What You Can't Have Is Always on Your Mind
Although he was a tiny bit late, Sirius finally arrived at Hogwarts.
He successfully met Anne, encountered Dumbledore, and chatted about life with Lupin had rushed over upon hearing the news.
Finally, he wandered around Hogwarts one last time... and met his foolish godson.
Sirius was very excited after not seeing Harry for a year. He grabbed Harry, gave him an old CD, and told him to listen to his bromance with James back then.
Coincidentally, Harry was also eager to talk to Sirius about the topic of "Father".
How urgent is it?
He started to feel completely disoriented.
It wasn't because Voldemort was seducing him all night, keeping him up at night... though that was part of it, but the deeper reason was Snape.
During the Easter holidays, Harry, as usual, went to Snape's office to receive his daily dose of torment.
In Harry's words:
"That was excruciating torture... Snape was like a stick, he would brutally enter my brain and stir it up."
No matter how much I struggled, I couldn't resist and was forced to accept it.
Using Legilimency crudely will indeed produce this effect.
But when Harry described it, something just didn't feel right.
Anyway, one day during the Easter holidays, Harry went to endure this torment again.
Snape had to leave for a few minutes, while Harry, in his office, saw a Pensieve.
Driven by curiosity, he plunged inside.
Harry's original goal was to find evidence of Snape's crimes.
But instead, he saw images of his father being bullied at school.
Back then, James, who was the same age as Harry, took off Snape's white and black underwear in front of all the students...
A man whose underwear is pulled down in public generally faces only two outcomes:
I can't find a girlfriend anymore;
I'll never lack girlfriends again.
Professor Snape was clearly the former.
Harry watched the commotion, only to find out that it was his own house that had collapsed; you can imagine how he felt.
Most importantly, he has always believed that:
Although I am unbalanced in some subjects, sometimes copy homework, don't study very hard, and have even been particularly irritable in the past year... I am still a great guy.
He wouldn't do something so outrageous.
Even the most mischievous twins wouldn't humiliate a classmate like that in public.
Even if that person is Malfoy.
Harry always firmly believed that his parents were outstanding people.
Snape's claims that James Potter was "arrogant" and "conceited" were nothing but malicious slander and defamation.
But based on what Harry saw, Snape was not only right, but also used a more subtle approach.
What Harry found most unacceptable was seeing his mother, Lily, defending Snape and stopping James's actions.
James, however, acted like a devoted admirer, trying to get Lily to go on dates with him.
Lily not only refused, but also expressed her disgust for James without him.
Harry couldn't understand how they ended up getting married.
He even suspected that James might have forced Lily... to give her an aphrodisiac.
Harry was the only one who didn't see Professor Snape's medicine pantry, filled with so many letters addressed to Lily.
Otherwise, he might even suspect that he was actually... Snape's son.
Sirius never expected that his rare trip back to Hogwarts would result in him having to provide psychological counseling for Harry.
But Sirius's explanation clearly failed to convince Harry.
He had no choice but to ask William for help.
William convinced Harry with just a few words:
Even if Lily dislikes James now, she will like James sooner or later.
"Harry, look, Cho doesn't seem to like you anymore, and she's with Cedric now?"
Harry was very upset, but he still nodded.
"But do you firmly believe that your efforts (being a simp) will eventually move Qiu and make her understand who truly loves her?"
"So, will Qiu break up with Cedric and then be with you?"
"Yes!!" That's what Harry has always thought, and he's been working towards it.
"Look, isn't James ' situation similar to yours, or even better?"
After all, Lily didn't have a boyfriend at that time, while Qiu did.
Harry felt a little hurt; William had successfully broken his defenses.
William patted him on the shoulder and said, "But that's what you keep thinking, believing you'll succeed and be with Qiu."
Why can't you believe that James and Lily can be together?
"..."
Harry was speechless for a moment, thinking it made a damn good point.
At the same time, he also strengthened his resolve to follow the Dao:
"If my father could succeed, then I, who am not as mischievous as him (an honest person), will surely succeed too."
A quick plug for an app: A perfect replica of the old version of the popular book-tracking app with source switching capabilities.
William smiled slightly, basking in Sirius's admiring gaze.
As the Far Eastern wizard Master Lu said:
Only a simp can defeat a simp.
However, while William could counsel Harry, he couldn't counsel Snape.
Anyway, the professor only said one thing:
"I can't teach Potter, let him die!"
It's a good idea!
Dumbledore learned of this but did not try to salvage the situation.
At the beginning of the semester, William had talked to him about this... about making a mistake that older people often make:
Some wounds are too deep to heal easily. He thought Snape could overcome his hatred for James.
But Snape is still young, only in his thirties... He won't be as open-minded or able to let go as an old man.
Snape was unwilling to teach Harry anymore, Dumbledore didn't let anyone else teach him either.
You can teach it, but it's not necessary.
Snape had already explained the basics to Harry; aside from a lack of talent, Harry's problem was simply a lack of effort in his studies.
William and Dumbledore waiting for Harry to make a mistake and be lured to that particular stage by Voldemort.
Only by making mistakes and experiencing pain can one gain enlightenment and grow.
William has destroyed most of the Horcrux. Although it is unknown how many Voldemort actually made, there probably aren't many left.
This process far exceeded Dumbledore's expectations.
Harry's growth in "courage" is too slow; if this continues, he won't even be able to grasp that sliver of hope.
It can only be said that Harry's experiences, whether it was the Philosopher's Stone, the Chamber of Secrets, etc., were mostly nurtured in the "greenhouse" he deliberately built.
Even if something unexpected happens, William will use the Ravenclaw Ring to make it disappear without a trace.
Dumbledore decided to let Harry truly experience despair.
After Easter,
Sixth-grade students, who had enjoyed a leisurely holiday without the pressure of exams, suddenly became nervous.
Because a new notice has been posted on the bulletin board announcing the date of the Apparition Test.
Before the first exam (April 21), students who are 17 years of age or older can register to attend special training at Hogsmeade (under strict supervision).
Many people panicked after seeing the notice, because they didn't know Apparition.
The young wizards paid close attention in the following Apparition Class.
However, most students still cannot master it.
Many people attribute this failure to the teacher's lack of professionalism.
But with the arrival of the teachers sent by the Ministry of Magic, the students became even more desperate.
They discovered that the school professors taught better.
Qiu has made great progress.
Because of the Easter holiday, she had been practicing Apparition with Cedric.
She is now allowed to appear in Hogsmeade.
Their relationship continued to grow stronger.
Despite William's attempts to comfort Harry, he clearly had no hope.
Harry isn't as good as Cedric, and he's not even as hardworking (sucking up to his goddess).
Meanwhile, Ginny, Harry's former die-hard fan, fulfilled her promise made before the start of the term:
She quickly changed boyfriends three times.
The triple kill is now complete!
Nourished by love, she became increasingly confident, and smiled like a flower every day.
This undoubtedly caught the attention of the lecherous Harry... although his attention was still more focused on Cho, whom he couldn't have.
After all, what you can't have is always what you yearn for.
