Background and History

Family Massacre and False Accusation

Su Han originally lived with his family in Jiayuan Residential Complex while attending Jinghai University. His parents operated a noodle shop, and his older sister, Su Yuyun, worked as a kindergarten teacher. His previous martial arts training had amounted to a short, abandoned course at the Celestial Phenomena Martial Arts School 3 5 11 13.

After discovering the family shop wrecked, he learned that his parents had been dismembered and every bone in his sister’s body broken. The Security Patrol Office accused him of the attack, presenting purported witnesses, surveillance footage, and physical evidence. During his torture, he realized that the officers knew he was innocent and were forcing him to become the real killer’s scapegoat 1.

He accepted the lifespan bargain that activated Divine Body, then refused to sign a fabricated confession. After killing Yu Qiang and Zhang Ping, he used the empty basement to perfect his basic techniques before confronting patrol chief Zhang Qu 1 3 4 6.

Investigating the Cover-Up

Su Han tortured Zhang Qu for information, but the chief refused to identify the people behind the crime. A call from Zhang Qu’s phone connected Su Han to a woman who threatened him. He subsequently pursued the neighbors listed as witnesses in his case file 6 8.

Zhao Mu admitted that he had never witnessed the murders: a suited stranger had paid him two million to recite a prepared account. Su Han found the money and script, killed Zhao Mu, and discovered that the other neighbors had fled. His remaining leads were Xu Li and Su Yuyun, whose recorded statements had also accused him 2 8.

Unable to locate either woman, he decided to strengthen himself and let his enemies come to him. He re-enrolled at the Celestial Phenomena Martial Arts School, astonished Lu Yu with his rapid mastery, and became Lu Xunxiang’s disciple. After returning home, he killed two masked attackers and later the patrol officers sent to capture him 10 11 13 14 15.

Joining the Ten Thousand Immortals Cult

Zhao Lei recruited Su Han by offering information about his family’s attackers. Su Han immediately accepted, receiving menial-disciple status and the Azure Waves Immortal Martial Arts: Body Tempering Chapter. Zhao Lei identified Self-Circulating City as the attackers’ origin and the Sturgeon Group as the organization responsible for handling the aftermath 17.

Su Han independently developed Hundred Refinements cultivation from the introductory manual. He then destroyed the Red Fist Sect on the cult’s assignment and seized its Red Thread Fist manual. The feat earned him promotion to outer disciple in Chen Yixi’s Sixth Squad and information locating his sister at Benevolence Private Hospital 20 23 24.

The cult’s interest in him was not purely recognition of his talent. Chen Yixi and Kong Fuxian suspected that his growth concealed a valuable secret, while Zhao Lei continued treating him as expendable. Su Han likewise intended to stop cooperating once he obtained the techniques and information he needed 25 28 38.

Breaking with the Cult

During the operation against the Giant Whale Sect, Su Han concealed his strength and isolated a Baodan expert to obtain the sect’s martial arts. Zhao Lei admitted that he had intended the Red Fist Sect assignment to get Su Han killed, then threatened his family and friends. Su Han killed Zhao Lei and the isolated expert rather than submit further 37 38 39.

When confronted by three squad captains, he killed Li Feng and Liu Yu, crippled Chen Yixi, and took her captive. He hid in the Peace Hotel while the cult, Sturgeon Group, and government forces fought outside, recognizing that the strongest combatants’ aftershocks could kill him 40.

Chen Yixi revealed that the cult’s operation used a blood-sacrifice formation to turn mass casualties into cultivation pills. She also said that a noble from a powerful Self-Circulating City family had attacked Su Han’s family simply to vent, while the Sturgeon Group concealed the client’s identity. Su Han exchanged her life for the Wolf Smoke and Blood Pillar cultivation methods, verified the files, and then killed her despite the agreement 42 43.

Rescuing Su Yuyun

At Benevolence Private Hospital, Su Han found Su Yuyun barely alive. Hospital staff had been ordered to maintain her life without providing further treatment. He interrogated the staff and killed the director before bringing his sister to Lu Xunxiang and Lu Yu 47 49.

Su Han explained the framing and admitted killing Zhang Qu and more than forty patrol officers. Lu Xunxiang believed him and agreed to protect Su Yuyun. Nevertheless, Su Han secretly followed his master and senior sister to verify that they delivered her safely to a discreet clinic 49 50.

With his sister receiving care, Su Han made the Sturgeon Group his next target. News that Zhao Kai had disappeared created another concern, but he did not yet know what had happened. He returned home, fused six True Gang forces, developed Divine Martial Form, and reached Wolf Smoke 50.

Appearance

  • Normal appearance: A pale young man with delicate features and deep-set, cold-looking eyes; his ordinary height is 1.75 meters 5 50.
  • Divine Martial Form: Grows to nearly three meters as his muscles swell and bones enlarge. Black, mist-like gang energy surrounds him, threaded with countless writhing strands of force 50.
  • Blood-flame manifestation: His released qi and blood envelop him in red flames. After further cultivation, the flames develop writhing, hair-like and tentacle-like shapes 20 29.

Personality

The destruction of Su Han’s family turns him from an ordinary student into a revenge-driven killer. He experiences satisfaction rather than guilt after his first killings, having repeatedly imagined killing his torturers during captivity. Growing stronger and avenging his family become his overriding priorities 1 4 13.

He is impatient with intimidation and willing to use extreme violence to obtain information. His limited remaining lifespan intensifies that urgency: he kills Jing Tianjun and his companions rather than tolerate their threats, and ultimately rejects the cult’s coercion because he refuses to spend his remaining days under someone else’s control 13 39.

His aggression is tempered by tactical caution. He conceals his strength from the cult, stages an evenly matched fight to isolate a target, and hides rather than enter battles beyond his level. His distrust extends even to allies, prompting him to verify his sister’s safety personally after entrusting her to Lu Xunxiang 27 37 40 50.

Despite his brutality, he retains strong attachments. Zhao Kai’s concern briefly eases his tension, he avoids involving the martial arts school in his troubles, and his sister’s survival remains a priority throughout his pursuit of revenge 9 13 47 49.

Qi and Blood Immortal Martial Arts

Su Han cultivates the system introduced through the Azure Waves manual, with later installments also named Surging Waves or Canglan in the supplied passages 17 29 41 43.

  • Blood flames: Concentrates them around a fist or spreads them over his body like armor 20.
  • Force combination: Layers blood qi with Hua Jin or True Gang to multiply destructive power 20 30.

  • Ends when he withdraws his gang energy 50.
  • He identifies it as a likely manifestation of the Divine Martial Realm, rather than receiving external confirmation 50.
  • A second form combining the transformation with qi and blood remains untested; its minimum 200,000 combat power is his estimate 50.

Nether Prison of Rebirth

The buff’s stated function is to send killed enemies into the Nether Prison of Rebirth, allowing Su Han to resurrect them as fighters under his control 1.

  • Activation is automatic and cannot be stopped, consuming one day of lifespan per hour to gain one percentage point of progress 1.
  • Its last documented progress is 39%, with 161 days of lifespan remaining 29.
  • No completed activation or resurrection is shown in the supplied chapters 1 29.

Limitations

  • Movement techniques: Despite his physique, he cannot catch fleeing semi-enhanced humans because he lacks a suitable movement art 32.
  • Higher-tier opponents: Blood Pillar experts and ultimate modified humans remain dangerous enough that their battle’s aftershocks could kill him 40.
  • Cultivation bottlenecks: After reaching Wolf Smoke, further cultivation becomes strenuous; he expects to need a stronger physique before advancing easily again 50.
