Stark's Cloak of Levitation
In the empty room,
Hermione was wearing a blue bodysuit, holding her wand, and carefully pointing it at herself.
The Dementor swam out of the glass room, hissing as it lunged at Hermione.
A normal Dementor is about three meters tall, but this one has been shrunk to the height of an average adult.
It's not stunted growth, but rather a rapid shrinkage of the body due to prolonged fasting. This is a characteristic sign of weakness in Dementor.
The Dementor glided slowly forward, hissing as it breathed heavily, and a putrid hand reached out to Hermione.
To the Dementor, Hermione was like a delicious meal, or a spring of water found in the heart of the desert by a traveler on the verge of thirst.
Since being illegally imprisoned, it has been living a life of misery every day.
She was constantly being studied and manipulated by that boy, and every few days he would torture her with various kinds of magic. Occasionally, when he didn't use magic, he would switch to high-voltage electric shocks, high-speed water cutting, or pouring gasoline to simmer her!
It was so cruel it would make Dementor shudder!
I can't do any more research, and I can't even rest, or I'll be found out and used as a punching bag for the girls to practice their Patronus Charm!
Oh Merlin, when will these dark and hopeless days end?
At first, the Dementor would curse and call for help in their own language... But as time went on, they became so hungry that they almost lost the strength to even speak.
It doesn't want to run away now, nor does it expect its companions to save it... As a poor Dementor, it has to be realistic; it just wants a good meal!
Is there anything wrong with that?
The Dementor then lunged at Hermione in a frenzy.
"Expecto Patronum!" Hermione cried.
The white mist that billowed out slightly slowed down the speed of the Dahei.
Hermione tried to recall the happy times she had spent with William. She pressed her finger down, tapped her wand, and the white mist thickened, eventually forming a small bird.
The bird swirled merrily around Hermione, then shot straight at the Dementor's head.
The bird was moving so fast that it was unavoidable, and the gliding Dementor was knocked to the ground on the spot... It was moving so fast, it looked like an old man trying to scam someone.
William sat at a distance, closed the book in his hands, and couldn't help but say:
"That's enough, Hermione. You've already learned the Patronus Charm, so stop torturing it. Look how thin you've made the child."
"It's far from over. This Dementor is already very weak, so it won't have much of an effect on me."
Hermione, panting, skillfully took Potions from the table and drank it down in one gulp.
She took a few breaths, looked at William with burning eyes, and said, "Come on, let's fight."
"Don't you want to rest for a while?" William frowned slightly. Hermione had been acting strangely ever since they parted ways with Phoebe.
Seeing William's expression, Hermione knew what he was thinking and explained:
"I've just realized I have many shortcomings, and I'm taking advantage of the time before school starts to continue improving myself."
"There's no need to put too much pressure on yourself. You're already very outstanding among your peers."
"But she's nowhere near as good as Phoebe... I can't even beat her," Hermione muttered, dissatisfied.
"She's two years older than you." William picked up the thermos cup next to him.
"So I must work twice as hard to close the gap of these two years, and not let her outdo me." Hermione said with utmost seriousness.
"I must beat her, and preferably you too, so that if you dare... heh heh, I'll curse you!"
William choked on his water and said irritably, "Have some conscience, will you?"
Hermione, with a captivating smile, walked over, took William's cup, and drank all his water, leaving not a drop.
William stood up and took out his wand.
He decided to show Hermione, who had been becoming increasingly bold and outspoken lately, what it meant to "first arrive with a chilling glint, then unleash the club like a dragon."
Ten minutes later, Hermione was so exhausted that she couldn't stand up. William, on the other hand, seemed completely unaffected.
After showering and changing into clean clothes, the two lay sprawled on the living room sofa.
"What are you going to do with that Dementor?" Hermione asked, leaning on William's shoulder.
"We're already back in the United Kingdom. If we just leave it in the Safety Watch, won't the Dementor come knocking?"
That's right, there's only one week left before school starts.
They returned to London a week ago after finishing their trip to France.
To continue Hermione's training, William brought Anne to Hermione's house for a few days, ostensibly for "tutoring."
Anyway, nobody cared about them. Lyanna was away for a while, and the lab was left to the poor graduate students.
Now I need to take charge and make my presence felt.
Roy and Yilis have a ton of appointments back in the pipeline and are very busy lately.
"I hope we won't be discovered," William said uncertainly.
His research on Dementor is only just beginning.
Dementor can speak and even briefly communicate with wizards.
I just don't know how they communicate with each other. It can't be through telepathy or electromagnetic induction, can it?
But even electromagnetic wave induction cannot hand over the Dementor.
William's research revealed that the Dementor ' ability to fly was not due to their innate ability to fly, but rather to the black cloak they wore.
The cloak is an innate item, like the fur of Fantastic Beasts.
Therefore, Dementor are similar to Demiguise in some ways.
The Demiguise can become invisible because of its fur. Thanks to the special power of that fur, it can be used to weave Invisibility Cloak.
William's only thought now is to strip the Dementor's cloak and make it into Flying Cloak!
This is definitely Doctor Strange's Cloak of Levitation... no, it should be called Stark's Cloak of Levitation!
If that were truly possible, Dementor would likely transform from guardians into targets to be hunted extensively.
After all, without buying and selling, there would be no killing.
However, Dementor can never be completely eradicated; they are a renewable resource!
Just as William was thinking, Hermione suddenly got up, put on the boy's slippers, and ran towards her room.
A moment later, the girl ran back carrying a box in her arms.
She sat cross-legged on the sofa, opened the box, and revealed seven Winky gems.
"Should we deposit everything into the vault when we go to Diagon Alley later?" Hermione's eyes sparkled.
"I think I'll pass. I went back and checked, and also consulted with Nicolas and Dumbledore."
"This gem looks a lot like the lost Goblin Gems. If it's in the vault, the Goblin will definitely find it," William said helplessly.
Hermione thought about it seriously for a moment, then nodded vigorously like a chick pecking at rice!
"Yes, Goblin are greedy, and even the vault isn't safe. Remember the summer before last? We were attacked by You-Know-Who at the vault."
Hermione asked wistfully, "Then where should we hide it?"
"Where did you hide it before?" William asked, feigning ignorance.
"It's hidden under my bed!"
"You can still hide there," William laughed. "Under your bed is the safest place in the world."
Hermione nodded immediately, grinning; she thought so too.
The girl rolled her eyes and asked tentatively, "Such a valuable item, are you really entrusting it to me for safekeeping?"
"Of course," William said, suppressing a laugh. "Keep it safe and don't lose it; I'll give it to a girl later."
Shock, grievance, and sadness flashed across Hermione's face, until finally, she was on the verge of tears.
She pushed the box away, saying shamelessly, "... Fine, you can keep it yourself!"
William took the box and said regretfully, "Since someone doesn't want it, then forget it. I'll give it to Phoebe... she'll probably like it."
Hermione snatched the box back and hid it behind her back like a precious treasure.
William stared at Hermione's profile, gazing at her dimples, lost in thought.
After staying for more than an hour, the two left the Safety Watch and appeared in Hermione's room.
Hermione was startled because she had locked the door from the inside when she entered the Safety Watch.
I didn't expect there to be someone in the room!
Then, the two of them spotted Anne lying on Hermione's bed!
Anne lay horizontally on the bed, her head off the surface, dangling upside down.
She was holding a strange, thick book, reading it intently, humming a song, and her two slender, white legs were kicking happily back and forth.
Hermione sniffed... the room smelled of malt.
"Aaaaah!" she screamed.
"Anne, you're eating in my bed again?!"
Hermione pounced on her.
