Marrying a Merperson?
After saying goodbye to Hagrid, the group finally arrived at the lake.
The entire Black Lake is covered by thick ice, so thick that walking on it is perfectly safe.
They hurried to the middle of the lake, where the pit they had dug a few days earlier lay.
There were also many pine branches placed in the water of the pit; these Sickle prevent the lake from freezing over again at night.
As they approached, they discovered that all the food used to Merpeople had been eaten.
Merpeople love to eat two-herb algae, and the Potions made from this stuff are also fatally attractive to them, just like cats are attracted to catnip.
William and his team devised a plan to trap a Merpeople, which they have been implementing for a week.
Every morning, they would place Potions- coated algae at the mouth of the water pit, and then leave immediately afterward to lower the other party's guard.
Except for the food from the first day, which was not eaten, all the food from the other days disappeared.
Merpeople may be intelligent, but they certainly can't compare to humans. Besides, no one at Hogwarts has ever captured Merpeople, so their vigilance would be greatly reduced.
The group certainly wouldn't harm the Merpeople; Cedric, for example, only wanted a little bit of Merpeople hair to use as the core of his staff.
As for William and his group... to put it bluntly, they were just bored with Quirrell and had nothing better to do than go on adventures.
Cedric took two medicinal algae out of his pocket and piled them all at the edge of the ice cave. William then applied the Potions to them.
Less than three minutes later, a commotion came from underwater, and the Merpeople with dark green hair surfaced. She swallowed the medicinal algae whole.
"Stupefy!" Fred's spell struck the Merpeople squarely on the head, and it floated belly up on the surface of the water.
The four people hurriedly pulled the Merpeople up.
This Merpeople was so ugly, less than 1.2 meters tall, with iron-gray skin and long, messy, dark green hair.
Its eyes were yellow, its broken teeth were also yellow, and it wore pebbles strung together with a thick rope around its neck.
This ugly creature was a completely different concept from the beautiful Merpeople William had imagined.
"Come on, look at your hair, how long has it been since you got a haircut?" Cedric turned into a chatterbox and started talking to the unconscious Merpeople.
He pulled out a small knife he had prepared beforehand and said happily, "Let me trim your hair."
As the saying goes, a barber never knows what "a trim" means. Cedric transformed into Tony the barber and cut off all of the Merpeople's hair.
Such an ugly Merpeople, they certainly wouldn't bring her back to the castle as a Christmas surprise; Cedric planned to just throw her back into the lake.
Used and then thrown away, that's how cold-blooded and ruthless he is, revealing his true colors as a scumbag.
But just then, a series of loud thumping sounds came from beneath the ice.
Suddenly, more than a dozen large pits were chiseled open in the thick ice layer, and a large number of Merpeople emerged from each pit.
William and his men were standing in the middle of the Black Lake, completely surrounded!
Cedric rolled his eyes, assessed the enemy's and his own strength, and immediately admitted defeat, "Can we still explain?"
William glanced at Cedric, who was holding a handful of green hair in his left hand and an unconscious Merpeople in his right... What's the point of explaining?!
George shrugged. "We'll probably be feeding the fish in Black Lake for Christmas."
The Merpeople smiled maliciously at the four of them, each holding a trident of some unknown material, and violently slapping the lake water with their thick, powerful silver fish tails.
"Young wizard, this is my Merpeople princess. Are you holding her because you intend to marry into our tribe?"
An elderly Merpeople suddenly appeared, holding a larger trident in his hand, the silver weapon Winky in the sunlight.
With the appearance of the Merpeople chieftain, more and more Merpeople appeared around them.
They quickly cut through the ice, making it seem as if William and his three companions were standing on a deserted island.
Merpeople kept emerging from all directions, looking at the four of them curiously, pointing and whispering among themselves while covering their mouths.
Some Merpeople had Little Grindylow's corpse stuck in their harpoons, while others had octopuses stuck in them.
Many Merpeople pointed their forks at William and his companions. At that moment, William thought of Runtu, and the four of them seemed to be... harpies!
"This isn't good," William murmured.
If these Merpeople were as beautiful as the Merpeople in "Pirates of the Caribbean," and could even transform into long-legged beauties that needed to be carried ashore... William wouldn't mind taking one with him.
Getting married... it doesn't matter who you marry, and it's not uncommon for marriages to break down.
But looking at the Merpeople in Cedric's hand... forget it, he'd rather feed it to the fish.
William waved his wand inside his robes and began to chant a spell softly.
"Cedric, how about you make a sacrifice?" George said, winking.
"Yeah, you're the one cutting someone's hair, so sacrificing a little of your looks isn't a big deal," Fred laughed.
"Bullshit, why aren't you guys here?" Cedric said with a bitter face.
He sidled up to William and asked, "Do you have a way, brother? Hurry up!"
"There are a few," William smiled, "But I also think it would be better for you to marry this Merpeople."
That way, all the creatures from Black Lake are yours, and you can have any materials you want.
"..."
Meanwhile, far away in the castle, Harry, Hagrid, and their friends, who had just finished Potions Class, encountered Hagrid dragging a fir tree toward the Great Hall Hagrid.
Ron asked Hagrid if he needed help, and Malfoy "coincidentally" overheard them.
Malfoy, drawing out his words, mocked, "Are you trying to earn some pocket money, Weasley?"
I suppose you probably hope that after graduating from Hogwarts, you'll also be guarding the hunting grounds— Hagrid's Hut must be like a palace compared to your old house!
Ron charged toward Malfoy, just as Snape appeared on the stairs.
"Weasley!"
Ron loosened Malfoy's shirt.
"Someone provoked him first, Professor Snape," Hagrid said, poking his bushy head out from behind a tree. "Malfoy just insulted his family."
"Regardless, physical violence is a violation of Hogwarts rules, Hagrid," Snape said with a smooth laugh.
"Gryffindor key..."
Before Snape could finish speaking, a loud explosion came from afar, and a flying broom suddenly shot towards him.
At that moment, Snape, in perfect harmony with his stance, displayed the yoga skills he had honed over many years, quickly bending backward to narrowly avoid a fatal blow.
But Malfoy wasn't so lucky; the broom's tail grazed his shiny, light blond hair as it flew past.
Malfoy's hair was a mess, like a bird's nest. He staggered and bumped his head on Hagrid's huge fir tree, immediately raising a large bump.
"Who did this! Could it be another one of the Stark Bad Guys Alliance?" Snape stormed outside.
Goyle and Black quickly helped Malfoy up and led him toward the emergency medical room.
"Was it Merlin's intervention?" Ron exclaimed excitedly. "I just made a wish in my heart, hoping that Merlin would teach Malfoy a lesson..."
"No!" Hermione exclaimed worriedly, "It's William's flying broomstick, I recognize it very well!"
"I hope he hasn't gotten into trouble again."
Hermione hurriedly ran towards the flying broomstick.
Harry and Ron exchanged a glance and hurriedly followed him out.
