The Real and Fake Lady of the Lake
According to the map in the Book of Two Ways, the Underworld is dotted with countless islands.
The vast River Styx stretches across the land, with countless tributaries encircling the various islands.
These islands also guard that final Resting Place of the dead.
The abode of Death, where the Death Reaper resides, guards the exit from the Underworld.
Island of the Fountain of Fair Fortune is one of these islands.
As its name suggests, the island has a spring, the Fountain of Fair Fortune.
According to Ravenclaw, Felix Felicis was derived from the Fountain of Fair Fortune.
Compared to Felix Felicis, the original Potions, Fountain of Fountain of Fair Fortune, is far more powerful.
For example... Felix Felicis has time limitations and cannot be consumed in large quantities or frequently.
The Fountain of Fair Fortune, on the other hand, not only has no side effects, but it can also permanently increase your luck stat.
One is a short-term buff, the other is a permanent attribute boost; they're not even in the same league.
The reason for this is that the ingredients for brewing Felix Felicis are all available in the magical world.
The Fountain of Fair Fortune uses materials that can be used to make Deathly Hallows.
The difference between the two is as vast as the Elder Wand and the wand made by Cedric... a chasm that cannot be bridged in several lifetimes.
(Cedric: Are you being polite?!)
So, now that he's encountered it, William definitely wants to drink a whole mug of lucky water... preferably in a bucket, to take it all away.
Unfortunately, the Fountain of Fair Fortune isn't so easy to obtain.
It is located on a high hill in the Magic Garden, surrounded by high walls and protected by Prehistoric Mysteries magic.
Anyway, even Ravenclaw wrote a big "Danger" sign on the map.
With time running out, William temporarily abandoned the idea of going ashore to fetch water.
However, this also shows that anything famous in the Underworld must be of the highest quality!
Leaving aside the Deathly Hallows, even the Potions are incredibly powerful.
William then remembered that the magical world also had some magical Potions that could enhance male potion quality.
If this were made with magical ingredients from the Underworld, wouldn't it be heavenly?!
Of course, William was just thinking about it casually; he was strong and healthy and didn't need such a thing.
I just wanted to help a friend... with some kind of Underworld proxy shopping.
Another question arises: the story of the Fountain of Fair Fortune is also recorded in the Tales of Beedle the Bard.
This book also contains the Tale of the Three Brothers.
When a story related to the Underworld appears, it can be considered a coincidence; but when a second one appears...
All the content in this collection of fairy tales may be true, and it describes things in the Underworld.
This Beedle the Bard, is no ordinary man either!
It's not impossible.
Just like in his previous life, when William read the Classic of Mountains and Seas, he found it all rather ordinary and regarded it as mythology.
But after transmigrating and becoming a wizard, he discovered that this book was clearly realistic.
Many of these animals are powerful Magical Creatures.
Even a famous United States wizard once argued in his book, "The Pale Ink," that the Classic of Mountains and Seas was a map.
She believes:
Thousands of years ago, Da Yu sent people to explore the mountains, rivers, and products of the Americas.
She also praised:
"To those resolute and fearless people of the Celestial Empire who mapped out snow-capped, towering peaks as early as four thousand years ago, we can only bow our heads and pay homage."
(There really is a book called "The Pale Ink", in which the author Mertz discusses how Da Yu sent people to explore the mountains, rivers and products of the Americas 4,200 years ago. The main document is the "Classic of Mountains and Seas".)
Therefore, North America has been a land since ancient times...
While William was still pondering, Arya, lying in the golden coffin on the far right, suddenly opened her eyes.
After entering the Underworld, William used magic to interrupt her spell. Now it's time for her to wake up.
Arya sensed something was wrong. She was about to burst out when she realized that her hands and feet...
No, it was a play where the whole body was bound with ropes.
William naturally rated the woman's level of danger as the highest.
Not only were they bound with unbreakable magical ropes, but they also gave Arya a special Potions as a precaution.
After taking this Potions, one becomes conscious, but the body becomes limp and soft like a lump of warm jade. Not to mention moving, it is difficult to Wandless Magic, but this does not prevent the voice from coming out of the throat.
The effects of the drug did sound a bit strange, but William was using it with a very serious mindset.
Seeing that Arya had woken up, William gave Hermione a look.
Hermione immediately took the most potent Veritaserum from the Safety Watch and poured it into a glass.
William pried open Arya's mouth with his fingers, poured in the Veritaserum, and asked:
"Who is in control of this body now?"
The soul of Arya resides within Egypt's Beautiful Queen.
Back in Paris that year, it was Arya's consciousness that was in control of her body.
It's hard to say now.
But Arya's eyes were clear; she didn't reply at all, but simply frowned and looked around.
It seems Veritaserum is useless...
Veritaserum is not a panacea; powerful Occlumency can resist its effects.
For example, back in New York, the Magical Congress of the United States of America captured Grindelwald.
During the subsequent interrogation, he was given Veritaserum.
Grindelwald faked being Veritaserum and deliberately misled the Magical Congress, causing the deaths of many Auror.
Since the Veritaserum was ineffective, William had to find other ways to get the woman to talk.
Just then, following the current, the golden coffin approached Island of the Fountain of Fair Fortune.
From here, you can see a wide, green waterway stretching straight to the center of the island.
William looked up and surveyed the surrounding scenery.
The golden coffin passed beneath an intricately carved stone arch bridge, adorned with carvings of dozens of different Magical Creatures;
The bridge is covered with lush vines; on one side, thousands of painted eyes gaze down at them.
What shocked William the most was that there were houses built on both sides of the island.
The magnificent white marble palace features a large silver dome and milky white stained-glass windows that display the sun in different states.
Beside each doorway stood a pair of marble statues.
There wasn't a single human being in sight.
This place looks more like it used to be inhabited, but is now abandoned.
Besides the Death and the dead, are there any other native inhabitants of the Underworld?
William gazed at Island of the Fountain of Fair Fortune, eager to investigate it.
Just then, a voice came from behind, and Arya spoke:
"Don't bother trying. Only by crossing the magic barrier and reaching the Fountain of Fair Fortune on the day with the longest sunshine each year can you obtain lasting good fortune."
At other times, the spring water is just spring water, utterly useless.
"Is it still daytime here?" Hermione asked in surprise.
They had been drifting for ten hours since they arrived, and had not yet seen the sunrise.
"The sky of the Underworld has no stars, but it has a sun created by a god," Arya said.
"One night here is equivalent to one day and night for Muggle, so we'll have to wait a while before we see the sun."
I see...
Soon, tall and imposing stone statues appeared on the island, arranged on both sides, with solemn expressions and wearing long robes.
Seeing so many man-made ruins, William looked at Arya and asked curiously:
Has anyone ever lived here?
"Of course, the previous Grim Death lived here, and he also created the Fountain of Fair Fortune," Arya said.
"After he disappeared, this place was completely abandoned."
"The previous Grim Death... are there many more Grim Death?" William was stunned.
He had thought that Death was immortal.
Is co-authoring also a contract-based position?
Or does Death also have an end to its lifespan, and when one god falls from grace, a new successor takes its place?
But Arya did not answer, instead coldly saying:
"You two have already asked me two questions. In exchange, it's my turn to ask."
Otherwise, I won't say another word.
William and Hermione exchanged a glance, then nodded.
This method of information exchange is the most time-saving and labor-saving.
"Who helped you enter the Underworld?" Arya asked.
There are normally only two ways to enter the world of the dead: the first is through death, and the second is through the trials of the Three Brothers.
The method of using the golden coffin was something Arya discovered after searching for a long time.
She was very curious: how did Stark and Granger know this?
Could it be that woman is helping them?!
"It's intelligence left behind by Hufflepuff," William said.
"Hufflepuff?" Arya narrowed her eyes.
If it were her, then it would be understandable.
William then asked, "Who are you? Arya or Egypt's Beautiful Queen?"
He desperately wanted to know who was in control of this body.
To William's surprise, the witch smiled and uttered an answer that shocked him.
"I am the Lady of the Lake..."
William's expression right now can only be described as:
Elderly person, subway, cell phone... JPG!
