The Warrior Filled with Rage
The Shadow Hunter captain's strategy of trading blows for damage resulted in Dath'Remar being poisoned.
The toxins have already begun to spread through the wounds, and it's only a matter of time before they spread throughout the body.
However, the Highborne soldiers found no antidote on the corpses of the Shadow Hunter squad.
"Quickly, go find a doctor," Dath'Remar's adjutant said to the soldier beside him.
"It's too late," Dath'Remar said, taking a deep breath.
The poison has almost covered his entire arm; if a decision isn't made soon, Dath'Remar will surely die here.
"Lieutenant, use Flamestrike to cut off our poisoned arms," Dath'Remar said.
"This..." Dath'Remar's words put his adjutant in a dilemma.
"If you want me to live, then do it now!" Dath'Remar roared.
"Excuse me, sir." Hearing the consequences of not acting immediately, he stopped hesitating and picked up the Flamestrike.
"You two, hold Lord Dath'Remar down," Dath'Remar's lieutenant said to the two Highborne soldiers.
Upon hearing the order, the two Highborne soldiers immediately stepped forward and pinned Dath'Remar down.
Dath'Remar's lieutenant gripped Flamestrike, preparing to sever Dath'Remar's arm.
"My lord, please bear with me, I'm about to make my move," said Dath'Remar's adjutant.
He then swung his Flamestrike at the poisoned arm.
The Flamestrike eliminated the need for sterilization.
With a "whoosh," Dath'Remar's poisoned arm was severed.
The poisoned arm had turned a deep purple-black and was completely necrotic, while the broken part of Dath'Remar's wound had "healed," having been cured by the flames.
"My lord, are you alright?" Dath'Remar's adjutant asked.
"It's alright, I just need to get used to living with only one arm for a while," Dath'Remar said, looking at his now empty left arm.
"Damn it, I'll gather the troops right now and wipe out those Forest Troll!" said Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
His words resonated with the surrounding Highborne, who all said they would teach those Forest Troll a lesson.
Dath'Remar was also pleased to see the Highborne around him enraged.
"Calm down, you all need to calm down! I've only lost an arm, that doesn't mean you have to fight the Forest Troll to the death," Dath'Remar said.
After saying that, Dath'Remar pretended to faint.
Although Dath'Remar's words were not to forbid the Highborne and Forest Troll from fighting to the death, the implication was that he intended for them to fight the Forest Troll to the death.
"Let's fight! The fiercer the fight, the better! The more people die, the better!"
"Only in this way will it be most beneficial to the Black Empire," said Dath'Remar, who was controlled by the dark energy.
"It seems I underestimated this elf; he was able to occasionally break free from my control, even when I had him under my most vulnerable state."
"But it's all useless. I'm almost done with my mission, and I've already stirred up hatred between the two races."
"The last thing I want to do is to make this war burn even brighter."
Dath'Remar, who was controlled by the dark energy, thought to himself.
"Lord Dath'Remar!" The surrounding Highborne soldiers rushed forward to check on Dath'Remar after he collapsed.
"Alright, you all take Lord Dath'Remar to receive treatment first. Leave the rest to me," Dath'Remar's adjutant said to the surrounding soldiers.
Two soldiers stepped forward and lifted the unconscious Dath'Remar, preparing to take Dath'Remar to the doctor.
The rest gathered around Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
"Now assemble the troops, gather all the teams except those protecting civilians."
"Then take stock of the remaining supplies and assess civilian casualties."
"The harm done to Lord Dath'Remar must be repaid to those savage Troll a thousandfold."
"Also, send a messenger to inform General Daren Theron of Lord Dath'Remar's injury."
"Now, everyone get moving!" said Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
The other guards immediately began to act upon receiving the order.
Under the command of Lieutenant Dath'Remar, order began to be restored in an orderly manner within the Highborne camp.
"A messenger has been sent from the front lines to inquire why the explosion occurred in the camp," Highborne soldier told Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
"Let him in," said Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
"My lord, where is Lord Dath'Remar?" The messenger who entered was puzzled when he saw that it was not Dath'Remar who greeted him, but his adjutant.
"Dath'Remar has been wounded by an assassin sent by the Forest Troll, so I'm temporarily in command here."
"What! Lord Dath'Remar is injured!" The messenger was clearly shocked by the news.
"Lord Dath'Remar has lost an arm and is currently unconscious and receiving treatment."
"We must make those Forest Troll pay the price." After saying this, Lieutenant Dath'Remar slammed his fist heavily on the table.
"By the way, how's it going at the front?" Dath'Remar's adjutant asked.
"The Forest Troll army is attacking the front lines, and Lord Snyder and General Daren Theron are leading the troops in a counterattack," the messenger reported.
"I've just finished assembling the troops, let's settle our old scores and new grievances together!" With that, Dath'Remar's adjutant got up and went out to lead the troops to the front lines.
Dath'Remar's lieutenant informed the assembled Highborne troops of what had happened at the front.
The Highborne all said they were going to teach those Forest Troll a lesson.
Dath'Remar's lieutenant led 10,000 Highborne troops to the front lines.
When Dath'Remar's lieutenant arrived at the front with his own force of ten thousand Highborne troops.
Daren Theron is directing the Highborne to repair fortifications in preparation for the coming attack by the Forest Troll.
Snyder then sent out sentries to guard against a sneak attack by the Forest Troll.
"General Daren, Lord Snyder, where are the Forest Troll?" Dath'Remar's lieutenant asked.
"They've retreated. How is Lord Dath'Remar? I heard Dath'Remar's injured?" Daren Theron asked.
"Lord Dath'Remar lost an arm in the Forest Troll's ambush, and he is currently receiving treatment."
"What's going on? Didn't your guards spot the Forest Troll raiding force?" Snyder asked.
"These Forest Troll ambushed our forces, first setting fire to our supplies and then killing the old nobleman in charge of the supplies."
"Then they tried to kill Lord Dath'Remar, and eventually their fighting attracted our attention."
"But we arrived too late; Dath'Remar had already been wounded by the poisoned weapon."
"We must make the Forest Troll pay the price to avenge Lord Dath'Remar!" Dath'Remar's lieutenant said through gritted teeth.
