Dath'Remar's Fireball attracted all the guards near the command post.

The Shadow Hunter, having missed their attack, also prepared to retreat.

However, retreat is now practically impossible.

"Kill him! Only by killing him can we retreat!" The Shadow Hunter captain shouted before charging forward.

The other Shadow Hunter followed their captain and charged forward.

They all understood that this was the best option at the moment; if they wanted to get out alive, this was their only chance to fight for survival.

The Shadow Hunter abandoned their cover in the shadows and emerged from them.

They unleashed their throwing weapons at Dath'Remar.

Seeing this, Dath'Remar raised his hand and cast an Arcane Shield, blocking the thrown weapon that was aimed at him.

"You're done fighting, now it's my turn." Dath'Remar removed his Arcane Shield and picked up the Flamestrike hanging from his waist.

Dath'Remar infused magical energy into Flamestrike.

The blade of Flamestrike began to emit a fiery red light after being infused with energy.

Magical runes began to appear on the blade, Dath'Remar chanted a spell.

Flames began to appear on the Flamestrike, and slowly spread across the entire blade.

"Come on, let me see how strong you really are." With that, he struck the Shadow Hunter with his flaming sword.

The Shadow Hunter captain swung his weapon, blocking Dath'Remar's attack.

The other Shadow Hunter seized the opportunity to swing their weapons, trying to hit Dath'Remar.

Dath'Remar kicked the Shadow Hunter captain aside, then turned and swung his sword to block the attacks of the other Shadow Hunter.

"Outnumbering the enemy?" Dath'Remar took advantage of the Shadow Hunter's attack gap to cast a spell.

A burst of fiery energy erupted from Flamestrike, forcing the Shadow Hunter beside Dath'Remar back.

"Keep attacking! You draw his attention, I'll sneak into the shadows and deliver the fatal blow," the Shadow Hunter captain said in Trollish.

After the captain finished speaking, the other Shadow Hunter continued their attack, while the Shadow Hunter captain took advantage of Dath'Remar being preoccupied with the other Shadow Hunter and unable to attend to him, and vanished into the shadows.

The Shadow Hunter split into two groups: one group charged in to engage Dath'Remar in melee combat, while the other group harassed him from a distance.

Dath'Remar, preoccupied with dealing with the Shadow Hunter's attacks, experienced increasingly volatile emotions.

As Dath'Remar once again dealt with the Shadow Hunter's attack, the Shadow Hunter captain, who was lurking near Dath'Remar, found an opportunity.

He drew a poisoned dagger. "Die!" The Shadow Hunter captain emerged from the shadows.

Dath'Remar also noticed the Shadow Hunter captain's actions, but the Shadow Hunter moved too quickly and was too close, so it was too late for him to notice.

But Dath'Remar was no pushover either; Dath'Remar thrust his Flamestrike deep into the Shadow Hunter captain's body.

Meanwhile, the Shadow Hunter captain's poisoned dagger was deflected due to Dath'Remar's resistance.

The poisoned dagger pierced Dath'Remar's shoulder armor, leaving a deep gash that exposed bone.

The attack was originally intended to strike Dath'Remar's heart, but it was deflected due to Dath'Remar's attack.

Otherwise, this attack could have killed Dath'Remar instantly.

The Shadow Hunter captain's attack didn't kill Dath'Remar, but Dath'Remar's sword pierced right through the Shadow Hunter captain's body.

The flame energy directly charred the skin around the wound.

Dath'Remar used all the power he could muster to kick the Shadow Hunter captain off the blade.

After finishing, he immediately knelt down, and the effects of the poison began to appear at that moment.

The area around the wound had begun to turn black, and cold sweat started to break out on Dath'Remar's forehead.

"Cough cough, this is a dose enough to kill a fully grown wild bear. You won't survive without the antidote!" The Shadow Hunter captain said, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"Captain, how are you?" The young Shadow Hunter ran over, took out a healing potion from his backpack, and began to treat his captain.

"I can't go on living! But at least I'll have someone to die with me!"

"Quick! Give him a fatal blow!" the Shadow Hunter captain shouted.

The Shadow Hunter captain's words brought the Shadow Hunter around Dath'Remar back to their senses.

They all raised their weapons and slashed at Dath'Remar, Dath'Remar lay on the ground offering no resistance.

Once he dies, the conflict between the Forest Troll and the Highborne will become irreconcilable.

"Bang!" The door to the command post was kicked open.

"Lord Dath'Remar, we've arrived!" Just then, Dath'Remar's lieutenant led the Highborne army to provide support.

The Highborne Warrior surrounding the lieutenant also rushed in, blocking the Shadow Hunter who was swinging his sword at Dath'Remar.

"My lord, are you alright?" Dath'Remar's lieutenant rushed over.

Dath'Remar suppressed his anger and said, "It's nothing." But his anger was evident in his tone.

"My lord, we are late." Dath'Remar's lieutenant, seeing the blackened wound on Dath'Remar's shoulder, understood his lord's anger.

"Hand over the antidote now!" Dath'Remar's lieutenant pointed his sword at the two Shadow Hunter captains.

"What are you thinking! That's impossible. It's worth it for a few of us to take down your leader," the young Shadow Hunter said.

The other Shadow Hunter also broke free of their opponents and rejoined their captain.

The Shadow Hunter captain forced himself to stand up and exchanged glances with the adult Shadow Hunter around him.

The other adult Shadow Hunter nodded in agreement.

"Enough talk, let's go!" The Shadow Hunter captain raised his weapon.

"Then kill them and find the antidote on their corpses," said Dath'Remar's lieutenant.

The two groups were locked in a fierce battle, and they were about to clash.

The Shadow Hunter captain and the other Shadow Hunter struck the young Shadow Hunter Shadow Hunter with a palm strike, knocking him out of the battle's range.

"We'll hold them off! You go back and report to the general!" the Shadow Hunter captain said, leading his Shadow Hunter straight towards the Highborne soldiers.

"Don't let a single one escape!" Dath'Remar's lieutenant ordered.

Upon seeing this, the young Shadow Hunter quickly vanished into the shadows and began his retreat.

On the way back, he realized why his senior teammates had said he was too young and impetuous before the operation.

It's too late now. All I can do now is send the message back and remember this lesson learned in blood and tears.

The Shadow Hunter were no match for the enraged Highborne and were all killed in no time.

"My lord, they don't have the antidote," said Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
