The battle ended, but all seven Five-Star Fiend had already escaped.
"These guys have absolutely no professional ethics," Jason joked awkwardly.
Before him, Delisha and Belisa, who maintained a male appearance, stared intently at him.
Delisha was quite casual with Jason and asked bluntly, "Aren't you going to be honest?"
Jason lowered his head, thought for a moment, and then felt there was nothing to hide. "Okay, I admit it. I was chosen by the Sovereign in the Necropolis of the Gods, and I am now the Sovereign's Emissary. As for what aspect of me he saw in me, that's a secret, and I can't say."
That Sovereign deity is the one Lord Beirut serves, which is why he gave me some preferential treatment. These are the only parts I've concealed; Lord Beirut's token and his suggestion that I move my family to the Indigo Prefecture are both true."
Bessalie looked at Jason and asked, "You're saying all this without even letting me have a moment's peace?"
"There's no point in hiding it. Even if you kill and steal the treasure, the Sovereign Artifact I possess will eventually be taken back by the Sovereign, and you might even offend the Sovereign because of it. I don't think you're that stupid."
Bessalie nodded in agreement. Although her father was not Sovereign's Emissary, he had heard some things about it.
Delisha clapped her hands. "Alright, now that the Fiend have fled, although the Undead Realm isn't too dangerous, we still need to be vigilant and watch out for ambushes."
The number of Metallic Airship was reduced to four. Jason and his two companions each took charge of one airship, while the other airship was protected by several Highgod from the Rhine Clan who Refine Divine Spark.
Jason left Fate Clone guard, while the rest entered a state of cultivation. The battle he had just fought was the strongest enemy he had ever defeated in his life, and he hoped to glean some inspiration from it.
With nothing to do, and having already refined the Soul Pearl and Netherworld River Water he had recently purchased, Fate Clone Destiny Avatar decided to nurture the Divine Artifact in his hand.
As Jason manipulated his divine Divine Spark to continuously draw upon the Fate Divine Power from his sea of consciousness, he suddenly sensed something was amiss.
"There seem to be more faiths now," Jason muttered, then focused his senses again. "There really are more, and they're not from the Yulan Plane?"
Faintly, Jason sensed the prayers of believers emanating from the points of light that represented faith.
These prayers are the manifestation of believers' wishes and can be transmitted to the minds of Deity-level through the Power of Faith. However, they are generally extremely weak and are difficult to transmit to the soul of Deity-level unless a large number of believers pray for the same thing at the same time or the Deity-level deliberately focuses on a certain thing.
"Beacon of Fate? Is that my name? Did I ever establish such a church?" Jason examined the prayers again. "Page of Fate? The Divine Artifact I sent down? Hiss—"
Jason remembered what it was: the Holy Bible from the Radiant Church, Highgod Artifact the attribute of fate. When he fought Sadista on the Yulan Continent, the entire book was burned to ashes, but the page that could store Divine Power and activate a protective shield was caught in the Spatial Turbulence during the battle because it had detached from the book.
Jason later realized that the page hadn't been destroyed by the Spatial Turbulence; it was probably just lucky that it had passed through a spatial rift and entered a certain plane just before it was destroyed.
That page contains the essence of the entire Holy Bible, and the blood and essence that Jason poured into it when he confessed to the Lord were also in that page. Therefore, he is still in a state of confession to the Lord and retains a certain degree of Divine Artifact spirituality.
However, it was just a damaged Highgod Artifact, and Jason had no intention of retrieving it. The drop of essence blood was not particularly valuable.
Unexpectedly, it seems to have been picked up by some tribe and unexpectedly became a sacred object, giving Jason a significant place in their faith.
Jason got up to find Delisha; establishing faith across dimensions was something Demon were good at.
I briefly explained the situation.
Delisha said that this kind of thing is common, "Unexpectedly establishing a faith in another dimension? It's not a rare event. Your process is quite similar to the methods that the Demon of the Abyss use to bewitch beings in the Material Plane."
As I mentioned before, there are countless planes in the world. The four Higher Planes and the Seven Divine Planes are relatively close to each other, while the Material Plane are clustered together. The Abyss is also a Material Plane, but it is quite special.
Demon who wish to establish faith in other Material Plane typically send Divine Artifact into Spatial Turbulence. The hardness and material of these Divine Artifact allow them to persist in Spatial Turbulence for a period of time. If they are lucky, they may accidentally enter a certain plane; then, if found by a creature of that Material Plane, it becomes easy to bewitch them into establishing faith.
Jason asked, "What are the chances of this method succeeding?"
"It's very low, one in ten thousand. However, there are many Abyss Demon, and the Divine Artifact they deploy don't need to be particularly valuable, so their total number of successful attempts is still enormous."
Delisha saw Jason's conflicted expression. "Want to try being an alternate-dimensional evil god?"
"Uh, how do I do it?"
"No, I remember that page contained an illustration from the Radiant Church's Holy Bible, ' The Radiant Sovereign descends with a bright lamp to guide believers forward.' Perhaps those beings from the Material Plane misunderstood it and gave me the title ' Beacon of Fate.'"
"Then there's nothing you can do. Unless those extradimensional natives can draw some kind of interdimensional communication array themselves, you can only use that page to create a miracle or something. Without divine intervention for a long time, your faith will probably disappear soon." Delisha waved her hand, indicating that she couldn't help.
Jason didn't pay any attention to this and put the matter out of his mind.
Because there were many people, the Metallic Airship flew very slowly, but fortunately there were no enemies.
There is less than a year left until the Undead Sacred Mountain.
Jason suddenly felt a summoned power and searched for its source.
"Holy crap! These alien natives actually have a divine descent formation?" Jason realized that this power actually originated from that page of the book from before!
Based on the principle that it's free to try, Jason immediately set up a simple magic circle on the Metallic Airship using magic crystals.
This magic circle isn't difficult; I've seen it before at the Radiant Church on the Yulan Continent. The main difficulty lies in the summoning side, because that side needs a large amount of faith to support it.
A wisp of soul drifted away, surrounded by countless points of light Power of Faith, and flew in the direction of the summons.
After a dizzying spin, Jason regained consciousness and the first thing he saw was a figure emanating a dark aura suspended in mid-air before him.
"Wow! An eight-winged fallen angel, I've certainly seen something new today!"
Standing high in the sky, far from Jason, was a fallen angel with four pairs of black wings on his back, surrounded by a black Deity-level domain, and whose eyes emitted a blood-red light.
"Why does it have a pair of dragon horns? And those scales on its body—" Jason observed carefully and felt that there seemed to be something wrong with this angel.
At this moment, an old but somewhat shrill voice interrupted Jason's thoughts.
"My lord, this fallen angel has slaughtered my people and ravaged the continent. I beg you, my lord, to take action and eliminate this heretic."
Jason looked over and saw an old woman with a weathered face. Judging from her aura, she was at the Early-stage Saint-level. He didn't know if she was always like that or if she had been drained of her energy when she summoned Jason's projection.
"Heretic, die!" The fallen angel gave Jason no chance to communicate and charged straight at him.
The icy blue Crystal Space opened up, and the hand covered with dragon scales on the back of the hand collided with the outer wall of the space. All the power was absorbed by the Crystal Space, and even the opponent's domain was isolated from it.
"The energy is a bit low, but thankfully it's water-based."
Jason sensed the energy level of the projection and realized it was only at the Early-stage Saint-level. He hadn't dared to trap the projection directly into the space earlier because he wasn't sure how much power the Projected Clone could unleash.
"I remember Delisha saying that Projected Clone can autonomously gather external energy, and the upper limit depends on the soul that is projected into them." Jason was also using Projected Clone for the first time, trying it out according to Delisha's previous description.
As expected, the surrounding energy was drawn together by Jason's soul, similar to the absorption of external elements during his time in the Saint-level, but with some differences, because the Projected Clone had no meridians, and the elements accumulated directly within his body.
Seeing that Jason seemed to be able to become even stronger, the eight-winged fallen angel conjured a black longsword in its hand and thrust it fiercely towards Jason.
This time, the longsword pierced into the Crystal Space without any obstruction, and at the same time, the fallen angel's entire body was absorbed into the Crystal Space. By the time the fallen angel realized something was wrong, he was already completely trapped inside.
Elemental Darkness enveloped the surroundings, and the fallen angel used his domain to carve out a small area within the Crystal Space.
"He only grasped the profound mysteries of a single Elemental Darkness Profound Mysteries. It seems the Darkness Element Sovereign doesn't care much about the Lowgod- level angels; he doesn't even teach them a single ultimate technique."
Jason controlled the Crystal Space, transforming it into an ice crystal form, which then rapidly contracted. Ignoring the influence of Divine Spark and Divine Power, the Water Element's deduction progress is currently the fastest among all of Jason's laws.
The Darkness Element Fallen Angel's defenses were extremely poor; Jason could tell that the opponent didn't even possess any divine Divine Artifact. Judging from his appearance, Jason suspected that this guy had arrived in this plane through descent, but he didn't know where they got such powerful bodies to use as vessels.
"You're a pitiful person too. Perhaps death is a good thing for you." Jason thought of the angel's transformation process in the original story and used the Crystal Space to completely shatter the other party.
Without begging for mercy or wailing in its final moments, the fallen angel resisted to the very end, like a pre-programmed machine. As its outer body shattered, a naked fallen angel was revealed.
"So it was a woman. She really did descend from heaven." Jason remarked, but showed no mercy whatsoever.
Until the opponent's body was completely shattered, a dark attribute divine Divine Spark floated into Jason's hand.
He turned to look at the group of people who had summoned him from behind.
