Bringing His Sister Back
Su Han stood in the corridor, waiting quietly.
Before long, he sensed someone coming.
The men coming up from the stairwell were all dressed in security uniforms.
But Su Han could sense that they were no ordinary people.
Five White Grade enhanced humans.
"That's him!" one of the guards said, pointing at Su Han.
All five rushed at him at once.
But Su Han didn't even blink. He just waited quietly for them to come at him.
Then he curled his fingers into fists and exerted a little force.
Five punches.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Five muffled thuds rang out.
The five guards' vision suddenly went black, and they all flew backward at once, their chests bursting open and splattering blood across the floor.
In the blink of an eye, they were killed instantly!
All five guards died in an instant, and the commotion quickly alerted the people on that floor.
Patients poked their heads out to look, and nurses screamed.
Soon, more people came running up from downstairs.
Leading them was a man in his fifties, dressed in a suit and looking like someone in charge.
Two people followed him, a man and a woman, both half-cyborgs.
The man's face darkened when he saw the scene in the corridor.
"Who are you?" he asked, staring at Su Han.
Su Han looked at him.
"Are you the hospital director?"
"Yes." The man nodded. "How dare you kill people in a hospital?"
Su Han didn't answer. He simply asked,
"Was it you who arranged for the patient in room 307 to be there?"
The director's eyes flickered.
"So what if I did?"
"Who told you to arrange it?"
"That's none of your business." The director sneered. "Now, take him down!"
The two half-cyborgs behind him moved at once.
One on the left and one on the right, the two half-cyborgs charged at Su Han.
The man had a mechanical right arm, and the woman had mechanical legs. Both were very fast.
The man threw a punch with terrifying force, while the woman kicked out, producing a succession of sounds as she tore through the air.
But Su Han was faster.
He stood where he was until the two charged right up to him. His gaze sharpened slightly, and both hands shot out as his strength surged forth.
He raised his left hand and caught the man's mechanical arm.
He raised his right hand and caught the woman's mechanical leg.
"Crack! Crack!"
Two crisp snaps rang out.
The mechanical arm and leg were crushed at the same time.
Both screamed and flew backward, slamming heavily into the floor in the distance.
The floor cracked, all the mechanical parts on their bodies twisted out of shape, and their internal organs were reduced to pulp.
A pool of blood spread beneath them, and they moved no more.
The director's face changed drastically at the sight.
He had never expected Su Han to be so powerful.
Two half-cyborgs had been crippled in a single exchange?
If he stayed here any longer, he would die!
Sensing trouble, the director turned to run.
But Su Han had already taken a step, leaving an afterimage where he had stood and blocking the director's path.
"Trying to leave?"
The director gritted his teeth and suddenly punched at Su Han.
He was a White Grade enhanced human with a combat power of around ten thousand.
But Su Han could tell that he was an ordinary person who had taken an enhancement serum. His body was strong, but his actual combat ability was lacking.
Su Han raised a hand and easily caught his fist.
Then he twisted.
"Crack!"
His wrist broke.
A searing pain shot through him, and the director couldn't help letting out a scream.
But Su Han immediately pressed his other hand onto the man's shoulder and pushed down hard.
"Kneel."
The director's legs gave way, and he fell hard to his knees. Spiderweb-like cracks instantly spread across the floor beneath him.
His shoulder and leg bones shattered at once.
He was half-crippled, with only his life left.
Faced with a battle between powerful fighters, the doctors and patients nearby valued their lives too much to get involved and hurried away.
Only Su Han and the director remained.
"Now, I ask, and you answer."
A chill in his eyes, Su Han quietly looked at the kneeling director.
The director was breaking out in a cold sweat from the pain, but he still refused to back down.
"D-do you know who I am?"
"Do you know what'll happen if you hurt me? You'll-"
"Crack!"
Su Han didn't want to waste words. He simply stepped on the director's other hand.
All five fingers were crushed.
The director screamed even louder.
"I ask, you answer. Who opened this hospital?"
A trace of killing intent had appeared in Su Han's eyes, making the hair stand on end all over the director's body.
But he continued to lie.
"I... I opened it..."
"Tell the truth."
Su Han stepped on his foot.
"Ah! I'll talk, I'll talk!"
The director finally couldn't take it anymore and hurriedly told him the truth.
"The hospital was opened by a retainer of the Sturgeon Group."
"A retainer?"
"A powerful fighter with a position in the group. He gets a fixed salary and steps in when needed, but he also has his own business."
"What's the retainer's name?"
"Wang Dexu. He's a Black Grade enhanced human. He opened this hospital himself, and he has other companies too..."
Su Han nodded and continued questioning him.
"What's the story with the patient in room 309?"
The director didn't dare delay and hurriedly answered.
"She was sent over by the group's processing department, transferred from an ICU at a hospital in Yunfu District."
"And then?"
"We... we just made a recording saying there was no need to treat her. If she lived, she lived. If she couldn't make it, we'd... we'd drag her off to be burned..."
Su Han's gaze turned cold.
For the first time, he truly felt anger.
They hadn't treated her at all.
If she lived, she lived. If she couldn't make it, they would drag her off to be burned.
These people hadn't treated his sister like a human being at all.
Su Han took a deep breath.
Then he punched the director in the head.
"Bang!"
His head burst open.
Red and white matter splattered across the floor.
The director died then and there, making no further sound.
Su Han withdrew his fist and shook the blood off his hand.
Then he turned and walked back to room 309.
His sister had fallen unconscious again.
Su Han picked up his sister and walked out of the room.
Quite a few people had gathered in the corridor, but this man had just killed the director and a number of others.
So no one dared stop him.
Su Han went straight to the second floor and found the doctor on duty.
The doctor was a middle-aged woman. When she saw Su Han carrying someone covered in injuries, she froze for a moment.
"You..."
"Treat her." Su Han laid his sister on the hospital bed and spoke in a tone that brooked no argument.
"Treat her right now."
The doctor looked over his sister's injuries and frowned slightly.
"She's badly hurt. She needs..."
"I said, now." Su Han stared at her.
Frightened by his gaze, the doctor hurriedly nodded.
"All right, all right..."
She called in several assistants and began treating his sister.
They cleaned her wounds, bandaged them, gave her injections, and applied medicine.
They worked for nearly two hours.
"Her life is out of danger, but she still needs to rest and recuperate," the doctor said, wiping away her sweat.
Su Han nodded.
"Thank you."
He picked up his sister again and walked out of the treatment room.
Quite a few patrol officers had gathered outside, around a dozen of them, armed with stun guns.
They all tensed up when they saw Su Han come out.
"Stop!" one of the officers shouted.
Su Han ignored them and walked straight ahead.
The officers tried to stop him, but he gave a casual wave of his hand and sent them all flying backward.
He walked out of the hospital and stood by the roadside.
He took out his phone and booked a ride.
"To Yunfu District."
But then Su Han thought of how he had no family to turn to.
Even if he took his sister back, there didn't seem to be a good place to settle her.
His thoughts in turmoil, he remembered the Celestial Phenomena Martial Arts School and changed the destination on his phone again.
"To the Celestial Phenomena Martial Arts School."
