A Bloody Battle
Kaostin found his adversary, Daren Theron, a general of the Highborne.
Two outstanding individuals from their respective races clashed here.
The two fought back and forth, with Kaostin's axe being heavy and sharp, and Daren Theron's twin swords being fast and sharp.
Both sides were making the most of their weapons. Whenever Daren Theron couldn't dodge Kaostin's giant axe, he could only block it with his twin swords. Kaostin was much stronger than Daren Theron.
When Daren Theron approached Kaostin with his agile swordsmanship and nimble footwork, Kaostin could only pull back and then swing his axe, using its sharpness to force the approaching Daren Theron back.
Compared to the one-on-one duels between the two generals, the soldiers on both sides were far less composed.
There is no civilization on the battlefield; soldiers on both sides use the surrounding terrain and objects to kill their enemies.
It is common for the outnumbered to bully the outnumbered on the battlefield. The two races already had hatred for each other. The Troll wanted to wash away thousands of years of shame, while the elves wanted to gain a place to settle down.
The Hand of the Bright Moon, who had come to provide support, also joined the battle at Snyder's signal.
The soldiers of the Hand of the Bright Moon are far stronger than the Forest Troll Warrior and Highborne Warrior.
A single Hand of the Bright Moon Warrior could overwhelm several Forest Troll soldiers. When Kaostin's lieutenant saw that another elven army had joined the fray and that his own casualties had greatly increased, he hurriedly ran towards Kaostin.
The addition of the Hand of the Bright Moon caused the previously stable scales to tip. The scales of victory began to tilt towards the Highborne.
Snyder shook his head as he watched the Hand of the Bright Moon wreaking havoc in the distance.
The arrival of the Hand of the Bright Moon turned the battle into a massacre, and under Snyder's tutelage, the Hand of the Bright Moon stood at the pinnacle of the mortal army.
At that moment, an explosion occurred in the Highborne camp behind Snyder.
The sound of the explosion caught Snyder's attention.
"Guards, go and see what's going on?" Snyder said to the guard beside him.
The guards, having received Snyder's orders, ran toward the camp.
Kaostin's adjutant approached Kaostin, who was with Daren Theron.
"General! Enemy reinforcements have arrived. We've suffered heavy casualties!" Taking advantage of Daren Theron's momentary lapse in attention, the adjutant threw a throwing axe at him.
Just as Daren Theron was about to be hit by Theron flying axe, an Daren blocked his path.
With a "clang," the two axes collided, and the flying axe was blocked by the giant axe and fell to the ground.
"I will deal with my opponent personally. My lieutenant, you have overstepped your bounds." Having done all this, Kaostin leaped backward to his lieutenant's side.
Daren Theron, seeing this, also put away his weapon, surprised by the Troll's behavior.
"Our battle will continue next time, so don't die!" After saying that, Kaostin retreated with his adjutant.
"I'll kill you next time," Daren Theron said.
After Kaostin withdrew, the Troll sounded the retreat horn.
"Woo." A long, drawn-out horn sounded.
Upon hearing the retreat horn, the Forest Troll withdrew from the battlefield.
Both sides left many corpses here. Although the Highborne received help from the Hand of the Bright Moon, many Highborne Warrior still died in this great battle.
The guard returned from the camp with news, along with many angry Highborne.
Snyder saw many angry Highborne questions creeping into his mind.
Let's turn our attention to the Shadow Hunter squad, who are currently on a decapitation mission.
"Captain, the one calming down the other elves must be their leader," the young Shadow Hunter said.
The Shadow Hunter squad is looking for their next target after killing the old nobleman.
As they passed through the square, they saw Dath'Remar and his gang calming the crowd.
"This elf must hold a high position; look at the guards around him—they're different from ordinary soldiers."
"Yes, as long as we kill him, we will rid Shadra of a great threat."
All the Forest Troll Shadow Hunter revealed greedy eyes, except for their captain, who was fortunate to be hidden in the shadows or they would have been discovered much earlier.
"Alright, all of you shut up!" The Shadow Hunter captain interrupted the Shadow Hunter who were talking.
"You're all talking about the benefits of killing him, so who among you is going to kill him?"
The Shadow Hunter captain's words struck the hearts of the other Shadow Hunter like a heavy hammer.
"Alright, wait until he leaves this place. Then we'll follow him, and when there are fewer elves around him, we'll swarm him and kill him."
Seeing that the other Shadow Hunter remained silent, the Shadow Hunter captain revealed his plan.
"Understood, Captain," the older Shadow Hunter said, and the other Shadow Hunter nodded in agreement.
"Remember to be quick, otherwise if those elves find us, we won't be able to escape unscathed," Kaostin added.
Having finalized their plan, the Shadow Hunter went into hiding, waiting for an opportunity.
As if he knew the Shadow Hunter ' plan, Dath'Remar calmed the civilians down and left with his guards Dath'Remar the Shadow Hunter finished formulating their plan.
Seeing this, the Shadow Hunter simply followed Dath'Remar.
Dath'Remar returned to his command post and ordered his adjutant to lead his guards to extinguish the fire, assist the old nobleman in inventorying the remaining supplies, and search the entire camp to capture the arsonist.
Meanwhile, he was in the command post thinking about how to get through this period, as their supplies would be insufficient if the materials were destroyed.
Dath'Remar's lieutenant knew that his master was having a major headache, so he didn't ask any more questions and went to carry out the mission.
Soon only Dath'Remar the elf and a squad of Shadow Hunter lurking in the shadows remained in the command post.
Seeing an opportunity, the Shadow Hunter exchanged glances, drew their weapons, and began to approach Dath'Remar.
"Die!" The Shadow Hunter charged toward Dath'Remar, weapons in hand.
Dath'Remar felt a chill run down his spine and sensed danger, so he immediately cast an Arcane Shield on himself.
"Clang." The Shadow Hunter's weapon struck Dath'Remar's Arcane Shield.
Seeing that their attack had missed, the Shadow Hunter prepared to retreat. They had already missed their best opportunity, and continuing would greatly increase their chances of death.
"Trying to leave!" Dath'Remar immediately unleashed a massive fireball.
"Boom!" The fireball struck the spot where the Shadow Hunter was, but the Shadow Hunter had already dodged it the instant it was launched.
Dath'Remar didn't expect to kill with one blow; he was simply using this method to alert those outside that an assassin had entered the camp.
The sound of the fireball exploding attracted all the soldiers near the command post, who rushed over.
