The World's Biggest Bullshxxter
A surprise is called a surprise because it must contain both shock and joy.
The joy is simple... William discovers that the cause of Harry and the others' deaths is not so simple.
It's not as simple as... Krum killed Ron, Harry sought revenge, and the two died together—a cliché story.
William loves things that are challenging.
For example, the Tywin incident in the first year was very challenging.
It wasn't just because William was still very weak at the time; more importantly, the matter was very complicated.
Tywin used the Time-Turner multiple times, including with Polyjuice Potion, and killed himself.
It balances drama and complexity, and understanding the whole story requires strong reasoning and logical abilities.
In other words, that's the domain of Kogoro Mouri, the famous detective of the Reiwa era.
What William thought would be a simple death has unexpectedly taken an unexpected turn.
This made him find it much more interesting.
But this joy... quickly turned into surprise... and even fear, as William pondered it carefully.
The moment William saw the House-elf, he realized that he, and even Dumbledore, had overlooked an important issue.
House-elf have free access to Hogwarts.
Unlike wizards, House-elf ' magic is an independent system.
Although Hogwarts has Anti-Apparition Charm, it is ineffective against House-elf.
Just look at Dobby; he was able to roam freely around the school years ago.
The House-elf at Hogwarts also need to clean the various rooms.
If they couldn't Apparition, they would have been discovered long ago.
Even the deliverymen at Akali's Mystery Shop deliver packages this way, freely entering and leaving the school.
This also presents a fatal safety hazard.
If they can get in, they can also take people out without anyone noticing.
William was quite surprised when he heard that Krum and Harry had died together in Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom.
How did Krum manage to escape the maze after killing Ron?
Keep in mind that the maze was surrounded by students, and professors patrolled the area. Later, Auror also joined in.
If he leaves the maze, there's no way he can escape being discovered.
Now that we see Krum being taken away by Winky, the mystery may be solved.
But then another question arises: is this Krum who was taken away... really Krum?
William recognized the House-elf, Winky, at a glance.
After Crouch's death, whether he liked it or not, his estate was inherited by his rebellious son Barty Crouch Jr..
Winky could only obey Barty Crouch Jr., no matter what orders he gave.
According to his and Hermione's analysis, Barty Crouch Jr.. has already met with Voldemort.
The appearance of Winky must be on Barty Crouch Jr.'s orders.
He had no reason to take Krum... so it was more likely that he took Harry instead.
Perhaps Harry had switched places with Krum beforehand, just like William and Hermione, and used Polyjuice Potion.
Of course, there are other possibilities, but whatever they are, they only prove one thing... Harry ended up at Hogwarts.
It's highly likely that they've already been brought before Voldemort and killed.
The problem is... William needs to find out the cause of Harry's death.
But this kid didn't die at Hogwarts... how do we investigate?
It's important to understand that William has no way of leaving Hogwarts Castle.
If he fails to achieve his goal, he will be trapped in a time loop forever.
Snap... The happiness is gone.
But it's not entirely without a solution.
William was immediately reminded of the Lady of the Lake.
She said she could help William break the Ravenclaw spell, which would be enough to get him out of Hogwarts.
It sounded very appealing. But William's intuition told him that the deal wouldn't be so easy.
But if you don't do it, you can't escape the cycle of time.
Being scammed versus being unable to leave... which is more important? It's not a difficult choice.
This is somewhat like that fatal multiple-choice question:
Your girlfriend is dead, and the only way to bring her back to life is to have a one-night stand with your ex-girlfriend... So, will you have sex or not?
"I won't save you! Because you don't even have an ex-girlfriend!"
Walking down the corridors of Hogwarts, Hermione told William this with absolute certainty.
"That's just hypothetical..." William tried to make a last-ditch effort.
"What if..." Hermione raised an eyebrow, her gaze dangerous.
"Does that mean I'm your ex-girlfriend? Humph, do you think you'll have a chance to find a new girlfriend after dumping me?"
William was immediately struck by a cold sweat.
Fortunately, this is during a time loop, so Hermione won't remember any of the fatal questions he asks.
They won't be held accountable later.
Phew, that was close.
Let's not talk about such dangerous topics next time.
The two went up the stairs, heading towards the North Tower.
That is, Professor Trelawney's Divination Classroom.
But their target wasn't that old housewife Trelawney, but Sir Cadogan.
This was one of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, a wizard from Merlin's era.
He must know a lot about Vivian, the Lady of the Lake.
William felt he should learn more about the Lady of the Lake before making a deal with her.
This is similar to blind dating; you need to know about the girl before deciding whether to treat her or split the bill.
At this moment, the two were climbing the eighth flight of stairs and arrived at a platform. There was nothing there except a large painting hanging on the stone wall, depicting a grassland.
A plump, dark gray pony had just casually jumped onto the grass and was grazing nonchalantly.
After a while, a short, stout knight in armor entered the scene, making a clanging sound, searching for his pony.
Judging from the grass stains on his metal knees, he had just fallen off his horse.
Looks like my riding skills aren't very good!
William is an expert in this area.
"Aha!" Sir Cadogan cried out.
He saw William and Hermione and roared, "Who are you scoundrels to trespass on my private property?"
Are they mocking my carelessness?
Draw your sword!
You scoundrels, you dogs!
Sir Cadogan's speech was refined and easygoing, much like someone from Zaun.
He drew his sword from its sheath and began to swing it wildly, leaping and bounding about in a rage.
But the sword was too long for him, and the extremely wide-ranging attack caused him to lose his balance.
So he used a move called "Wild Geese Descending on the Sandbank with Their Buttocks Facing Backwards".
Cadogan grabbed the sword again and used it to support himself as he got up, but the sword was deeply embedded in the grass.
Despite his best efforts, he couldn't pull it out.
Finally, he had to sit down on the grass with a thud, push up his visor, and wipe his sweaty face.
"Are you sure this person is really one of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table?" Hermione asked skeptically.
"I always felt he was Don Quixote. Anyway, one is a historical figure, and the other is a legend... it doesn't really matter."
William shrugged.
So this is the kind of trash King Arthur had under his command... Merlin probably wasn't much better.
It seems Merlin is the world's number one braggart.
