Only when Lu Xunxiang heard the question about the Sturgeon Group did his expression ease slightly.

Even so, he still looked rather serious.

He picked up the teapot again, poured himself a cup of tea, and took a slow sip before speaking.

"I don't know much about the Sturgeon Group either."

"Please tell me what you know, Master," Su Han said respectfully.

Lu Xunxiang set down his teacup, thought for a moment, and began.

"I've only heard that it's a very large group with a powerful background. It's involved in all sorts of industries: finance, medicine, technology."

"And they have their own private armed forces."

"Private armed forces?" Su Han asked.

"That's right." Lu Xunxiang nodded.

"They have plenty of cyborgs and enhanced humans. I've heard secret martial artists work for them too."

"Their power is terrifying. They also put out all kinds of jobs, like escorts, bodyguard work, and cleanup. The pay is very high."

"People from every secret martial arts sect take jobs from them."

"Their influence reaches far and wide. Sometimes even the authorities have to show them some respect."

"Do they have a branch in Jinghai?" Su Han pressed.

"They do." Lu Xunxiang nodded. "It's downtown. The tallest building is..."

Lu Xunxiang suddenly broke off and looked at Su Han, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"Why are you asking?"

Su Han quickly came up with an excuse.

"I'm just curious. A major power like that-I might come into contact with them someday."

"True." Lu Xunxiang nodded lightly, but still warned him.

"Don't think too far ahead, and don't get involved with those powers too early."

He took a sip of tea and added another reminder.

"Su Han, the most important thing for you now is to focus on cultivation. Don't think about all this nonsense. Break through to Hua Jin as soon as you can."

"There's a martial arts tournament in October. Every secret martial arts sect and martial arts school will take part."

"I'll take you there, and we'll make a name for ourselves."

The more Lu Xunxiang spoke, the more he looked forward to it.

After all, it was his first time encountering a monstrous genius like Su Han.

With talent like that, how many old fellows would have their jaws drop when he showed up at the tournament?

Just thinking about it was a little exciting.

But Su Han didn't say that he had already reached Hua Jin. He only nodded and replied.

"I understand, Master."

Lu Yu spoke up from the side. "Junior Brother, how is your cultivation going? Have you gotten anywhere with Hua Jin?"

"A little," Su Han said vaguely.

"Take it slowly. Don't rush." Lu Yu patted him on the shoulder. "You're talented. You'll make it sooner or later."

"Mm-hmm."

"If there's anything you don't understand, come ask me anytime. I am your senior sister, after all." Lu Yu giggled.

After chatting a little longer, Su Han had asked everything he could.

He had also gathered quite a bit of information. After adding both of them on Fetion, he got up and took his leave.

Lu Xunxiang and Lu Yu saw him to the door and watched him go downstairs.

Only after Su Han had slowly walked away did Lu Yu frown and quietly ask her father beside her.

"Dad, Junior Brother seemed a little off today."

Lu Xunxiang frowned as well, a trace of worry flashing through his heart.

"The things he asked about were no ordinary matters."

"Could he have gotten into trouble?"

"Maybe." Lu Xunxiang sighed.

"But the boy won't tell us, so there's nothing we can do."

The two returned to the office. Lu Xunxiang went back to drinking his tea, while Lu Yu went back to playing on her phone.

Not long after they sat down.

Knock, knock, knock.

Unexpectedly, there was another knock at the door.

"Come in." Lu Xunxiang thought Su Han had come back.

But when the door opened, it wasn't Su Han who entered.

A man and a woman.

Two strangers.

Both looked to be in their twenties.

The woman had short, layered hair and a cool appearance. She was quite pretty.

The man had delicate features and a straight figure, and followed half a step behind.

Both wore black uniforms with badges on their chests.

The design showed a sword piercing a gear, a distinctive image.

It represented the Earth Condemnation Bureau.

Lu Xunxiang's heart sank, and he hurriedly stood to greet them.

"And you two are...?"

"Earth Condemnation Bureau, Human-Level Group, Bai Xue." Bai Xue's voice was icy as she presented her credentials.

Then she pointed to the teammate beside her.

"This is Zhou Ming."

"We're here to investigate the case involving Su Han."

Su Han?

The moment the name came out.

Lu Xunxiang and Lu Yu's expressions changed.

Lu Xunxiang forced a smile and asked in puzzlement.

"Su Han? He's my disciple. What happened to him?"

"He's suspected of multiple murders."

Bai Xue pulled a document from her bag and threw it onto the table with a smack.

"He killed his parents, maimed his elder sister, murdered his neighbors, and killed more than forty patrol officers... This man's crimes are monstrous and unforgivable. I've come to arrest him and bring him to justice."

"School Master Lu, please cooperate with the investigation."

"How is that possible? How could Su Han do those things?" Lu Yu's expression darkened.

"We'll investigate whether he did it." Bai Xue didn't even look at her, keeping her eyes on Lu Xunxiang.

"Where is he now?"

But Lu Xunxiang only shook his head.

"I don't know. He was here just now, but he left."

"You really don't know?" Bai Xue stared at him, scrutiny in her eyes.

"I really don't," Lu Xunxiang answered again.

Bai Xue pulled a photograph from the document and slapped it onto the table.

It was a screenshot from surveillance footage of Su Han killing people at the Jiayuan Residential Complex.

Though blurry, it was recognizable as Su Han.

Several patrol officers lay on the ground around him, blood pooling across the floor.

"This is surveillance footage from this morning." Bai Xue's voice grew colder.

"School Master Lu, your disciple killed more than forty people. If you shield him, you'll be just as guilty."

Lu Xunxiang looked at the photograph, and his expression finally changed.

His hand trembled slightly as he picked up the photograph and examined it closely.

Though blurry, it really was Su Han.

He recognized the clothes and the profile.

Had that boy Su Han really killed so many people?

"Unfortunately, I really don't know where he is," Lu Xunxiang said with a bitter smile.

"He came by today, asked a few questions, and left. He didn't tell us where he was going."

Bai Xue stared at him for a while longer, but could find no sign of anything amiss.

Only then did she finally put away the photograph and document.

"If you hear anything about him, notify the Earth Condemnation Bureau immediately." She handed him a business card, a warning in her tone.

"Otherwise, you'll bear the consequences."

With that, she and Zhou Ming turned and left.

Once the office door had closed.

The room fell silent again.

Lu Yu and Lu Xunxiang stood where they were, neither speaking for a long time.

At last, Lu Yu broke the silence.

"Dad, I don't think Su Han could be that kind of person. There must be some misunderstanding."

Lu Xunxiang said nothing, but nodded in agreement.

He thought again of the trouble Su Han had mentioned when he first became his disciple.

He hadn't paid it any mind at the time, thinking a young man had gotten into a little trouble at most and there was no need to worry.

But now, it seemed that even the Earth Condemnation Bureau had been alerted.

This was no small matter.
