Slytherin's Wand
Many Magical Creatures gathered at the winding cave entrance.
This tunnel, originally secretly dug by Horned Serpent, has now been occupied by a group of Pukwudgie.
To protect the Snakewood, Ilvermorny created four defensive mechanisms.
This is the last line of defense for Macedonia... Fianto Duri!
Why not have a wizard supervise it?
In Principal Hicks's view, Pukwudgie's loyalty far surpasses that of humans.
After all, these Pukwudgie of Ilvermorny are all descendants of the Pukwudgie that followed Isolt back then.
They are the school's most loyal guardians.
At this moment, the Pukwudgie named "William," who had lived for over three hundred years, was sitting deep inside the cave, guarding the Snakewood.
His cloudy gaze remained, seemingly unfocused, fixed on the young wizard.
Pukwudgie distrusts wizards.
But the person sent by Principal Hicks was Professor Ilvermorny, so he had no choice but to reluctantly agree to let him stay.
Fortunately, the wizard made no unusual move. Since arriving at the cave, he had been sitting with his hands behind his back, leisurely observing the Slytherin statue.
William stared at the statue, remaining silent for a long time.
He could feel wisps of heat rising from the ground.
The flowers of the Snakewood had withered, its vitality greatly diminished, and the cave was no longer cool; it had become scorching hot, like a steamer.
This also confirms that Greylock is indeed an active volcano!
Building a school on a volcano... Isolt, you really know what you're doing!
While observing the statue, William also waited patiently, hoping that Pukwudgie would relax.
Even a Pukwudgie that's several hundred years old, no matter how powerful it used to be, can't escape the fate of insufficient blood and energy and a weak body.
Even at his peak, William wasn't afraid of him, let alone now.
The reason they didn't take direct action was simply because they were worried about damaging the flowers and plants in the cave.
Slytherin's Wand is too important to be damaged in the slightest!
Seeing that Pukwudgie's eyes were getting dry and he seemed a bit listless after staring for so long... a good opportunity!
William, with his hands clasped behind his back, remained silent, not drawing his wand, but instead tapping his fingers lightly.
Thunder suddenly roared.
The black lightning shot out like a cannonball, and then the magic exploded in mid-air, scattering in all directions.
Pukwudgie was caught off guard and immediately felt numb all over his body, which stiffened briefly.
William turned abruptly, rushed forward, and a magic wand appeared in his hand.
Pukwudgie had lived for several hundred years, and especially in the harsh environment of North America, his survival experience was terrifying.
His open mouth spewed out a gush of water... and then a burst of scorching orange flames.
The flames scattered, dispersing the lightning and preventing William from getting closer.
The Pukwudgie is a creature with an ugly face, a bad temper, and a long upper body and short lower body, hence its nickname "Three-Inch Dwarf Tree Bark".
It excels at stealth, Transfiguration, and possesses an ancestral... flamethrower.
William held his wand forward, blocking the flames. He felt the cave getting even hotter.
Pukwudgie clearly intended to control the fire, avoiding burning the Snakewood.
But the Pukwudgie was furious at being attacked by the wizard. After easing his stiffness, he took the dark bamboo bow off his back and twisted it between two fingers.
The poisoned bamboo arrow, like a bamboo dragonfly stirring up a raging fire, steadily shot towards William.
Then, just as the arrow was about to touch the young man's chest and pierce through his body, it was blocked by a magical shield and bounced back as if it had hit a mountain.
William broke through the flames, appeared behind Pukwudgie, kicked him in the stomach, pressed his wand to his forehead, and almost simultaneously exerted force.
The poor, centuries-old Magical Creatures crashed into the rock wall.
As he struggled to his feet, two wands were already pointed at him simultaneously.
This is Hermione and Trene, who came out of the Safety Watch.
Babbling slowly walked to the Snakewood root, holding her wand, and threatened:
"Stop attacking, or I'll destroy the Snakewood and cause the volcano to erupt."
Pukwudgie wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his anger blazing, and he said in a hoarse voice:
"What exactly do you want?!"
He couldn't understand why the wizard recommended by the headmaster would betray him.
"Nothing much, just borrowing the Snakewood," William said.
"Impossible!"
Babbling sneered, "That's not up to you."
Besides, the Snakewood has already been awakened. Even if it can delay the eruption for a while longer, the volcano will eventually erupt again.
But I can help you put it back to sleep, let it take root and sprout again... hiss~"
Babbling spoke her last few words in Parseltongue.
Pukwudgie was stunned; he had also been searching for a wizard Parseltongue.
But after the Gaunt family was wiped out, practically no one knew how to do it anymore.
I never expected this witch to speak with Parseltongue.
But he still loudly urged:
"If you take the Snakewood now, the volcano will erupt in full force within half an hour..."
"Half an hour is enough." Babbling stood beside the Snakewood, hissing as she gently twisted her wand.
As a sudden gust of cold wind swept in, the candlelight flickered and dimmed, and the vines began to wither.
Inside the Ilvermorny School, the Snakewood, which had been growing tall and graceful, suddenly turned red, like burning maple leaves, after all their leaves had turned yellow.
The flowers that had bloomed earlier have all withered and fallen, leaving only a small bud helplessly drifting away.
Soon, it too gently drifted down, and all the leaves withered and turned black in an instant.
Inside the cave,
William tore off the base and grasped a wand, which felt cool to the touch and had a Basilisk pattern drawn on one end.
Most remarkably, the Basilisk was alive; it could move freely on the wand.
I finally got it, yet another Deathly Hallows.
William was filled with emotion.
He already possesses four of the nine Deathly Hallows:
Ravenclaw's Ring, the Holy Grail, the Diadem, and Slytherin's Wand.
Dumbledore, Nicolas, and Harry each possess the Elder Wand, the Book of Alchemy, and the Invisibility Cloak, respectively.
This means that seven out of nine are still possible, with only the Resurrection Stone and the cauldron for brewing all kinds of Potions remaining...
Of course, this Slytherin's Wand will soon be delivered to Tom, but before that...
William pulled out a book made of finely smooth tree bark.
--The Book of Alchemy!
Before coming to United States, William took the book from Nicolas.
This book is divided into three groups of seven pages each.
The first group contains all the alchemical items that have ever appeared in the Wizarding World.
The second group contains the method for crafting Deathly Hallows.
The third group will contain alchemical items that have never appeared in the Wizarding World before.
On the seventh page of the first set, there is a drawing of a magic wand being swallowed by a giant python; on the seventh page of the second set, there is a drawing of a goblet.
William has obtained the Holy Grail and unlocked the third set of content.
Now only the second set of content remains. Once unlocked, it will allow you to artificially create... the Deathly Hallows!
William held up Slytherin's Wand in his left hand and Book of Alchemy in his right.
He released the wand, and it automatically hovered in the air, steady and not falling.
The originally dark image suddenly brightened up and shone brightly.
The contents of the second volume unfold like a book of Death written by the Death Reaper.
Countless phantom images of the Deathly Hallows flickered in the air, each one lifelike, like a holographic projection.
William stared intently at the magnificent painting, his eyes burning with desire.
The number of Deathly Hallows was far more than nine; he recognized some and didn't.
William even saw Babbling's pendant.
But in any case, the Book of Alchemy was finally completely deciphered at this moment.
At that moment, William even felt that as long as he held the Holy Grail in his hands again, he would be as omnipotent as Death.
But William quickly stopped his greed.
The Holy Grail was not with him; it was with Hermione and placed in her possession.
Because Grindelwald had warned him before he left:
"In each of the Tale of the Three Brothers, there are three Deathly Hallows; this is a complete set of the Hallows."
You can possess a mix of the nine Deathly Hallows, but never try to collect the complete three-piece set from a single story.
William previously owned three separate sets, but now he has officially completed the entire set.
However, due to Grindelwald's instructions, he dared not possess three items simultaneously.
He reached out and grabbed the Book of Alchemy, but as soon as the thought arose, the phantoms quickly overlapped.
The Book of Alchemy has returned to its original bark-like appearance.
"Alright, now it's time to go find Tom... it's time to settle things with him."
