More than a hundred years have passed in the blink of an eye.
He felt the Laws of Heaven and Earth enveloping his entire body, and the Mid Godhead radiating the Power of Death above his head.
"Having been in the Netherworld for 150 years, I never expected that my Death Clone would break through to the Midgod first!" Jason thought to himself.
The Lightning Clone was just one step away from complete fusion of Lightning Flash and Lightning Element, but the Death Clone beat it to it. It's no wonder it's located in the Netherworld.
Mid Godhead entered his body, Jason immersed his consciousness into the Elemental Sea.
"This is the Midgod." Jason sensed the pure Divine Power around him.
"After entering the boundary of Midgod, it can only continue to sink ten meters." Jason estimated. "Hmm, it seems that the Four Edicts of becoming a god are precisely determined by the Laws of Heaven and Earth. When they initially break through, their understanding of the laws is at the same level."
The depth into the ocean of elemental power depends only on the level of comprehension of the laws, and is not affected by external factors such as one's own talent or combat awareness.
After experiencing the realm of Midgod, Jason went outside.
More than a hundred years have passed, Rhine Clan has grown to more than two hundred people, but the number of Deity-level is lukewarm at only twenty, including the six who Refine Divine Spark.
The initial group brought to the Netherworld had a higher proportion of those who broke through to the Deity-level because they already had a sufficient foundation in the laws and rich life experience. However, the progress of those born in the Netherworld in breaking through to the Deity-level was much slower.
The small basin where they are located has been transformed into a landscape of houses arranged in a staggered pattern.
Apart from a relatively small Black Yu mine, there are no other valuable minerals nearby.
Fortunately, the Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiend can forge Blood Blade, so there is no shortage of weapon materials.
The biggest advantage here is its seclusion.
After confirming that there were no powerful enemies in the vicinity, Delisha took the initiative to eliminate all the small-time bandit gangs in the area. They were all murderers and thieves, and there was no need to distinguish between good and evil.
Once she was sure it was safe, Bili confidently planted the "Blue Jade Fruit Tree" in the shady spot of the basin.
Catalyzed by the high elemental concentration in the Netherworld, the Blue Jade Fruit Tree grow extremely fast, and ten have already successfully borne fruit. Every ten years, one hundred Blue Jade Fruit ripen. This is a considerable income for a small family of only two hundred people.
Delisha was generous, distributing the Blue Jade Fruit directly to all members after each harvest, treating those without the Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiend Bloodline equally, in order to improve overall strength.
According to the analysis of the five council members, the Rhine Clan has been accumulating strength for a period of time, especially those Saint-level who have already reached the Peak Saint on the Yulan Continent, who are now at the critical point of breakthrough. In the next hundred years, the family will usher in the peak period of breaking through to the Deity-level.
"I didn't expect you to be the second person to break through to the Midgod after arriving in the Netherworld."
To Jason's surprise, he was greeted by Delisha, and there was no Delisha by herself.
"Don't bother looking. Everyone else is either busy or in seclusion. Many in the family are facing bottlenecks and are currently in seclusion." Delisha said with a smile, "Shall we take a walk together?"
"Good."
Walking on the winding gravel path, the two people in the Netherworld had a sense of "peace and tranquility".
"The clan leader doesn't seem to be in a hurry to cultivate?" Jason wasn't good at starting conversations, so he could only think of ways to talk about cultivation.
"Hehe, my Lightning Clone has no room for growth other than absorbing some Soul Gold Bead; it just wanders around aimlessly most of the time." Delisha seemed to be laughing at Jason's poor communication skills.
"How are your two clones that you left behind on the Yulan Continent?"
"Yes, I became a god a few years ago through the Edicts of Fate," Jason said.
"You're a true genius."
"I don't deserve it, I don't deserve it."
Delisha changed the subject. "I've met your wife; she's Dragonblood Warrior."
Jason, unsure of what Delisha meant by asking this, could only nod.
"The Dragonblood Warrior's bloodline might come from a naturally born divine beast, and its level is definitely not low. I'm even a little envious of its aptitude," Delisha explained, seeing Jason's puzzled expression. "I saw that you had previously studied the bloodline of a Venomous Dragon, which made me think of your wife."
Jason remembered that it was more than fifty years ago when a Saint-level Venomous Dragon accidentally wandered into this place and was killed by the Rhine Clan.
Seeing that the flesh of the Death-attribute Venomous Dragon was of extremely poor quality, the group took some materials from its body intending to discard them, but Jason took them.
Jason knew from the original Coiling Dragon novel that the bloodline of magical beasts could be attached to other creatures, and since this Yuanhuang Dragon was not weak and could secrete very strong toxins, he decided to study it on a whim.
Jason seems to have a great talent for bloodline research, perhaps due to the unique scientific perspective he gained from his previous life. After more than ten years, Jason has actually made some breakthroughs.
Jason successfully transplanted the bloodline of the Venomous Dragon into the left arm of his Death Clone.
At the time, if you only looked at his left arm, Jason was about the same as the Dragonblood Warrior, and that arm had the strength of the Peak Saint - the physical strength of a normal Saint-level magical beast when it was Lowgod was the Peak Saint.
Unfortunately, Jason later encountered organ rejection, coinciding with a breakthrough in the laws of Death Clone. He then severed his left arm, and the research on bloodlines was also put on hold.
Jason thought to himself, "I have some knowledge of this, but it's not in-depth."
"Your research talent far surpasses mine." Delisha smiled. "I'm also researching bloodlines. After my Lightning Clone refined High Godhead, I've been researching for two hundred years, but without any breakthroughs."
Jason had never heard of this before.
Delisha and Jason happened to come to a secluded spot.
Delisha stopped speaking and communicated using her spiritual senses.
"I accidentally found the corpse of a powerful Highgod, and my Lightning Element Divine Spark originated from him. But besides the Divine Spark and the Interspatial Ring, there's another treasure—that powerful being's corpse." Delisha took out a small bottle and a thick stack of notes.
"That powerful being was a divine beast, with wings, a human body, golden skin, and three eyes on its head," Delisha described. "His ability to persist until the very end of the chaotic battle must have been largely due to his divine beastly talent."
"What does the patriarch mean?" Jason took the small bottle and notebook.
"This notebook was found in that powerful figure's Interspatial Ring; it seems he was also researching the issue of his descendants' bloodline. As for the bottle, it contains the blood of that powerful figure himself." Delisha stared into Jason's eyes. "I hope you can figure out a way to bestow this bloodline upon others."
"This--"
"After this is accomplished, I will give you half of my essence blood, which will greatly enhance our strength."
Jason scanned the blood in the small bottle with his divine sense; there were only five drops of essence blood, the rest was ordinary blood.
"I will certainly do my utmost!"
I'm experiencing writer's block. The Netherworld arc is supposed to lean towards a farming/development theme, but I'm having trouble writing it. The outline I wrote earlier seems to lack some battle scenes, so these few chapters will probably be quite filler. I need some time to adjust.
