More Than Stupid, It Was Downright Stupid!
After discussing security issues, Dumbledore announced an important appointment:
"This year, we are delighted to welcome a new teacher, Professor Slughorn."
Slughorn stood up, his bald, Mediterranean Sea head Winky in the candlelight.
Her large belly, as if she were ten months pregnant, cast a shadow on the table.
Professor Slughorn showed everyone what it looks like for a man to go bald and gain weight in middle age.
This is good news for Akali's super smooth shampoo and her miracle weight loss pills, right?
After all, it's a technology with a strong soy sauce flavor.
"Professor Slughorn is a former colleague of mine, a very capable teacher," Dumbledore continued, introducing him to the group.
Many students began to complain inwardly:
They even target former colleagues, asking them to teach Defence Against Dark Magic?
Judging from this fat old man's appearance, his later years are not going to be safe. He must have done something heinous, right?
But the principal immediately said:
He agreed to return to his old job as a Potions Class teacher.
"Meanwhile, Professor Snape," Dumbledore raised his voice, drowning out the murmurs of the crowd.
"I will serve as the substitute teacher for Defence Against the Dark Arts class."
The real professor is in prison; Umbridge is Snape's Stand User.
As soon as Dumbledore finished speaking, as if in response, the doors to the Great Hall were suddenly opened.
Professor Snape walked in, smiled knowingly, and turned to say:
"Come in, let everyone see you. This entrance ceremony is great, isn't it? It's definitely the effect you wanted."
Everyone looked toward the doorway, and after a moment, a wizard walked in hesitantly.
Harry didn't change out of his robes; he was still wearing Muggle clothes.
His face was covered in congealed blood clots, and most noticeably, his nose was broken.
Harry has finally become completely Dumbledore, taking on the shape of the headmaster.
Dumbledore's hooked nose broke twice.
Harry's nose was broken once before at the Department of Mysteries; this is the second time.
Coincidentally, it was Malfoy who interrupted both times.
An Old Malfoy, and a Young Malfoy.
This must be some kind of divine intervention.
However, Harry didn't curse Malfoy for hitting him in his heart; instead, he resentfully cursed Snape.
Snape found him in the Slytherin carriage, but deliberately pretended not to notice and let him lie on the floor for a long time.
He clearly had the ability to heal his injuries, yet he stood idly by and allowed him to enter the Great Hall in such a humiliating manner so that everyone could watch!
The slight liking Harry had for Snape at the end of the school year has now vanished!
Meanwhile, Malfoy, the instigator, sat at the Slytherin table, meticulously describing the entire process to everyone.
How someone sneaked into the Slytherin carriage to eavesdrop on his conversation;
And then he cleverly discovered her, and her nose was smashed.
Malfoy's words drew a burst of shrill laughter and applause from the Slytherin students.
Dumbledore's blue eyes flashed with a stern look. He stared at Harry, then finally looked at all the students and smiled:
"Alright, your beds are waiting for you. I know your priority now is to get some rest and prepare for class tomorrow."
So let's say "goodnight."
Headmaster's Office.
The oak door was pushed open, Snape walked in carrying a bowl.
"Principal, it's time to take your medicine!"
At least Jinlian spoke softly, but Snape's vicious voice made it hard to believe that the Potions wasn't poisonous.
However, Dumbledore did not hesitate at all; he took it and drank it all in one gulp.
Aside from being disgusting, Snape's Potions had no other drawbacks.
"Severus, you should add some honey next time," Dumbledore smacked his lips and complained, "As people get older, they crave sweet things."
Snape gave a soft hum, it was unclear whether he remembered it or not.
Dumbledore seemed intrigued and asked curiously:
"Is the Potions you gave Tom also this awful?"
Snape's lips twitched, and he changed the subject:
"Your injuries aren't serious, but if you want to recover quickly, you can't fight for now."
Avery attacks the Hogwarts Express, while Voldemort first distracts Dumbledore.
The fight between the two was intense. Dumbledore was old and his reactions were not as quick as before, so he was injured.
Of course, Voldemort wasn't having an easy time either.
Dumbledore raised the cup, examined it carefully for a moment, and asked:
"Severus, how much time do you think Tom has left?"
Snape hesitated for a moment, then said:
"The poison from Shidake is very potent. He was originally only supposed to last a year, but I've been extending his lifespan."
But after the Department of Mysteries and this battle with you, I estimate we only have five months left."
When Voldemort was resurrected two years ago, he was struck by a poisoned sword from William... but Snape cured him.
However, Snape didn't want to remove the poison from Voldemort, so he let the poison in his arm keep recurring.
This has been dragging on until now.
"Give him the antidote if necessary. We must not let Voldemort die," Dumbledore said.
"Your safety is the most important thing; it will also make him trust you more."
Of course, there's another reason, Dumbledore didn't mention.
Voldemort's body contains Harry's life essence.
This is also Harry's chance to survive; he absolutely must be saved.
After they finished talking about Voldemort, an awkward silence fell over the room.
After a moment, Dumbledore said:
"You shouldn't have embarrassed Harry like that in the Great Hall."
"Embarrassing?" Snape sneered. "I thought he would change after going through the Department of Mysteries, that he would improve."
But I didn't expect him to still be so arrogant!
"Do you know what he's doing?" Snape snapped. "He's wearing Invisibility Cloak and sneaking into the Slytherin carriage to eavesdrop."
Eavesdropping is bad enough, but to be caught by Malfoy is just plain stupid!
"He just wanted to find out what Malfoy was doing," Dumbledore explained for Harry.
"Of course, this shouldn't be his concern; I'll talk to him about it."
"I don't believe Shidake didn't tell Potter," Snape scoffed. "That idiot didn't listen to him, and he won't listen to you!"
He was as arrogant as his deceased father.
"Malfoy is now Death Eaters. If he had been ruthless back then, your the Boy Who Lived would be gone."
"That's exactly what I was going to talk to you about," Dumbledore, adjusting his half-moon spectacles.
"Voldemort's plan for William and me... that poor Malfoy family boy must kill us both."
Snape sat down in the chair he was sitting in, facing Dumbledore across the table.
"The Dark Lord didn't expect Draco to succeed. This was merely punishment for Lucius's recent failures."
"Letting Draco's parents watch their son make a mistake and then pay the price is like being slowly tortured with a dull knife."
