Only Time Can Defeat Time
The Book of Abraham, a legendary Book of Alchemy, is Nicolas's most important magical artifact.
There is none other than this!
He used this Deathly Hallows to create the Philosopher's Stone, thus living for six hundred years.
Even among the nine Deathly Hallows, which are diverse in type and style, this Book of Alchemy ranks among the most practical.
According to the Tale of the Three Brothers, the eldest brother's requirement was: a book containing all the Alchemy in the world.
This book truly contains everything.
It is divided into three volumes in total.
The first volume contains the crafting methods for all alchemical items in the Wizarding World.
It's like an invisible cloud; whenever you invent an alchemical item, it will automatically save and back it up here.
The so-called secrecy of core technologies is a joke in the face of this book.
The second volume contains the method for crafting the Deathly Hallows.
Once unlocked, you can create Deathly Hallows like the Death Reaper.
The third volume will feature alchemical items that have never existed before.
It will provide the refining method as long as you make a request.
But the key point is that the seventh page of the first set and the seventh page of the second set respectively depict a giant python devouring a magic wand and a goblet.
Without the wand and goblet, the contents of the next two sets cannot be seen.
Nicolas must collect all three Deathly Hallows before he can fully study this book.
Tom is searching for Slytherin's Wand; Nicolas has also found a clue about the goblet, the Holy Grail.
But he did not force his way to it, because before Merlin disappeared, he left behind a Prophecy maxim:
You don't need to look for the Holy Grail Holy Grail; it will come to you.
Nicolas is rather superstitious about this kind of thing.
Just like the dream that guided him to the Book of Alchemy back then.
When most people dream of strange things, they might reminisce about it briefly the next day, but then completely forget about it.
But after eating breakfast, he didn't spend much time making a decisive decision that would change his life.
As for the hooded wizard in the dream, who exactly was he? Nicolas had no way of knowing.
He could only guess that it was either the previous holder of the book, Abraham, or Death himself.
William was more inclined to believe in Death, because if it were Abraham, there was no reason for him to find Nicolas, a France.
If it's Death, then another question arises: why would he guide Nicolas to the Book of Alchemy?
Why does Death keep sending out the Deathly Hallows in batches?
It can be said that, with the spread of the Tale of the Three Brothers, the shadow of Death has always been present for thousands of years.
What exactly is he trying to do?
This matter, much like why Ravenclaw destroyed the Diadem, is difficult to ascertain the truth of.
Unless one day William is able to stand before Death and Ravenclaw, he can ask them himself:
What exactly is your reason?
After leaving the laboratory, William walked alone along the path back to his room.
After pushing open the door, he found Hermione inside.
She was sitting at the table, already asleep with her head resting on it, her slender shoulders slumped, and soft snoring could be heard; she must have been exhausted.
Hermione was indeed very tired during this time, as she had to use the Time-Turner to study a large number of subjects.
Occasionally, she helps William deal with Potions, and amidst her busy schedule, she also helps Hagrid prepare his defense.
Almost every day is filled with high-intensity work.
Crookshanks guard nearby, secretly playing with Bobosha's cat toy.
Upon seeing William arrive, it quickly stopped its unseemly activity and continued to maintain its aloof and sullen expression.
As for Bobocha and Bobosha, they've disappeared somewhere for a night out.
William quietly moved a chair over and sat down next to Hermione, watching her neatly put away her homework after she finished writing it.
Under her arms was an unfinished piece of parchment, and in front of her was an open book.
William looked down and saw "A Study into Hippogriff Brutality"—an introduction to the unique characteristics of winged beasts.
William withdrew his gaze and carefully examined the girl who had patiently waited for his return.
Hermione had probably fallen asleep by accident; she was only wearing a sweater she had knitted herself, with her thick coat hanging on the back of the chair.
Although the room was warm, it was a deep winter night with a huge temperature difference between day and night, so she subconsciously hugged her arms tightly when she slept, probably because she was a little cold.
William sighed, waved his wand, and his wool coat floated down from the rack. He carefully draped it over her shoulders.
"William," Hermione murmured softly.
William thought he had woken the girl up, so he hummed in response, but received no reply.
He was talking in his sleep.
William carefully pulled the parchment from under her arm.
In the stillness of the night, only Hermione's breathing and the soft rustling of a quill pen across parchment could be heard.
William flipped through the unfinished book, continuing to write her defense.
After he started writing, his handwriting was very different from Hermione's.
Hermione's imitation of William's handwriting was remarkably similar, about 70-80% accurate. Therefore, she often replied to his letters casually.
When William finished reading the book, he looked up and realized it was almost eleven o'clock.
He packed everything up, ready to carry Hermione back to her room.
Crookshanks remained quietly crouched to the side, his eyes revealing an unfathomable depth.
She looked exactly like Hermione.
It stared at William, as if reminding him not to take the opportunity to do anything strange.
"Silly cat!" William scoffed and whispered, "Hagrid has a three-headed dog named Fluffy. I'll introduce you to him next time; he'll definitely like you."
Crookshanks rolled its ears into a flat, frilly shape, making its persimmon-like face even uglier. It licked its paws again and yawned listlessly.
Damn it, I actually got looked down upon by a cat!
William swept Hermione up in his arms, her slender waist bent over, her head pressed against William's chest.
Hermione, who hadn't slept soundly, suddenly felt herself being picked up. She groggily opened her eyes and exclaimed joyfully, "William... you're back!"
"Hmm." William didn't put the girl down, but said softly, "It's late, shall I take you back to your room to sleep?"
Hermione shook her head, rubbed her eyes, and forced herself to stay awake, asking with concern, "How is it? Is the Diadem repaired?"
Since Hermione didn't want to sleep, William picked her up and carried her to his bed, where he placed her on it.
Hermione rolled lazily on the soft bed, hugged the headboard pillow, and curled up like a kitten.
William sat on the edge of the bed and told her about the Diadem.
After listening, Hermione rested her head on the cushion, her messy hair hanging down, and frowned slightly.
"But we have no idea where Slytherin's Wand is, do we?"
"So, we can only watch Tom's show then." William shrugged helplessly.
That's right, Tom is now the hope of the whole village!
He also disliked this passive situation, but that was reality.
"Hmm... this isn't safe at all, and we can't be sure if we can get the wand back from him." Hermione squinted, drowsiness washing over her again.
We need a Plan B.
As she racked her brains for a solution, feeling the Time-Turner digging into her neck, a sudden inspiration struck her.
"William, I've got a great idea!" she exclaimed happily.
What method?
"Perhaps we can use the Time-Turner!" Hermione said slowly.
William paused, then suddenly realized that the feasibility seemed very high.
The essence of the Time-Turner is that it contains a stable Hour-Reversal Charm.
At that time, Tywin used the stolen power of the Time-Turner to access the Ravenclaw Common Room door knocker, thus obtaining the ring.
William also copied the contents of Tywin's "Three Books of Occult Philosophy".
With his current abilities, he could easily use this power to forcibly restore the Diadem to its original state.
Only time can defeat time!
"But we don't have Time-Turner," William said. "Yours has to be returned to the Ministry of Magic."
The Time-Turner are kept in the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic, and are simply impossible for ordinary people to obtain.
"Then let's go steal... alright." Hermione was getting sleepier, yawned, and mumbled sleepily, "It's not like we haven't attacked the Ministry of Magic before..."
"..."
William was about to say something when Hermione, leaning against the pillows, was already sound asleep, snoring softly.
William stood up and carefully removed the Time-Turner from her neck, placing it on the bedside table.
She covered Hermione with a thick blanket, carefully tucking in the corners to prevent her from moving around in her sleep.
After finishing all that, William prepared to take off his clothes and go to sleep.
etc...
Hermione is sleeping in his bed, so where will he sleep tonight?
