As a minister who once stood at the pinnacle of power in the Wizarding World, Fudge never imagined that one day he would become a prisoner.
As the saying goes, one thought can lead to heaven, and another to Inferno... that's exactly it.
Even Dumbledore, he still thought that even if he lost, he could get away unscathed.
Being a director or a minor department head is certainly possible.
At worst, he could just leave the Ministry of Magic and go home to live a life of leisure and wealth.
Anyway, I've made enough money over the years.
Malfoy, in particular, gave him a large "donation".
But Fudge never expected that Rita would know everything about his little secret.
And they all went on to publish in the Daily Prophet.
Public opinion was outraged, and many people reported him for violating regulations.
This is probably a classic case of everyone kicking someone when they're down.
Fudge remained relatively calm; political struggles are just that brutal.
The winner takes everything, the loser gets nothing.
But what Fudge didn't expect was:
Umbridge, who had promoted him from humble beginnings and entrusted him with important responsibilities... would suddenly betray him at such a time.
That's right... this trial was orchestrated by Umbridge.
After Fudge was impeached and removed from office, she, as deputy minister, temporarily assumed the ministerial position according to procedure.
However, on the very day Umbridge took office, he was impeached by Wizengamot and completely sidelined, with his decrees reliant on the Minister's Office.
She suffered the same fate as Fudge.
Unexpectedly, before the impeachment results were announced, Umbridge suddenly decided to put Fudge on trial.
She was willing to appear in court as a witness to convict Fudge;
He was even willing to resign his ministerial post, admit his guilt, accept punishment, and buy time to fight the Death Eaters.
What kind of spirit is this?
For a moment, everyone was stunned.
What could Wizengamot say, and what could the Ministry of Magic officials say, given that Umbridge had stated it?
The impeachment process is still pending, and everyone is eager for her to step down so that a new minister can be elected.
The ministry was naturally pleased that Umbridge was so self-aware, and might even have given her lenient treatment.
Thus, the trial, which should have taken place after the new minister was elected, was brought forward.
At the same time, dozens of wizards received invitations from Wizengamot to participate as witnesses in this unprecedented trial by two ministers.
Dumbledore will definitely go; he has returned to Wizengamot and resumed his position as Chief Wizard, and he needs to preside over this trial.
Several Hogwarts professors also received invitations, attesting to Fudge's refusal to send Auror when the You-Know-Who was resurrected.
Needless to say, William was definitely on the invitation list.
Even Hermione needs to be present to confirm Umbridge's crimes in Vienna.
The news caused an uproar throughout Hogwarts.
For Fudge, the students didn't have much ill will towards him, but they truly loathed Umbridge.
The trial is about to begin, and everyone wants to witness this history firsthand.
He was even willing to testify in court, accusing Umbridge, that old toad, of... abusing students.
I wish she were dead!

Ancient Runes Office
William sat on the sofa, gazing at the invitation letter from Wizengamot.
Hermione sat beside him, holding a similar letter in her hand.
"Have you noticed the problem?" William asked softly.
Hermione squinted and frowned, saying:
"The trial will not take place in the Ministry of Magic's courtroom, but in the Merlin Memorial Hall."
William gave Hermione an approving look and smiled.
"As minister, Umbridge's reason was that there were too many participants."
The Ministry of Magic's courtroom isn't big enough to accommodate so many wizards.
"The reasons are quite valid." Hermione, well-versed in the history of the Ministry of Magic, nodded and said, "Merlin Memorial Hall did indeed occasionally serve as a place for trials."
But that doesn't fit Umbridge's character...
"Yes, how could she possibly admit her mistake on her own initiative?" William chuckled.
"There's nothing wrong with the trial itself, but it's happening at the wrong time and in the wrong place."
Hermione nodded slightly, understanding the purpose behind this trial.
She asked, "Are we still going?"
"Yes, of course I'll go." William closed the letter.
"If they've already set up the stage, how can they start their performance if we don't go?"
I've been waiting for this day for so long!
The trial was scheduled for June 13th.
Early in the morning, after the students finished their breakfast in the Great Hall, they saw the professors set off.
Dumbledore walked at the front, heading towards the exit of the Great Hall.
Not all professors went; of the three deans, only Professor McGonagall went.
The other three deans have to stay home and watch the house.
Professor Trelawney also went; she had a lot to say about accusing Umbridge.
Hermione was the only student who went with them. She walked beside William, talking excitedly about something, like a chatterbox.
Harry and Ron sat at the Gryffindor table, watching the scene with envy.
Ron stared at the two of them expectantly and said:
"Harry, I want to go too. It's like attending the trial of the old toad."
We should tell William and Hermione; maybe they'll take us along.
"Don't even think about it. Didn't you see that Anne didn't go?" Harry pointed to Anne, who was not far away.
Anne was engrossed in her book, seemingly oblivious to everything else.
She didn't seem as lively as usual, probably because she wasn't taken along... she seemed a little disappointed.
The hall was filled with silent people, all sitting around an elegantly decorated long table.
A magnificent marble fireplace roared with fire, its flames illuminating the room.
"Lucius, Avery," a loud, clear voice rose from the top of the table, "You were almost late, come and sit down."
Sit next to me.
The Death Eaters all looked at the two with envy.
The closer the relationship with the owner, the closer they will be to him.
Sitting next to him... is an absolute honor.
The two sat down in the designated spot.
Most of the people around the table were looking at Lucius and Avery, Voldemort also looked at the two of them and said:
Is there any good news?
"Master, Dumbledore has taken McGonagall and the others to the Merlin Memorial Hall to attend the trial."
"And of course, there are those two Mudblood, Stark and Granger," Avery quickly added.
Voldemort nodded in satisfaction.
The key to drawing Potter away from Hogwarts was that the school could not have members of the Order of the Phoenix.
Otherwise, if Potter encounters an emergency, he can contact members of the Order of the Phoenix at any time to confirm the situation.
He wouldn't fall for it at all, and then left Hogwarts.
But now the most crucial people have been lured away and won't be back anytime soon... The stage is set up, it's perfect.
He's about to start his performance, to give Dumbledore a surprise.
Voldemort looked around and said slowly, "I know you're all curious about what happened today."
Lucius and Avery are on a mission that they've been working on since last year.
And now... it's almost done.
"Are we going to attack Hogwarts, Master?" a Death Eaters asked excitedly.
"Since neither Dumbledore nor Stark are there?"
"No, Yaxley," Voldemort said hoarsely, "That place will be ours sooner or later, but not today."
When Dumbledore left, he would certainly have taken thorough defensive measures for Hogwarts.
Once an attack is launched there, he will sense it and return in the shortest possible time.
It doesn't mean much.
"Our target is the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic," he said softly.
"Tonight, Potter will go there alone, lured by me."
My backup plan at Hogwarts will be to inform Dumbledore a little later, delaying the arrival of the Order of the Phoenix.
Voldemort's red eyes were fixed intently on Lucius and Avery, his gaze sharp.
"Without interference from the Order of the Phoenix, without the Stark appearing, and with the Department of Mysteries cleaned up, there are no Unspeakable left."
I have only two requests:
First, I want to Prophecy Orb.
Second, capture Potter... I want him alive, no one can kill him."
Voldemort's lipless mouth twisted into a smile.
"You've all failed for a year, and I hope you can succeed this time."
otherwise,
You know me!
