The battle had already reached a fever pitch. The Hero Class A students inside the facility were nearly exhausted. The League of Villains had a large number of enemies; while their overall strength was not particularly high, they had the advantage in numbers.
Hero Class A was at a disadvantage in numbers, but they were stronger when it came to teamwork and practical Quirk combat.
At this stage, most of the League of Villains' enemies had been taken down. It seemed the League of Villains was about to be defeated.
Yet the facility's central area was the crucial battlefield.
At that moment, before the gate leading outside—
"A Black Hole capable of sucking in and crushing everything... I see. What an astounding Quirk." Kurogiri's body was continuously sucked in and pulverized by Thirteen's Black Hole, but it did not seem to affect his true body. "But Thirteen, you are a hero active in disaster relief. As expected, compared to ordinary heroes, you are still somewhat lacking in combat experience!"
At that moment, Kurogiri opened a warp portal behind Thirteen. The suction force of Thirteen's Black Hole was instantly redirected onto herself. She had no time to react before her back was torn open, revealing nothing but pitch-black darkness inside her spacesuit. Her true body could not be seen.
"I-I got hit." Thirteen stopped the suction of her Black Hole and slowly collapsed.
Mina Ashido cried out anxiously, "Teacher!"
No one had expected such a sudden turn of events. Teacher Thirteen had been suppressing the enemy, only to be ambushed in return.
"Iida, run!" Rikido Sato looked anxiously at Tenya Iida. "Go!"
Tenya Iida seemed to be struggling fiercely within himself. A few seconds later, his gaze suddenly hardened. His engines accelerated as he charged toward the gate. "Damn it!"
"The children have already been scattered. The only person we need to wait for now is All Might. If you call in the other teachers, that would be very troublesome for us." Kurogiri suddenly appeared in front of Tenya Iida and opened a warp portal, intending to swallow him away.
"Everyone... has entrusted this to me." Tenya Iida kept telling himself this. He was carrying the lives of the entire class on his shoulders. Everyone was depending on him. He could not fail!
At a time like this, what would Chiffon do? What would Izuku do?
Shoji Mezo suddenly rushed over, spreading all six of his hands to envelop Kurogiri and stop him from going after Tenya Iida. "Go!"
"Everyone, wait for me to come back!" Tenya Iida sped up, smoke spraying from his feet as he rushed toward the gate. He was almost there.
Kurogiri was somewhat angered. "Always resorting to petty tricks. I will never let you get out." Kurogiri's head swept toward Tenya Iida. Whether it was his hands, feet, or head, he could use them to activate his warp ability.
"An automatic door." Tenya Iida analyzed the gate as he ran. Do I have to kick it through? Can I really kick through something that thick!?
Just as Tenya Iida was thinking, Kurogiri had already reached his back. "You are far too arrogant, Four-Eyes. Disappear!" Black mist instantly surrounded Tenya Iida, obscuring everything within it.
"What?" Kurogiri suddenly jolted. He found himself moving away from Four-Eyes and flying backward. His body had become incomparably light, and for a moment, it was beyond his control.
"I don't know how it works, but since you're wearing that, it means you still have a physical body, right?" Ochaco Uraraka played a crucial role at the critical moment, tossing Kurogiri into the sky as she shouted, "Go, Iida!"
Tenya Iida nodded gratefully at Ochaco Uraraka. Reaching the gate, he shoved both hands into the gap and forcibly pried it open.
Though Kurogiri had been flung away by Ochaco Uraraka, he was still one of the League of Villains' founding members. How could he be defeated by a student's move? He charged at Tenya Iida again.
"Don't even think about it!" Hanta Sero bent his elbow, firing tape from his arm that stuck to Kurogiri's silver armor. Rikido Sato seized the opportunity, grabbed the tape, and yanked it hard backward. Instead of advancing, Kurogiri was flung straight into the air.
Tenya Iida finally forced open the gate and rushed outside. He was carrying the lives of everyone in Hero Class A on his back. He had to give it everything he had.
"Engine, boost!"
The engines in his calves suddenly burst with red light. Amid a plume of white smoke, Tenya Iida shot forward at high speed and quickly vanished beyond the facility's outer perimeter.
"Reinforcements are coming." Kurogiri inside the facility was somewhat angry, but in order to maintain his gentlemanly demeanor, he did not brutally slaughter the students. "The game is over."
Chiffon had already passed out. It was caused by excessive physical exhaustion.
Yet he remained conscious within his system. At that moment, he stood in an incomparably vast room. Directly in front of him, a huge roulette wheel hung in the sky. This was probably the prize wheel he normally used for draws.
On the left was a home-like setup, with a sofa, coffee table, and refrigerator. It looked like a rest area. Chiffon walked over to the refrigerator and found that it was full of drinks.
Taking out a can of Blue Bull, Chiffon leaned back against the sofa. He naturally knew that his physical body had passed out, or else he could not have appeared in such a strange place. Although he knew it was his system, this was the first time something like this had happened, so he could not help feeling a little nervous.
System: MMP, you're grabbing a drink and lounging on the sofa. You're nervous?
Of course, the system would not actually speak to Chiffon like that. There was not a sound in this enormous space. It was utterly quiet.
Suddenly, a colorful screen appeared directly in front of Chiffon. On it, he could see what was happening inside the USJ facility, as well as his classmates.
Watching everyone fight their hardest, Chiffon felt deeply moved. One person's strength was ultimately insignificant; the strength of many was truly powerful. He remembered that Bakugo Katsuki had actually saved him in the end. That was rather unexpected.
Didn't Bakugo Katsuki usually hate him, Chiffon? Yet at the critical moment, he had not been careless in the slightest. He knew what mattered most.
That was what a hero should do—not be petty and narrow-minded. Chiffon had not been wrong about him. Although Bakugo Katsuki had a terrible, explosive temper, he was fundamentally an upright person and someone worth relying on.
"System, check my Salvation Points."
System: "Salvation Points: 350."
Chiffon froze. Without realizing it, his Salvation Points had already reached 350. After checking the records, he discovered that most of those Salvation Points had come from his classmates, while 50 had come from Shota Aizawa.
Chiffon had saved Shota Aizawa from Nomu's attack. That was probably why.
Chiffon thought that since he had Salvation Points and was now inside the system space, perhaps he could draw directly?
"System, draw." Chiffon called out tentatively.
To his surprise, the prize wheel really began spinning. Chiffon jumped to his feet in delight. There was hope!
As long as he drew something that could restore his body, he could fight again. Tenya Iida was currently running back to the school, but he was not fast enough. Teacher Aizawa, Shoto Todoroki, and the others could not defeat Nomu on their own unless All Might arrived.
When the pointer stopped, Chiffon was still somewhat happy. It was actually a Quirk Enhancement Pill. But in the next instant, he was no longer happy. What use was this now? He was unconscious—he could not use it!
