Ariana's Deluminator
"Dumbledore, how was my performance today?"
Upon entering the office, the Sorting Hat, which had already been returned to the shelf, immediately asked.
"Very good, as always, a high standard, like a musical."
Did you know? Nicolas has told me many times that he desperately wants to include your singing in his Music Mirror playlist.
Day and night... on repeat.
"Really?" The Sorting Hat spoke with an air of "I'm an honest hat, don't lie to me."
"Of course," Dumbledore smile.
William suddenly realized why Dumbledore was able to become the headmaster after so many professors; there was a reason for it.
First, you need to thoroughly understand the Sorting Hat.
Master, he has understood!
"Look, have I gotten a tan? It's been a whole summer since I last saw you. The beaches in France are a bit hot," the Sorting Hat asked again.
Dumbledore squinted, scrutinizing the fabric through his crescent-shaped eyes for a moment, then shook his head and said, "No, the fabric has actually turned whiter."
"... Well, in France, it's normal for fabrics to turn white," the Sorting Hat muttered. "They all like white fabrics."
Anne clearly washed away the dust, but she insists on blaming France... The Sorting Hat is definitely a staunch anti-French figure.
"Sit down, William," Dumbledore said softly. "Would you like something to drink?"
"Just a Quirrell will do."
Dumbledore snapped his fingers, and a cup of coffee appeared on the table.
"So... did you bring it, William?"
Dumbledore touched the tips of his two long, slender fingers together, rested his chin on them, and looked expectantly at William through his half-moon spectacles.
William took out a gemstone and handed it over.
Dumbledore picked up the magnifying glass from the drawer, examined it for a moment, then tapped it a few times with his wand, a smile spreading across his face.
"It's the Goblin Gems, but I'm not Goblin. If you want to prove it..." Dumbledore blinked, then said excitedly, "I'll need some tools."
Dumbledore went to find the tools, while William stood up and walked towards Fawkes.
After several months, Fawkes's feathers had grown, and his entire body was bright red. However, he was still quite small.
It was sticking its rear end out, tilting its head, and trying hard to preen its short tail feathers.
William approached, and it immediately turned its head away, took two graceful steps, and acted as haughtily as a hen about to lay an egg.
William pulled out some squid ink treats to tease Fawkes, which Fox devoured in one gulp. After eating seven or eight pieces, William fanned the flames, saying:
"Fawkes, that Thunderbird has come right to our doorstep to provoke us."
Hogwarts is your territory, and it's clearly not giving you any face... I don't care, but are you sure you're not going to do anything about it? Show some of your phoenix-like majesty?"
Fawkes rolled his eyes and spat a mouthful of hot saliva at William.
William flicked his wand, bringing the ball of golden flame under control.
"Thank you for passing on the fire; I just need your flame," William said with a smile.
Dementor are immune to all kinds of magic, so William wanted to test if the phoenix's flames would work.
If it works, he might take Fawkes as Huowa to capture Dementor.
Seeing William standing there in a daze, Fawkes bent over again and began preening his feathers.
Magic: Flash!
William hooked his middle finger and flicked Fawkes's chicken rear end hard.
There was no way William could resist its cool pose!
I must say, it's quite bouncy.
Fawkes jumped up as if he'd been electrocuted, staring at William with an incredulous look!
That look was as if to say, "I'm dirty!"
Dumbledore finally emerged from the small room, holding a silver object that looked very much like a lighter.
"This is an alchemical artifact I invented, the Deluminator," Dumbledore, handing it to William.
William flicked his wrist, and the office lights were sucked away. Only the Goblin Gems continued to gleam in the room.
He bounced away again, and the lights were turned on again.
"We can absorb the light source and preserve it, or we can relight a extinguished light source," Dumbledore explained.
William nodded slightly.
This Deluminator is made with a high level of alchemy and is ingeniously designed. He really wouldn't know how it works inside unless he took it apart.
etc...
"This Deluminator functions similarly to the Goblin Gems?"
"That's right." Dumbledore sighed softly, "The inspiration for the Deluminator came from the Goblin Gems. I originally made it for a child."
In an instant, he seemed to remember something.
Godric's Hollow
The semi-wizard village, located in the southwest, is famous in the Wizarding World.
This is the birthplace of the great wizard Godric Gryffindor, and also the place where the wizarding goldsmith Bowman Wright crafted the first Golden Snitch.
The cemetery on one side of the valley is filled with the surnames of ancient wizarding families.
In a corner of the valley, a new family moved in— the Dumbledore family, whom the loud-voiced Muriel called the eccentric ones.
This family is indeed very strange. They hardly communicate with their neighbors and keep their doors closed all day... No one even knows how many people are in their family.
All I know is that there was a very outstanding child at Hogwarts Albus Dumbledore.
At the end of August,
night,
Albus's attic was spotless and orderly, with no superfluous decorations. Apart from various magic books, the walls were covered with certificates of merit and honors.
Every book on the bookshelf showed signs of being read, and there was even a whole stack of notes.
At that moment, he was meticulously writing a paper on parchment, which involved Cross-Species Transfiguration.
This article was submitted to "Transfiguration Today," and it's enough to earn him a Most Promising Newcomer Award.
Suddenly, a large goat burst through the door, carrying a teenager and an even younger girl with pigtails.
Albus slightly raised the corner of his eye, but ignored the two of them.
Aberforth, herding his goats, rampaged through the room, laughing and saying, "Ariana, we've arrived at Hogwarts! Time to get off the train!"
The boy jumped off the goat and gently carried the girl down on his back.
"Alright, let's begin the sorting process. Here's your dirty Sorting Hat."
Aberforth placed a wreath on Ariana's head. Soon after, she was sorted into Gryffindor.
After the "dinner" ended, Aberforth announced loudly, "We can go back to the Gryffindor Common Room to sleep, led by the Prefect."
He cleared his throat, gesturing to his brother who was still writing.
Albus had already grasped the crucial point and completely ignored his younger brother.
Aberforth shouted several times, then couldn't help but rush over, snatch the quill pen, and quickly drew more than a dozen crosses on the paper. Still not satisfied, he broke the quill pen in half.
Albus calmly waved his wand, and the marks on the paper disappeared, while the quill floated back intact.
"I'm going to take Ariana to school; she's eleven years old!" Aberforth suddenly said.
Albus put down his wand and scoffed, "You don't know Ariana's situation? Don't be ridiculous!"
Aberforth glared angrily, "Are we going to lock her up at home for the rest of her life?"
"That's still better than being imprisoned in St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries!"
"You know nothing and don't care about Ariana at all!" Aberforth roared.
He grabbed his brother's Prefect Badge from the table and threw it violently out the window.
Albus's lips moved as if he wanted to speak, but he shook his head without refuting.
Ariana, pale-faced, stared blankly out the window.
That year,
Albus fifteen years old.
Sister Ariana,
She just turned eleven.
