Chiffon's Strength

Bakugo Katsuki stared at Chiffon in disbelief. Chiffon's entire body had been frozen in ice, yet he could still use his Quirk—and release it through his eyes, no less. Was he even human?

"Damn it!" Bakugo Katsuki punched a huge crater into the ground, his chest heaving violently. After this training match, he realized that he was not truly strong. Whether it was Chiffon or Shoto Todoroki, both of them seemed to be stronger than him.

Shoto Todoroki's Quirk was powerful. Simply releasing it could freeze an entire building, and his ice explosion skill seemed to have an enormous range. If they had not been fighting in this kind of environment, his attack range might have been even wider.

As for Chiffon, there was even less need to mention him. He had already suffered once at the hands of a Thunder Quirk with such terrifying destructive power, and his body was still somewhat numb.

Chiffon had faced the two of them. In his clash with Shoto Todoroki, he had only fallen slightly behind, but in the truest sense, Chiffon was the real winner.

The more Bakugo Katsuki thought about it, the angrier he became. He could not understand where this guy had come from or how he could be so strong.

Standing atop the nuclear warhead, Shoto Todoroki silently watched Chiffon. Though Chiffon was currently frozen and unable to move, he had to admit that Chiffon was strong—perhaps even stronger than him.

If he used his father's Quirk, Chiffon would be nothing to worry about. But he could never use it. That was his bottom line.

So, the strength Chiffon had displayed so far was already enough to match him evenly, perhaps even surpass him by a little.

"An interesting person." Shoto Todoroki suddenly smiled and walked over to Chiffon, melting the ice trapping him.

"Thanks." Chiffon smiled faintly. Only now did he truly understand Shoto Todoroki's strength. He really was powerful.

Chiffon had enhanced his Quirk ability before. Thunder God's Arrival was already LV2 (50/200), while Shoto Todoroki's current strength was definitely at the LV2 level as well. However, Chiffon had no plans to raise Thunder God's Arrival any further for now.

Air Manipulation was his trump card. He would not foolishly loaf around every day. The League of Villains would appear before long, and he had to prepare himself. Ideally, he could deal with Shigaraki Tomura directly.

"Salvation Points +50. Saved person: Denki Kaminari."
"Salvation Points +100. Saved person: Momo Yaoyorozu."

Chiffon turned to look. Denki Kaminari and Momo Yaoyorozu were both watching him with looks of relief. Although it had ended in a draw, they knew that the one who had truly mattered in this battle was not them, but Chiffon alone.

Although Momo Yaoyorozu had made Chiffon a small heater and worked with Denki Kaminari to hold back Bakugo Katsuki, without Chiffon's strength, their group would have lost long ago. Shoto Todoroki alone was not someone they could handle right now.

What Chiffon saw in Denki Kaminari's eyes was admiration and envy. Momo Yaoyorozu's eyes also held admiration, but there was something else Chiffon found familiar—something that seemed vaguely flirtatious.

"Looks like winning over Momo-chan is just around the corner." Chiffon laughed.

That laugh set Bakugo Katsuki off. He immediately pointed at Chiffon and roared, "Are you mocking me right now, you bastard?"

Shoto Todoroki looked at Chiffon and said calmly, "I hope you'll go all out next time we fight."

"You too." Chiffon knew Shoto Todoroki had not gone all out. Otherwise, this entire building might have been shattered by ice, and the heating equipment Momo Yaoyorozu had provided would have failed as well.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Bakugo Katsuki raised his right hand and aimed the device on his arm at Chiffon. "I still haven't used my trump card. Ignoring me like this... do you want to taste its power?"

"Bakugo Katsuki, we'll have chances to fight again in the future. What's the rush?" Chiffon said calmly. He just wanted to rile Bakugo Katsuki up. Did this guy really think everyone would indulge him?

Chiffon then prepared to leave with Momo Yaoyorozu and Denki Kaminari. Bakugo Katsuki bared his teeth and roared, "What did you say?!"

The device on his hand was about to activate. Bakugo Katsuki seemed to have been blinded by rage, wanting to teach Chiffon a lesson regardless of anything else.

"Young Bakugo, stop at once!" All Might's voice rang out beside Bakugo Katsuki's ear. "The match is over. Come back quickly."

Bakugo Katsuki watched helplessly as Chiffon left. After a long while, he spat on the ground. "Tch!"

The main event, Chiffon's group against Bakugo Katsuki and Shoto Todoroki's group, had come to an end. It had ended in a draw, but everyone knew that Chiffon's group had actually won.

Although Chiffon's group had the advantage in numbers, everyone knew that most of the credit belonged to Chiffon. He deserved it.

The battles that followed were somewhat bland. Other than Fumikage Tokoyami and Midoriya Izuku's match being slightly more exciting, the rest were even a little comedic.

"Good work, everyone." All Might stood with his hands on his hips and smiled. "Other than Young Midoriya and Young Bakugo, no one suffered any serious injuries."

"But all of you gave it your all. For your first training session, everyone did very well." All Might did not especially praise Chiffon. After all, the students present all had their pride and self-respect. If Chiffon surpassed them by too much, it would put them under great pressure.

"After Teacher Aizawa, suddenly having such a serious lesson feels a little disappointing," Tsuyu-chan said.

"It is our freedom to conduct serious lessons too." All Might spread his hands and smiled. "Next, I'll go give Young Midoriya some feedback. You all should change and return to the classroom."

Then he sprinted off and vanished from sight. Only Chiffon knew that All Might's time was up. If he did not leave now, his secret would be exposed.

After returning to class, Chiffon sat silently at his desk, thinking about how he should use these 1,000 Salvation Points.

Thanks to the points provided by Himiko Toga, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Denki Kaminari, Chiffon's points had now reached the 1,000 mark. He had also understood something: salvation did not require completely reforming or utterly defeating someone. As long as someone could rely on him, or developed admiration or faith in him, he could gain Salvation Points.

That made things much easier. He no longer had to seek out thugs and rioters every time. He could earn Salvation Points among his classmates as well.

With 1,000 Salvation Points in hand, Chiffon was instead not very interested in getting weapons or a combat suit.

He felt that the school-made combat suit was already quite good. It could increase both the number of times and the range at which he could use Lightning. Skill Mimicry like Lightning Release: Chidori Sharp Spear could originally only reach one meter, but with the combat suit made by the school, it could reach 1.5 meters.

So Chiffon decided to improve his personal abilities first. The system shop had Quirk Enhancement Pills clearly priced at 500 Salvation Points each. As long as a Quirk was below LV5, one pill could raise it by one level.
