An Unfair War
Driven by rage, Dath'Remar's lieutenant led his army in pursuit of the retreating Forest Troll.
But his action fell right into the Forest Troll's trap.
Under the Forest Troll ' gradual luring, the elves' pursuing forces walked step by step into the Troll ' ambush.
Finally, when the elven army entered the ambush, the allied forces of the three races, who had been lying in wait, rushed out, ready to devour the elves.
"Let me see your strength," Ennoka said, leading his troops forward.
"This guy is still so impulsive." Zakas said before launching his attack.
Krongsai said nothing; to him, this was just a mission. So he commanded his clan forces to unleash a rain of arrows to wear them down from a distance.
Completing the mission, surviving, taking your share, and leading your clan's Warrior back—that's what a true and good chieftain should do.
This is why Kaostin felt that Krongsai were easier to control.
The chief of a clan living in the Barrens was a good man who cared deeply for his people. These two factors made him destined to be a chief who prioritized the interests of the clan.
"Archers prepare to fire, but the mage troops cast shields to block the enemy's rain of arrows."
"The Warrior force has dealt with the approaching Forest Troll."
"That's what my lieutenant Dath'Remar said as he killed the Forest Troll soldiers who charged at him," Dath'Remar said.
A large number of Forest Troll soldiers completely surrounded the Highborne's pursuing forces.
Although the Highborne put up a fierce resistance, the Forest Troll were simply too numerous.
They are gradually encroaching on the elven forces' living space.
"Damn it," Dath'Remar cursed.
His anger intensified, and his gaze locked onto a Forest Troll that was attacking.
It was a Troll dressed differently from the other Forest Troll soldiers; he was launching a frenzied attack on an elven defensive line.
"I'll use you as an example," Dath'Remar thought to himself.
After killing the Forest Troll in front of him with a single sword strike, Dath'Remar charged at the Troll with his weapon.
Ennoka, who was on the offensive, sensed danger and immediately dodged, temporarily abandoning his attack on the elf in front of him.
Just as Ennoka dodged, Dath'Remar's attack struck the spot where Ennoka had just been standing.
"You look much better than him, let's have a go."
Ennoka's eyes lit up; he realized this elf was much stronger than the one he had just attacked.
"You go help the others first, I'll deal with him."
"Dath'Remar," said the lieutenant to the elf who had been attacked by Ennoka.
The soldier nodded and then went to help the other elven soldiers.
Ennoka, meanwhile, had already begun his attack, leaping directly towards Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
He swung his weapon horizontally, intending to cut Dath'Remar's lieutenant in half at the waist.
But Dath'Remar, the lieutenant, raised his weapon and blocked Ennoka's sweeping attack.
"Bang!" The two weapons collided, producing a sound and sparks.
Both sides were very powerful, and the two sides thus entered a stalemate.
"Your strength is not bad, little sprite," Ennoka said, while increasing the pressure on his hand.
"I will kill you, you damned Troll," said Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
His grip loosened slightly, and the sudden decrease in strength caused Ennoka to lose his balance for a moment.
His entire body began to lean towards his lieutenant, Dath'Remar, who seized the opportunity and kicked the unsteady Ennoka away.
The kick was so powerful that it knocked Ennoka down.
Dath'Remar's lieutenant seized the opportunity and rushed forward, intending to stab him to death with his sword.
But Ennoka dodged Dath'Remar's attack with a roll.
Seeing that his first attack had missed, Lieutenant Dath'Remar continued his assault, determined to kill Ennoka completely.
Ennoka could only dodge awkwardly for the time being, as Dath'Remar's attacks were extremely fierce.
Ennoka grabbed a handful of dirt from the ground and threw it at Dath'Remar's attacking lieutenant.
Dath'Remar's lieutenant was blinded by the dirt thrown at him, which gave Ennoka an opportunity.
While Dath'Remar was rubbing his eyes, he stood up and distanced himself from Dath'Remar.
"You're really despicable," said Lieutenant Dath'Remar after rubbing his eyes.
"Despicable? As long as you can kill the enemy, it's not despicable. Although I enjoy fighting, I'm not a fool," Ennoka said.
He felt no remorse. His long years of fighting had given him a wealth of experience, which made him fall in love with combat and understand that there is no fairness in war.
Any method that can defeat the opponent is a good method.
"You bastard, it looks like I'm going to teach you a lesson."
"Mages, begin casting spells!" At Lieutenant Dath'Remar's command, the mages within the defensive perimeter began casting spells.
The mages had been waiting for a long time, and had been recovering their energy ever since they cast the spell shield.
After Lieutenant Dath'Remar gave the order, the mages unleashed their most powerful spells.
Various magical energies exploded within the ranks of the Forest Troll soldiers.
"You're right, whether it's despicable or not doesn't matter, as long as it works."
"The second round has now begun," said Lieutenant Dath'Remar.
"What the hell are they doing?" Ennoka cursed, then charged at Dath'Remar's lieutenant.
The two clashed again, this time both fighting fiercely; the previous probing was over.
Now, both of you just want to kill each other as quickly as possible.
"These elves are truly tenacious." Zakas cleaved the head of the elven Warrior in front of him with an axe.
"Attack with full force! Break through their lines!" Zakas commanded.
Upon hearing the command, countless Forest Troll swarmed forward, launching a full-scale attack on the elves' defenses.
"Archers, fire!" Krongsai commanded from the rear.
Under the cover of a hail of arrows, the Forest Troll launched their attack, and at first their advance went very smoothly.
But the Troll's attack was blocked when the Highborne mages and archers began to retaliate.
"Damn it, this way we have no way to kill them."
"If the mages don't solve the problem, relying solely on different Warrior won't succeed," Zakas said.
The Forest Troll ranged units have gained an important ally in the local Krongsai.
"It's your turn to appear."
"Krongsai said to the Amani priest beside him."
This Amani priest was none other than the high priest of Loa Nalorakk the Wild Bear Loa.
"I understand. Lord Nalorakk has already told me what to do."
"I will crush these elves with the divine power bestowed upon me by Lord Nalorakk."
As soon as he finished speaking, he activated the Loa sealed within his own body.
Nalorakk's divine power is changing his body, and bear-like features are appearing on him.
His body had begun to grow taller, and his hands had turned into bear paws, transforming him into a powerful bear-man.
He charged straight towards the Highborne's defensive line.
