Ron and Ginny's quarrel
William reviewed the application list repeatedly, but still felt there were too many applicants.
But in Anne's words, "There's not much left; half of it has already been sifted out."
Among the initial applicants were not only first-year wizards, but also students from other houses.
They're all here for William, because he's become Ravenclaw Quidditch Team and will be in charge of the entire selection process.
This is a rare opportunity for close contact.
It seems we still need to train a Quidditch vice-captain... but William just wants to be a hands-off manager right now, letting a bunch of secretaries do the work for him.
The question is... I'm just too lazy to move!
After breakfast, William woke Hermione and then led the team toward the Quidditch pitch.
Despite Anne's extensive screening process, eliminating unqualified wizards, the Quidditch field was still packed with students.
How many people are there in the entire Ravenclaw house? The number of students who came to participate in the selection is almost twice that of Ravenclaw.
A large portion of them were women, making the male-to-female ratio in Ravenclaw appear extremely unbalanced.
Suddenly, I had the feeling that I was the only boy in the entire nursing program.
"Anyone who isn't Ravenclaw student, please leave." William's voice, amplified by magic, echoed throughout the Quidditch Pitch.
With a wave of his hand, the veteran team members began to maintain order and clear the area.
A group of female students laughed so hard they bent over, pulling and tugging at each other as they squeezed through the crowd.
They weren't there to cause trouble, nor did they want to participate in the competition; they simply wanted to get a closer look at William.
There were also those who wanted to cause trouble, such as Astoria, who buried seven or eight Dungbomb on the playground in an attempt to sabotage the selection process.
What evil could a little green snake from Slytherin possibly have?
However, before she could carry out her terrorist attack, Daphne reported her.
William pulled the little girl out and hung her from the hoop with Levicorpus kick for two minutes before she finally behaved.
In fact, while the selection process is called talent selection, most of the Ravenclaw players have already been chosen internally.
Only some of the veteran players have left the team, such as former captain Davies; the core of last year's championship-winning team is still there.
These veteran players don't need any adjustment period; their teamwork is excellent, and their mentality has matured significantly after experiencing several finals.
Of course, fresh blood is also important.
There are always some students with exceptional talent who, with a little nurturing, can become instant combatants.
Besides, a team that only has veteran players will eventually become stagnant.
Once William's group of students graduates, the team is likely to decline immediately and become a fourth-rate team again.
This is not what William wanted to see.
Standing in the stands, Angelina looked serious as she observed the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team's abilities.
Only after becoming the team leader did I realize how much pressure there was.
The pressure came from all sides, the greatest of which was from Professor McGonagall.
At the start of the semester, the professor had a long talk with her, and his words hinted at something:
We must win the championship!
The year before last was the most hopeful year, and this year is the last hope, because the twins and Angelina are about to graduate.
To ensure this success, Angelina even wrote to Wood to learn from his experience as a team leader.
Wood, after all, a professional athlete. Even though he's still on the bench, he's still a professional player.
Wood's reply was simple, "Devil training, relentless exploitation!"
Wood suggested that she get up at five o'clock every morning and have everyone do a five-kilometer weighted cross-country run.
They woke the team members up in the middle of the night to train their willpower.
Is this really our captain?
If this continues for another six months... the team will probably be ruined, even if it doesn't disband.
Hermione also came to watch the selection, but she wasn't particularly interested and instead lay in Anne's arms to catch up on her sleep.
Anne and Luna watched "The Quibbler" together and discussed those toxic motivational quotes.
Ginny watched for a while, then stood in the audience and shouted, "Go Michael! You're the best!"
Ron seemed very nervous, his face was extremely pale, and he was chatting with Harry.
He wanted to participate in the selection this afternoon, but he didn't know if he would be chosen.
Harry gave perfunctory replies, but his eyes remained fixed on Cho in the arena.
She rode the Starbrusher One, flying in circles... How beautiful!
Harry stared, his eyes wide with amazement.
Harry didn't want to talk, but Ginny kept shouting, which annoyed Ron, so he said irritably, "What's wrong with Ginny? Who 'Michael?"
Does anyone know, Anne, do you know?
When Anne heard the question, she looked up and said:
"The dark-skinned one, Ginny's dating him, didn't you know?"
Ron froze, flipping through his book, when suddenly the pages were torn to shreds.
"What?" Ron's ears looked like two raw beef rolls, and his tone was somewhat exasperated.
"She's in a relationship. My sister's in a relationship. What did you say? In a relationship with Michael Corner?"
"Yeah, otherwise why would Ginny cheer for his Corner?"
Anne gave him a strange look.
Ron looked toward the stadium and spotted Michael, who was there for the Ravenclaw tryouts and was pestering William for an autograph.
"I don't like him," Ron said without hesitation.
Anne and Luna exchanged a glance.
Luna squinted and said:
"This really surprises us... You didn't even know Michael before, what did he do to offend you?"
"I just don't like it!" Ron shouted. "Ginny can't date him, I'm her brother, I won't allow it..."
Ron's voice was too loud; Ginny heard him yelling and turned around, saying rudely:
"Come on, Ron, you're my brother, not my father."
I have six older brothers, and neither George nor Fred interfered with who I hung out with. What's it to you?!
"I..." Ron was at a loss for words. After thinking for a moment, he asked nitpickingly, "Is his academic performance good?"
"He's in the same grade as you, and he was fifth in the grade last year. Anyway, he's better than you!" Ginny mocked.
"He is Ravenclaw..."
"What's wrong with Ravenclaw? Luna is Ravenclaw, and so is William! All the girls like him!"
Ron huffed, "I don't like him anyway!"
"I'm finding a boyfriend for myself, not for you, so I don't need you to like him!" Ginny said angrily.
Ron was put in a bad position by the retort, while Ginny remained quiet and treated him very well.
Ron thought his words would have an effect, but he didn't expect this to happen.
He had no choice but to change tactics, muttering, "I'm doing this for your own good... You're only fourteen, and you're already dating."
Let me recommend a novel app I've been using recently. It supports both Android and Apple phones!
I want to write a letter to my mother...
"Fine, hurry up and write it, or you're not Weasley!" Ginny said angrily, exposing Ron's dirty secrets.
"What good deeds have you done? Being late,"
Copying homework, fighting... driving Dad's car, almost causing him to lose his job... borrowing a lot of pocket money, and now the twins want you to pay it back...
Ginny rambled on and on, saying a lot of things.
Ron snapped, "Shut up!"
"No way! It's none of your business!" Ginny wiped away her tears and ran away crying.
Ron sat in the chair and murmured:
"How could this happen? She's always liked Harry..."
The arguing woke Hermione up too. She shook her head and explained:
"Ginny used to like Harry, but she gave up on him a few months ago."
Harry didn't speak; his mind was still full of Cho's image, and he wasn't very interested in the topic.
But Ron was practically trembling with rage.
It seems to Ginny being in a relationship is some heinous crime.
Luna suddenly looked up and said incisively:
No wonder the twins knew about this, but Ginny didn't tell you.
She knows you'll explode if she hears that... You're being way too nosy.
Ron was about to retort, but Hermione and the other two had already stood up and gone to comfort Ginny.
Ron clenched his fists and cursed Michael Corner loudly, as if everything was his fault.
Harry sighed inwardly:
"I never knew Ron had this sister complex. Luckily, I didn't date Ginny, or I might be dead one night."
That was close!
