Background / History

The Abyss and the Yulan Continent

Delisha grew up in the Abyss and became an exceptional cultivator of Death and Destruction. Before the Rhine Clan’s arrival on the Yulan Continent, she and Landon were already deities. She could match Rhein, the clan leader at the time, after the destruction of his Highgod Clone 74 75.

During the great war on the Yulan Continent, Rhein and the Highgod who had enslaved the clan through Soul Seeds both died. Delisha lost her Death Clone but recovered its Divine Spark. She also killed a divine beast whose corpse remained in Bloodshadow Valley and obtained another powerful Highgod’s corpse, Divine Spark, and belongings 74 75 88.

Rather than immediately refining the recovered sparks, she first achieved Lightning godhood independently. She then refined the Lightning High Godhead and restored her Death cultivation using her own recovered spark. The Rhine Clan remained on the continent while she cultivated in seclusion 75.

Leading the Clan to the Netherworld

When war threatened the Rhine Empire, Delisha announced that she would take the Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiends and selected Rhine Clan members to the Netherworld in a hundred years. She insisted that Jason accompany them because the clan needed talented descendants to support its future 68.

Jason questioned whether she could protect such a conspicuous group. Although Delisha defended her strength, she accepted that his concerns had merit and assigned Landon to distribute ten Lowgod Sparks among suitable clan members. Before departure, she also allowed Jason to leave a Divine Clone on the Yulan Continent and supplied it with resources to protect those remaining behind 74 81.

Survival and Settlement in the Netherworld

The clan’s Blood Blades attracted Highgods who wanted to exploit the Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiends as a source of artifact materials. Delisha resisted, but sustained harassment threatened to exhaust the clan. Fifty-three years after their arrival, she and Jason used an apparent betrayal to lure their enemy into a countertrap. She destroyed two of the Highgod’s Divine Clones and led fewer than a hundred survivors underground 85 86.

After a month of underground travel, Delisha selected a remote basin as their refuge. She cleared nearby bandit groups, and the clan eventually grew to more than a thousand members. When the Thunderwolf Bandit Group demanded protection money and threatened to take her, she killed its leaders with Anya and Kasabu’s assistance 86 88 91.

The clan later moved into an underground cavern system. Delisha named its river the Earth Rainbow River and the occupied cavern section Blue Crystal Cave, while postponing contact with Falling Rain City until the clan was better prepared 96 97.

Falling Rain City and Regional Conflicts

After Jason developed a way to activate the Thunderwing Angel bloodline, Delisha adopted the method herself. She subsequently rescued Jason and Landon from a Highgod who had taken control of Jason, although Kasabu died during the expedition 98 105 106.

Her Destruction Clone’s Highgod breakthrough allowed her to take a more active military role. She led clan Midgods against nearby bandits, helped establish regular journeys to Falling Rain City, and participated in Fiend examinations and promotion missions 110 112 113 126.

Through Lloyd and Johanna, the Rhine Clan became involved in the Violet Light Pearl Mussel trade and wider political struggles. Delisha killed Kelier after Lloyd helped draw him out, then organized a response to the Bagdi Tribe’s attacks. When Anya and Mozhiyou were trapped underground, she personally led the rescue party 120 121 123.

A later caravan commission took her and Jason to Skyfall City, where political conflict left them stranded under siege. They used the depressed market to purchase materials for eventual resale while continuing their cultivation 132 135 138.

Migration to the Infernal Realm

With Lloyd’s position in Falling Rain City threatened, Delisha and Jason sought to relocate the clan. Lloyd annulled their existing contract in an exchange involving the method for refining supreme-grade Deathgod Golems. Before departure, they attacked the Green Tree Tribe; Delisha killed one attacker but returned to defend the clan after an assassin escaped 201 203.

During the long journey toward the Blood Peak Continent, she guarded one of the clan’s three Metallic Airships. She agreed to pause the migration while Jason searched for his wife and daughter, then resumed the journey after his return 209 211.

Delisha and Jason chose Indigo Prefecture under Beirut’s protection rather than pursuing a prefect’s position. On arrival, she established a temporary lakeside settlement and retained the clan’s existing administrative system while Jason investigated permanent settlement options. She later helped plan the removal of nearby hostile forces around Moonwheel City 211 215 219.

Relationship with Jason

Delisha’s bond with Jason developed from clan leadership and mentorship into personal trust and affection. Freya openly teased her about her feelings during the migration, while Delisha initially denied them and emphasized that Jason already had a wife and daughter 117 209.

After later events surrounding the Spirit Orb contest, Jason and Delisha traveled to Moonwheel City to address their relationship with Veronica. Veronica agreed to it but asked that they continue interacting as before while she adjusted 240 242.

Appearance

  • Build and apparent age: Petite, with the appearance of a young girl despite her long cultivation history 68 72.
  • Hair: White 68.
  • Weapon silhouette: Often fights with an oversized saber longer than her body 111 203.

Personality

Delisha is authoritative and often aloof. Her first response to Jason’s reluctance to migrate is an order, and other clan members regard her as stern, rarely smiling, and prone to the violent temper associated with her bloodline. With Jason, however, she becomes noticeably more playful and approachable 68 112.

Her upbringing in the Abyss gives her a harsh view of death and survival. She regards many casualties as ordinary consequences of life in the Higher Planes and will not automatically expose her secrets or risk herself for every clan member. Landon and Jason are exceptions because of their personal importance to her and the debts she feels she owes them 105 111.

This pragmatism coexists with genuine responsibility. She repeatedly stays to protect the clan when she could escape alone, regrets Angela’s death, and pays the shortfall for supplies distributed during the clan’s defense. She also supports Jason’s development despite recognizing that his talent surpasses her own 81 86 120.

Delisha is cautious about enemies she cannot finish and can accept humiliation when the clan’s safety requires it. Romance is a different weakness: Freya’s teasing leaves her flustered, and she is visibly nervous when facing Veronica about Jason 203 209 213 242.

Abilities & Skills

Edicts of Destruction

Delisha’s independently cultivated Destruction Clone is the main source of her Six-Star Fiend combat strength 110 120.

  • Delivers heavy saber strikes powerful enough to distort the space around her blade 111.
  • Can display standard Six-Star Fiend strength without Thunderwing Angel transformation once her breakthrough stabilizes 123.
  • Combines direct force with close-range charges, cutting through stone barriers and destroying an opponent’s body 122.

Lightning Element

Her Lightning Clone became a Highgod through refining a divine spark and specializes in speed and physical attacks 75 138.

  • Inherited a complete fusion of Lightning Strike and Lightning Flash from the refined spark 138.
  • Excels at straight-line speed; Jason proves slightly better at close-range maneuvering during their sparring 138.
  • Can also perform soul attacks, assessed during training at an average Four-Star Fiend level 138.
  • Has limited cultivation prospects after refining the spark; Delisha describes absorbing Soul Gold Beads as its remaining avenue for improvement 88.

Edicts of Death and Divine Clones

Delisha restored her Death cultivation by refining the Mid Godhead recovered from her own destroyed clone 75 110.

  • Unlike a clone using a foreign spark, her restored Death Clone can continue cultivating normally 138.
  • Her Lightning and Death Clones together are assessed as sufficient for Five-Star Fiend-level missions 126.
  • The Death Clone remains a Midgod during the journey to Indigo Prefecture; its potential Highgod breakthrough is expected to substantially improve her strength 211.

Thunderwing Angel Bloodline

Delisha supplied Jason with blood and research from the divine beast whose Lightning High Godhead she had refined. Jason’s successful activation method enabled her to pursue the same bloodline 88 98.

  • Adds innate gifts to her existing three-clone combat strength 120.
  • Is treated as a clan secret; she warns members not to reveal the technique behind Jason’s angel form 120.
  • Builds on roughly two hundred years of her own bloodline research, which had previously made little progress 88.

Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiend Traits

  • Blood Blade cultivation: Can nourish Blood Blades, valuable raw materials for Divine Artifacts 72 85.
  • Inherited cultivation knowledge: Awakens basic Deity-level knowledge through her bloodline, including the restrictions governing divine-spark refinement 79.

Clan Leadership

  • Organizes migrations, settlements, military expeditions, and appointments 86 110 120 215.
  • Establishes a century-based travel service to Falling Rain City, guarded by her Lightning Clone and Anya 112.
  • Recruits outside specialists when the clan lacks necessary abilities, particularly Earth Travel Technique users for underground warfare 120 121.
  • Pursues stronger Fiend credentials partly because a clan leader’s badge affects privileges and public standing 126.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Oversized saber — Described as black during her battle with the fire-attribute bandit leader and blood-colored during the Green Tree Tribe battle 111 203.
  • Soul Defense Divine Artifact — Confirmed by Delisha as the result of a fortunate encounter in which she narrowly escaped death. It helps explain her resistance to powerful soul attacks 86 208.
  • Sovereign’s Might — Possesses a supply but is reluctant to expend a drop on an ordinary clash with Six-Star Fiends 203 208.
  • Soul Gold Beads — Has absorbed many to strengthen her soul and compensate for weaknesses associated with refining a foreign Divine Spark 88 91.
  • Interspatial Rings — Uses bound rings to track companions’ locations and survival; Kasabu’s ring becoming ownerless alerts her to his death 105.
  • Treasures entrusted to Jason — Before leaving the Yulan Continent, gives him hundreds of Lowgod and Midgod Artifacts, materials, a Death Lowgod Spark, Blue Jade Fruit Tree seedlings, and a Blood-colored Deathgod Golem comparable to a weak Highgod 81.
  • Floating Shadows — Possesses recordings of battles between top experts, copies of which she gives Jason for study 81.

Relationships

  • Jason — Talented descendant, clan elder, trusted confidant, research partner, and eventual romantic partner. She supports his cultivation and permits him to address her by name in private 81 117 120 242.
  • Landon — Older companion who has looked after her since their time in the Abyss. His advice and long service make him personally important to her 86 105.
  • Lloyd — Falling Rain City’s lord and her lover. Their association also supports the Rhine Clan’s political and commercial ties 113 120 201.
  • Johanna — Initially identified as an enemy despite being Lloyd’s daughter. Delisha later saves her from an ambush, and Johanna subsequently commissions her as a caravan escort 113 115 132.
  • Bili — Sapphire Dragon Delisha saved on the Yulan Continent. Delisha later obtains a Water Highgod Spark from Jason for her 74 117.
  • Angela — Clan elder whose death troubles Delisha; Landon is appointed as her replacement 120.
  • Freya — Friend and eventual external elder who teases Delisha about Jason and encourages their relationship 209 212 242.
  • Bessalie — Fellow Six-Star Fiend and ally during the migration; the two get along well and discuss their defensive artifacts and backgrounds 208 209.
  • Veronica — Jason’s wife, whose acceptance Delisha nervously seeks when their relationship becomes explicit 242.
  • Monica — Jason’s daughter, who calls her “Aunt Delisha” and reassures her before the meeting with Veronica 242.

Notable Quotes

“Also, my name is Delisha. Stop calling me Ancestor.” 68

“Just call me Delisha when we’re in private.” 120

“Perhaps when I’m strong enough, I can try to obtain a city lord’s position and provide protection for our people.” 211

Trivia

  • Delisha jokingly introduces herself and Jason as “mother and son” during a Fiend mission; this is a cover story, not an established parent-child relationship 127.
  • Once regarded as the Rhine Clan’s greatest genius, she later calls herself its second-greatest, acknowledging Jason’s superior talent 81 120.
  • Her strong soul defense initially leads Jason to suspect a defensive Divine Artifact, possibly even a Sovereign Artifact. Delisha later confirms possessing a Soul Defense Divine Artifact, but its status as a Sovereign Artifact is not established 112 208.
