Tom's Backup Plan
Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
The Great Hall was now completely empty. It was hard to imagine that just a little while earlier, students from the four schools had gathered here for Potions tournament.
There's nothing we can do about it.
The Scourers suddenly attacked the United States. Capitol, and the Auror stationed at the school all went to reinforce it...
Continuing the game at this point would be very inappropriate.
Most importantly, Principal Eulalie Hicks felt inexplicably uneasy tonight.
He stood alone at the entrance of the Great Hall Great Hall, gazing into the deep night, and could only offer his blessings in his heart:
"I hope the United States Capitol is alright!"
Whether it's something serious or not, I don't know, but as time goes by, that Grim premonition grows stronger.
Speaking of which... this unease didn't just begin tonight; if we really want to trace it back, it stems from four years ago when Dumbledore suddenly contacted him through the Phoenix Book.
The old man told him that Voldemort had been resurrected and might have come to United States, warning him to be very careful.
Since then, a series of events have occurred continuously:
A school team went to the United Kingdom to watch the Quidditch World Cup, but a wizard in the team died mysteriously.
The snake tree suddenly bloomed, then began to wither; and there was the New York Obscurus incident;
The scandals surrounding Muggle President Clinton: "The Untold Secrets of the White House Office"...
In addition, the Capitol was attacked tonight...
In just a few short years, the United States seemed to be cursed, inexplicably descending into chaos.
Hicks sighed, hoping the night would pass peacefully.
He's getting old and can't handle "surprises."
If this kind of upheaval happens a few more times, his retirement ceremony and funeral will probably have to be held together.
But as if deliberately provoking a slap in the face, the sound of shoes clicking in the distance came from afar.
A tall, strong, bald wizard ran over in a panic.
Hicks frowned slightly. Fontana had been the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor for twenty years and was known for his composure in the face of important matters.
Aside from the time when Targaryen dumped his daughter, causing him to lose his composure unexpectedly, he usually kept his emotions hidden.
And now, in such a panic...
Something serious must have happened!
Sure enough, Fontana's opening remarks made Hicks feel that he had taken another big step closer to retirement.
"Headmaster, we've discovered traces of the Scourers, and in large numbers. They've triggered magic and are heading straight for Ipham's magic."
Hicks couldn't help but rub his head.
He realized that the attack on Congress was just a pretext to lure away the Auror so that they could then attack Ilvermorny.
What could possibly be so troubling for the Scourers?
Only that abnormal Snakewood!
As a wizard who had lived through the era of Grindelwald, Hicks was a seasoned veteran. He quickly regained his composure and began issuing orders:
"Notify all deans to organize students to leave their dormitories and hide in the magical protective cave."
Send Ozma, Orn, and Corey to lead their respective combat teams to the top of the three tallest towers.
The view there is unobstructed, and the location is advantageous, making it convenient for casting spells.
He then looked at Fontana and said seriously, "Find the professors from the other three schools and make them keep their promise and enter the playground."
We need someone to organize and guard all the entrances and exits into the school...
"Yes, Principal!" Fontana turned and left.
Hicks breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he had the foresight to organize Potions tournament, which garnered him many allies.
Otherwise, tonight wouldn't be so relaxed!
With these people around, Snakewood is safe.
Even if Voldemort himself came, let alone the Scourers, he couldn't take away the Snakewood.
He, Principal Ilvermorny, said it!
On campus,
All the professors, following the principal's orders, dispersed around this entrance.
Babbling was no exception; her task was to search for and deploy a super-strong defensive magic spell for the school.
She had already transformed back into William and headed towards the library, intending to find a moment to notify William to return.
She suddenly stopped and looked towards a certain corner.
A wizard appears, and Tom hides in the darkness again.
He said in a weary tone, "Targaryen, I need you to do something for me right now."
Babbling did not agree, but instead cautiously asked:
"You've obtained the Prehistoric Mysteries?"
When Tom first approached her, he used Prehistoric Mysteries as bait.
Her current focus on this matter is a way of maintaining her public image.
Tom replied without hesitation, "Of course, I have already obtained that power."
"Complete the task I've given you, and I will naturally, as promised, guide you to experience that lost power."
Babbling scoffed inwardly. Tom had some acting skills, but he was definitely lying.
After all, she had already sent Trene to the Capitol with William.
With William around, Babbling didn't believe Tom could have obtained that power.
At least they wouldn't act that quickly!
But Babbling remained expressionless, only asking the question she already knew the answer to:
What do you want me to do this time?
Tom smiled slightly, exuding an air of mystery and arrogance.
"I'm going to take that Snakewood from Ilvermorny!"
Babbling remained silent, never expecting Tom to have such a plan.
"The school has provided a lot of protection; I'm afraid it would be difficult for me to manage alone..."
"I know, that's why I brought the Scourers to attack." Tom said in a low voice.
"This will tie down a lot of wizards."
"That's not enough." Babbling shook her head and said, "Principal Hicks is holding Potions tournament, which has gathered wizards from three schools."
These people are already engaged in battle; the Scourers you brought are no match for them.
Ilvermorny originally had four layers of protection, but now he has only lured the Auror away from their stronghold, but that is not enough.
Tom suddenly smiled smugly, "I knew, so... I already had a backup plan."
"The professor leading the team in Uagadou was already under my control with the Imperius Curse."
They have already begun attacking Ilvermorny.
Babbling gave Tom a long, deep look.
As expected of Dark Lord with intelligence.
First, lure the Auror away, then let the Scourers attack.
There's also Uagadou spy who's starting to create chaos.
This rendered most of Ilvermorny's defensive measures ineffective.
By this time, the school's protective measures for the Snakewood had become very weak.
Tom orchestrated the long-lurking Targaryen ' move, catching them off guard and surprising everyone.
That's a brilliant plan!
Babbling realized that William understood Tom better.
In his words:
In situations like this, it's best to leave all the problems to Tom. No matter how tight Ilvermorny's protection is, Tom can always find a solution.
But then the problem suddenly became simple.
Slytherin's Wand must be given to Tom, but before that, it must be obtained first.
Babbling was still wondering how to get the wand first, but unexpectedly Tom delivered himself to her doorstep.
She mimicked William's frequent phrase, "buy oranges," and playfully added:
"I'm going to get that Snakewood. You stay here and don't move."
