Gu Chen and Gu Beichi confronted Gu Changfeng and exposed his crimes, ending with Gu Beichi set to lead the Gu Family. After learning more about his mother’s connection to the Mystery Gate, Gu Chen headed to the Situ Clan to settle another score.

• Gu Beichi returned to the Gu Family and fought off Gu Kang, Gu Zuo, Gu Changfeng, and their allies, while Zhao Bo and Gu Chen arrived in turn to support him.
• Gu Chen killed Chen Yushan and defeated the warriors who joined Gu Changfeng, revealing his Late Revolving Illumination Realm cultivation before allies from several major powers arrived.
• Gu Chen severed Gu Changfeng’s arms and forced Gu Kang to confess that Gu Changfeng had sabotaged Gu Beichi’s breakthroughs and seized control of the family.

After Gu Huan abducted Gu Beichi and Zhao Bo into the Land of Heaven and Earth, Gu Chen pursued them and reached the Heaven and Earth Palace. There, he defeated Gu Mingheng’s Dragon Ranking claim, climbed to thirty-fifth place, and advanced his cultivation, while an unseen force stopped Gu Muyu’s attack.

• Situ Qingshi, Situ Yunqi, and Situ Xiaosen planned to exploit the Gu Family’s turmoil, but Gu Chen confronted them and ordered them to attend the succession ceremony.
• Gu Huan’s party attacked the Gu estate, abducted Gu Beichi and Zhao Bo, and left Jiang Qi and Ma Gang gravely injured, and Gu Chen pursued them toward the Land of Heaven and Earth.
• Gu Chen entered the Land of Heaven and Earth, joined Chen Shumeng’s party, and learned that Gu Mingheng would challenge the Dragon Ranking at the Heaven and Earth Palace.

After learning more about Dragon Spine Mountain from Nan Wuhen, he entered the range and reached its foot while searching for what was drawing him there.

• Gu Chen defeated Gu Mingheng with one strike and forced Gu Muyu to surrender after overwhelming her with the Sword Control Technique.
• Gu Chen confronted the Cao Family and Gu Muyu, then gave Elder Liu twelve Yellow Rock Pills as compensation before leaving the Heaven and Earth Palace.
• Gu Chen broke through to the Peak Revolving Illumination Realm and killed pursuers from the Shangguan Family, while Zhuge Wangyue tracked him toward the Heaven and Earth Forest.
