalent to tearing a piece off Dath'Remar's will.
After the dark energy is dispelled, Dath'Remar will not die, but he will fall into a permanent slumber, during which he will die.
Snyder could then recruit these Highborne to his own side.
Azeroth's defenses can then be strengthened.
The reason the Will of Azeroth is doing this is because Snyder is inextricably linked to Azeroth.
Snyder is essentially the fifth Elemental Lords, and only he will continue to protect Azeroth.
After concluding his conversation with the Will of Azeroth, Snyder sat alone on his bed, reflecting on his discussion with the Will of Azeroth.
"It's too dangerous to purify when the dark energy is at its strongest."
"When Dath'Remar acted strangely twice, I had Jarod use the Silver Blade to purify him."
"As long as the power is sufficient, the purification should be successful," Snyder thought to himself.
"Someone, go and summon General Jarod." Snyder ordered the guards outside to fetch Jarod.
But he didn't realize that his actions had cost him an opportunity to unite the entire Highborne.
Although Snyder absorbed these Highborne, their High Elves, thousands of years later when they were on the verge of extinction, it would still be better to absorb them directly now.
When the guards went to the Hand of the Bright Moon's encampment to find Jarod, Jarod was meditating.
Jarod sat cross-legged, placing the Silver Blade on his lap. He used this action to deepen his connection with the Silver Blade and to enhance his understanding of Tyr's combat techniques.
"My lord, His Majesty Snyder has sent guards to summon you to see him," Jarod's personal guard whispered to Jarod.
Upon hearing his guard's words, Jarod opened his eyes and emerged from his meditation.
"No need to be so quiet, I'm meditating deeply," Jarod said with a smile to his bodyguard.
"Well, I just didn't want to bother you, but I can't disobey His Majesty Snyder," the guard said, blushing.
"It's alright, it's alright, let the guards in." Jarod had his personal guards bring the guards outside the door in.
"General Jarod, His Majesty Snyder has asked me to summon you." The guard entered and explained the reason for his visit.
Is something the matter? Didn't His Majesty tell you why he sent me?
"There is no general here. His Majesty simply instructed me to summon you," the guard said.
"Alright, you lead the way, we'll be right there." Jarod stood up and said to the guard.
"I'm going to see His Majesty. You'll be in charge here for now," Jarod said to his personal guard.
"Don't worry, I'll handle things here," the guard said to Jarod.
After seeing that Jarod had arranged everything, the guard stepped forward to lead the way for Jarod.
Soon the guards led Jarod to Snyder's residence.
"Your Majesty, General Jarod has been brought in," the guard reported to Snyder.
"Okay, you can go now." Snyder dismissed the guards, leaving only himself and Jarod in the room.
"What business does Your Majesty have with me?" Jarod asked.
"I've found a way to save Dath'Remar," Snyder said bluntly.
What method?
This requires your help.
"Me? What can I do?"
Snyder told Jarod the method the Will of Azeroth had given him and his own thoughts.
"Is this method really effective?" Jarod felt that this method was unreliable.
"But we don't have any better solutions than this."
"Give it a try; it's better than doing nothing."
Snyder and Jarod decide to use this method to save Dath'Remar.
Meanwhile, Dath'Remar and the Highborne were also ready to migrate en masse.
