Hufflepuffs Are Secretly Passionate!
Due to historical reasons, the national conditions of the United States are completely different from those of the United Kingdom and even Europe.
It is a nation of immigrants, and in its early, chaotic state of society, there was no magical government of any kind.
Thus, a group of dark wizards from different countries formed a mercenary group called the Scourers.
Regardless of whether they are criminals or not, the Scourers will choose to hunt them down as long as they can earn a bounty.
Later, some Puritans left England and settled in North America.
They wanted to completely isolate wizards from this "new world," so they launched the "burn the witches" campaign.
The Scourers collaborated with the Puritans, and they began to sell witches. They even captured innocent Muggle and sold them as witches to the Puritans in exchange for payment.
The Scourers's most infamous act was orchestrating the Salem Witch Trials Tragedy in 1692.
This incident resulted in the execution of 20 people, most of whom were women.
As a result of the Salem Witch Trials, the official Magical Congress was established in 1693 to purge these Scourers.
After a long struggle, the Scourers failed and went underground, even infiltrating the Muggle government and the Magical Congress to continue their more covert battles.
Therefore, among all the countries, the Magical Congress of the United States of America is the only one that does not cooperate with the Muggle government.
The two sides were even in a state of hostility at one point.
In the United States, if someone does something wrong, they can simply blame it on racial discrimination or shift the blame to the Scourers and that's it.
Professor Babbling's Transfiguration are very strong. When she attacked, she probably deliberately revealed her face, transforming into a wizard to mislead the Ministry of Magic into believing she was the Scourers.
Since it was the Scourers Qian who brought it, then it's very likely that they captured that Thunderbird.
In any case, the Magical Congress of the United States of America reached this conclusion after discussion.
This is also why Picquery came to the United Kingdom; she hoped to find clues about the Thunderbird.
"Mr. Stark, I need your help. You once fought that Thunderbird in France."
I'd like to know if you have any way to find it.
"The Thunderbird wasn't captured by the Scourers at all; it was recently spotted in the United Kingdom," William had to explain.
"What... sir... I didn't understand..."
"That Thunderbird fled from Newt on its own initiative. Not long ago, it attacked the Hogwarts Express and then moved into the Forbidden Forest." William shrugged.
"Is it still in the Forbidden Forest?" Picquery asked anxiously.
"He's gone. It seems he's left and hasn't been seen for a long time."
How did you know?
"Fire Kiss told me... by a silly Centaur woman," William said.
"Could you take me to speak with her?" Picquery asked. "I'd like to ask about the details."
William frowned and said, "You really don't understand Centaur. They're very xenophobic and don't like interacting with wizards, let alone unfamiliar wizards."
"Then how did you communicate with the Centaur?" Picquery asked, puzzled.
"I'm not an adult yet; to them, I'm just a harmless little pony."
But for a woman in her twenties like you... getting close to them could very well result in an attack.
Therefore, I refuse your unreasonable request.
William's words were utterly shameless. The "little foal" he referred to were children who needed protection... Did William need protection?!
Anyway, none of the Centaur considered him a foal.
Meanwhile, Picquery, standing to the side, felt a faint sense of being cursed in his chest.
A woman in her twenties... an auntie?!
Who are you talking about?
Who is the auntie?
She took a deep breath and exclaimed, "Don't you want to save Mr. Scamander?"
"Dumbledore will negotiate. In fact, the United Kingdom Ministry of Magic and the French Ministry of Magic are already putting pressure on them, but you're holding them captive," William retorted.
"Besides, Newt agreed to escort the Thunderbird on behalf of the French Ministry of Magic, and he also informed the United States in advance."
You have no reason to continue detaining him; on the contrary, you failed to protect his personal property, resulting in the loss of his belongings.
Compensation is required!
The situation in the United States is complicated right now, and William doesn't want to have too much interaction with United States wizards, otherwise it would affect Professor Babbling's plans.
Especially since this witch in front of me is someone who came to the United Kingdom secretly and is essentially an unregistered, unlicensed individual. There's no need to pay her any attention.
The witch was somewhat annoyed.
William ignored her, took Hermione's hand, and turned to leave.
After walking a short distance, William suddenly turned his head and said:
"By the way, what is your relationship with Ms. Seraphina Picquery, the former president of the Magical Congress of the United States of America?"
"I... I'm her niece!" Picquery said sternly.
"Oh." William couldn't help but laugh. "Did she send you?"
"No... she didn't know," Picquery argued.
William's smile grew even wider.
Seraphina Picquery served as president of the Magical Congress of the United States of America from 1920 to 1928.
During Seraphina's tenure as president, Grindelwald entered New York to search for the Obscurial. Newt was also sent to United States by Dumbledore to conduct a covert investigation.
Following the New York incident, Seraphina faced immense pressure and listed the Thunderbird as a protected species.
With Newt's help, she also amended the law to expand the scope of protection to include all Fantastic Beasts in North America.
Rita wrote a biography of Newt Scamander a few years ago:
"Is He Human or Beast? The True Face of Newt Scamander"
The book describes Newt as "a heartless conman who dumped Seraphina Picquery."
Newt criticized Rita in various ways. But now it seems that Rita wasn't entirely talking nonsense.
At least Seraphina seems to care about Newt.
Sure enough, Newt may look honest, but he's actually incredibly horny and has a heart that longs for more.
Just like Cedric... the first time he saw Cho, he cried and begged William to be his wingman.
Honest? (Just kidding!)
A reserved yet passionate nature... that's the defining characteristic of Hufflepuff's little wizards.
Just as William and Hermione were about to reach the intersection, Picquery suddenly called out, "Mr. Stark, wait a minute!"
"Yes, please go ahead."
"Do you know an Ancient Runes professor named Targaryen?" Picquery asked.
"Hmm... never heard of that before." William turned around and shook his head, feigning ignorance.
Is he your teacher?
"No, he's a professor applying for a position at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I met him once." Picquery hesitated for a moment.
He said:
"He looks a lot like you... except he's considerably older, and you share about 70-80% similarity in appearance!"
"How can they be so similar?" William exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes, but he has a much better temper than you, and he's very charming. You two are definitely not the same person!" Picquery scoffed.
William shrugged.
I wonder what Picquery's expression would be if he knew that the "Professor Targaryen" he spoke of was actually the "Scourers" who attacked France.
I'm so excited!
He thought this to himself, but sighed aloud:
"I never imagined that my handsome face wouldn't be unique. What a pity."
When I have time, I'll go and meet this Professor Targaryen to see how handsome and charming he is.
Hermione couldn't help but chuckle. Others might not know the truth, but she did. After praising everyone else, she still ended up praising herself.
William waved and said, "Goodbye, young Miss Picquery."
Picquery stood still, not following them. She watched their retreating figures, lost in thought.
The two had just crossed the intersection when Hermione suddenly pointed to the crowd and said, "William, look, who's that?"
William followed the gaze and saw three familiar figures walking out of the ice cream shop.
Each of them carried a thick chocolate ice cream cone and had bags of snacks slung over their shoulders. They walked unsteadily, looking incredibly happy.
"Anne!!" William shouted.
Anne turned her head and saw William and Hermione. She gasped, her face instantly turning bright red, and cried out in alarm, "Run!"
Anne, Luna, and Ginny turned and ran.
The snacks on my body
Clang!
