Campus Today... Please Check In!
Professor Trelawney and Professor McGonagall were simply incompatible.
Even though they were temporarily united last year because of Umbridge, it was still a fake friendship, and their relationship was touching.
However, it's rare to see people arguing so heatedly over a man like this.
Professor Flitwick sat in the middle, separating the two.
But he seemed to be asleep and was not caught up in the chaos.
Of course he was pretending to be asleep. He had just slightly opened his eyes and quietly raised a napkin towards William.
The above meaning is concise and to the point:
Run! (Image file name: Run!)
The man arguing between the two female professors was, of course, not Professor Flitwick... although he would love to be the male lead.
Their argument was about the Centaur, Firenze, who had temporarily taken over the Divination last year.
This academic year, with Trelawney returning and Firenze still staying, the school now has two Divination professors.
Professor Trelawney became the sixteenth professor, and she considered the Divination her exclusive domain; how could she tolerate anyone else taking a share!
A real expert has arrived. How am I supposed to openly and legitimately deceive people now... cough cough, provide professional instruction?
They're here to cause trouble!
So she argued with Professor McGonagall and got the school to fire Firenze.
But Professor McGonagall had no reason to listen to Trelawney; she didn't believe in Trelawney's Divination at all.
It would be better to let the Centaur's Prophecy cure her.
This is also the cause of the argument.
Seeing that the two were about to start fighting, their tempers flared up.
William, having received a hint from Professor Flitwick, turned to leave, but was stopped after only a couple of steps.
Overwhelmed by Professor McGonagall's imposing presence, Professor Trelawney began seeking support from outside the arena.
She greeted him, "William, it's been a long time!"
William had no choice but to return, and as he got closer, he smelled the aroma of sherry again.
That old drunkard!
"Professor, it's been two months since I last saw you, and you still look as radiant as ever."
And you... Professor McGonagall, still as elegant and radiant as ever."
William was very cautious, but he showered people with flattery relentlessly.
But neither woman was satisfied, and Trelawney went straight to the point, leaving him no room for negotiation.
"William, whose Divination did you take this semester?!"
William chuckled and said, "I haven't thought about it yet, I've been too busy lately."
"Let's decide now! My dear child!" Her voice was soft, but it carried far.
Those rumors! Those stories! Guardians of Britain!
I had foreseen everything about you... but an even tougher future awaits you.
The future is never bright; you need to attend my classes so I can continue making Prophecy for you.
This concerns your personal safety!
If I don't choose your class, is anyone safe?!
Is this a threat, or just a threat?
"Hmm... your class is indeed very good," William mumbled.
"Oh, so you agree?" Professor Trelawney said presumptuously.
She glanced at Professor McGonagall with a smug look, as if she had won a victory, and laughed:
"Not bad, you have a good eye. I heard that you were the one who rescued that wretched horse, Firenze."
But since you don't choose his classes, it's obvious who teaches better.
It's obviously self-evident.
If William hadn't wanted to get Professor Trelawney's great Prophecy abilities for free, he would be stargazing with Firenze right now.
Compared to Trelawney's usual ramblings, the Centaur's Prophecy seems far more accurate.
"Really? I don't think William has agreed yet. He's just being polite and giving you face by refusing." Professor McGonagall said coldly.
"Sybill, you have no right to interfere with which courses students choose, and I will not fire Firenze."
Trelawney said angrily:
"Professor Dumbledore must get rid of that horse... and share the class time... this is an insult, an insult to me!"
Trelawney seemed excited, but was she truly that passionate about teaching?
Of course not.
Our Hogwarts still uses the outdated capitalist hourly wage system.
Each professor's salary is related to the number of teaching hours.
A teacher who is Centaur... just because he is Centaur might trigger some people's strange fetishes.
One was an old housewife who looked like a con artist and was also an old alcoholic!
If you were a student, who would you choose?
After Firenze arrived, Trelawney not only lost half of her class hours, but many students also likely stopped choosing her classes.
This caused her to lose both her salary and her reputation.
Without money, where can one buy sherry to maintain the refined lifestyle of Little Black?!
Making a scene is definitely out of the question, after all, this is a society where people get what they deserve based on how loud they make noise.
Just then, Hagrid and Dumbledore returned.
But this did not interrupt their argument; instead, it escalated further.
Professor Flitwick seized the opportunity to slip away and led the young wizard into the Great Hall.
William also closed his eyes to rest, no longer getting involved in the two women's unreasonable tantrums.
As time passed, the annual school selection finally began.
There are fewer students this year than in previous years.
Needless to say, many families with the means to do so have their children transferred to other schools.
There aren't many wizards in Muggle families either.
Dumbledore instructed every teacher to explain to the Muggle parents that... the Wizarding Wars had broken out.
The fact that professors get into trouble every year is enough to make parents worry.
Now, good heavens... even war has broken out, so there are even fewer Muggle parents willing to send their children to Hogwarts.
The Sorting Hat also looked worried, as if it thought the school was about to close down.
It started taking a somber, grievance-laden approach, even emphasizing in electronic music that everyone should unite and stand together against external threats.
The dinner was as lavish as ever, and as the students ate, they noticed that Snape was not there.
Did he fall into the Black Lake and drown while guiding the young wizard across?
Some people have also discovered that Harry is missing... Could he have been captured by the Inferi?
The young wizards were all talking about it.
After finishing his meal, Dumbledore stood up and smiled:
"Good evening, everyone!" He opened his arms as if to embrace the entire Great Hall.
"Welcome new students, and welcome back, returning students! A new year of magical education awaits you..."
"I know we encountered an attack by Death Eaters on the way. But don't worry, the castle is absolutely safe."
However, this safety also requires everyone's cooperation.
As Dumbledore spoke, a tense and anxious silence filled the Great Hall.
The principal continued:
"I hope everyone will be extremely careful and strictly abide by every safety rule set by the teacher."
Hogwarts will be under lockdown; students are not allowed to leave the school except for Hogsmeade Days without a valid reason.
Any leave request requires the approval and signature of the Prefect, the dean, and Vice Principal Professor McGonagall.
The students began to complain quietly.
These strict measures are practically equivalent to being imprisoned in Azkaban. This severely infringes upon everyone's freedom and human rights!
But when Professor McGonagall looked around, everyone deflated and immediately lowered their heads.
Dumbledore cleared his throat and continued:
"Also... Akali's Mystery Shop has released a new map called ' Campus Today '."
The school has already made the purchase. We hope everyone will strictly adhere to the map location and check-in system after receiving the supplies. Prefect should also supervise daily.
Everyone looked at William, who was in a faculty position.
This is indeed his most recent wicked invention.
It's still based on Hogwarts, but with expanded functionality.
An alarm will be automatically triggered if the location leaves the school.
As for inspiration, it certainly came from William's previous life, when he was constantly being urged by the class monitor and counselor.
Come, experience the fear of being controlled.
