The Terrible Professor Quirrell
Being drugged and being drugged, though the outcome is the same, are completely different in nature, at least in terms of the manner in which they occur.
Marietta was not blinded by passion; she firmly refused and decided to ignore William for the entire class unless he changed his mind.
Qiu shook her head and sighed, seemingly feeling helpless towards her best friend.
Falling for someone who is too outstanding is not necessarily a good thing.
Just then, the school bell rang, and Professor Quirrell walked in.
As soon as he entered the classroom, a strange smell wafted through the air.
"What does it smell like?" Marietta sniffed.
As Professor Quirrell removed his hat, the smell became even stronger.
It's like a hundred people who ate garlic breathing together; the smell is pungent and intoxicating, reminding everyone of a certain unpleasant period from last year.
"Children, hello... I am Professor Quirrell... Please take out your textbooks, okay?" Professor Quirrell stammered.
"Professor, what did you say?" Judy Crouch asked loudly. "Can you speak English?"
"I was talking about... English... authentic... London accent." Professor Quirrell blushed.
However, he spoke with a stutter and an accent, a bit like curry, making him seem like India to those who didn't know him.
William couldn't stand the smell any longer. He held his breath for a while, then used his Transfiguration to conjure three masks, which he gave to Cho and Marietta.
He brought one with him too.
Everyone looked at William with longing eyes, as if hoping he could conjure up some more.
At this point, everyone regretted not paying attention in Professor McGonagall's class. Judy Crouch even passed a note offering to buy one from William for ten Galleon!
Face masks suddenly became a scarce commodity.
Soon, everyone had face masks.
Professor Quirrell's face contorted with rage as he angrily declared, "I did this... to drive away... vampires! You know those Magical Creatures are afraid of... garlic!"
Professor Quirrell stammered as he recounted an encounter with a vampire in Romania.
It was still September, and the weather was very hot. Professor Quirrell was soon covered in sweat.
But he still refused to take off his thick scarf.
"I can't take it off. It's a gift from... an Africa Prince... who helped me get rid of the Inferi."
Arthur of Slytherin stood up, his mouth covered by three masks, his voice muffled.
"Professor, how did you defeat the Inferi?"
The professor mumbled incoherently, then began to change the subject. "I must say, the weather in the United Kingdom... is as terrible as ever. I prefer... winter."
"Professor Quirrell, are you lying?!"
Quirrell's face flushed even redder, veins bulging on his forehead, as he argued, "I just... I just can't remember, how is that lying... can't remember... how could the professor's words be a lie?"
Then came the difficult-to-understand Northern Ireland accents, such as "Avada Kedavra" and "Dark Moe Lord," which made everyone burst into laughter: the classroom and surrounding area were filled with a joyful atmosphere.
But halfway through the course, everyone couldn't stand the professor anymore. He was just reading from the textbook, and nobody could understand what he was saying.
Arthur of Slytherin bought Lee Jordan's Black Widow for a high price. He used a spell to enlarge the spider, and it soon began to roam around the classroom.
Professor Quirrell was so startled that he immediately stepped back, nearly knocking his scarf off.
"Professor Quirrell is terrible. Death Eaters would be better at teaching us," Qiu complained after class.
That's what everyone thinks; Quirrell is several Snape's Tywin.
Instead of wasting time like this, it would be better to have Snape has always been envious of this course, teach it; at least he has some real talent.
But soon no one thought that way anymore.
On Friday morning, the first-year Gryffindor and Slytherin wizards had their first Potions Class.
Professor Snape once again revealed his deep-seated malice.
This time it's aimed at the Boy Who Lived.
It was an undisguised, extreme loathing and hatred, and most people didn't know why Professor Snape felt this way.
In fact, even when William was tricked by the Sorting Hat last year, Professor Snape did not show him such malice.
Well... maybe the professor didn't even have a chance to show his malice before Marietta got him hospitalized.
Overall, the Snape of the past was still quite normal. Although he had a bad temper, a gloomy face, didn't wash his hair, was sarcastic, liked to deduct points, and was sharp-tongued, he was still a good professor.
But this year, it seems to have gotten even worse.
During Potions Class, Neville also knocked over the cauldron.
However, after last year's ordeal, Professor Snape realized early on that Neville was the second Marietta.
He would stay far away during class, and even when scolding Neville, he wouldn't come within three meters, so the cauldron didn't affect him.
Harry was targeted by Snape, which made Malfoy feel good.
It was a feeling of comfort from the inside out. He swept away his past decadence and began to swagger and act arrogantly again, as if Hogwarts were his own property.
He also ordered a Hogwarts Map from William through Arthur.
Malfoy had very high requirements: the Malfoy family crest had to be gilded, the font had to be a beautiful cursive, the map had to have small green snake patterns on it, and preferably, the snakes would be animated when the map was open...
With so many complicated requirements, William's fees are naturally very high.
He found a fine piece of cowhide from Hagrid, spent half a day preparing it, and the cost was almost zero. In the end, he charged Malfoy three hundred Galleon.
But Malfoy agreed, saying that a few hundred Galleon were nothing to him.
William also told him he could use Dragon Hide, but each map would cost three thousand Galleon. However, William waited several days without receiving a reply.
This disappointed him somewhat.
Making maps for Malfoy was something even the twin brothers didn't object to; after all, with so much money being offered, who could refuse Galleon?
In the evening, Hermione found William in the library. The girl's eyes were red, as if she had been crying.
She complained that Professor Snape didn't give her a chance to answer questions.
"It was me, it was me first, it was all me first... Whether it was raising my hand or answering questions, why didn't Professor Snape give me any points!" Hermione said indignantly.
"He only let Harry answer the questions; that's blatant favoritism!"
William rolled his eyes; Harry probably wouldn't agree with Hermione's conclusion.
"That's just how Professor Snape; you'd better not raise your hand in his class."
"But, but how can I give Gryffindor points if I don't answer the questions?" Hermione said.
"You've already added enough points, haven't you?"
William actually wanted to say that you shouldn't expect to get extra points in Professor Snape's class; you should be grateful if you don't lose any.
"I've inquired; you earned extra points in Professor Snape's class last year."
"The points I earned were for saving lives, not for answering questions." William shook his head and advised, "Hermione, don't even think about it. Snape will only ignore you from now on; he basically ignores me now too."
To be precise, Snape would ignore everyone else; his eyes were only on Harry.
William planned to observe for a while longer. If Snape continued to ignore him, he was prepared to openly brew other Potions in class.
William's time is very precious right now; we can't waste it!
