The Escaped Tom
In the following two weeks,
Ravenclaw played one match each against Hufflepuff and Gryffindor.
After Cedric graduated, William, who had no rivals, felt as lonely as an avalanche, and his life left no trace.
The game itself became rather dull; playing Quaffle felt stiff and unexciting.
Lacking any motivation, he skipped the game against the badgers and instead watched from the sidelines, relegated to the water cooler.
He realized for the first time how superficial it was to sit on the sidelines cheering for his teammates while holding a thermos and eating goji berries.
William, a newcomer to the Towel Man roster, displayed unparalleled talent in his very first appearance:
He demonstrated eight different ways to use a towel.
He also racked up 5 double-doubles on the sidelines:
Dozing off for 10 minutes, waving a towel 23 times, clapping 13 times, getting water 14 times, cursing the badger players and referees 10 times...
William led his team to an easy victory.
However, this behavior was even worse than slacking off on the field. All the students booed him angrily.
They came to see William score, not to watch him sit on the sidelines sunbathing, leisurely like a retired old man.
Madam Hooch empathized with the students.
Like the Minerva, she greatly admired William.
This is William's last year; next year we won't see this beautiful performing art anymore. How can you be a substitute?
After William laughed out loud, Madam Hooch suddenly gave him a technical foul.
Not to mention William, the students were all completely bewildered.
Is laughing now considered a foul?
Are there still school rules? Are there still laws?
Okay, this is the scythe of justice!
Having received such a warning, William had no choice but to play in the next match.
Gryffindor terrible fate, becoming victims.
He worked at full speed, clocking out in just twenty minutes without even breaking a sweat.
Gryffindor was unexpectedly thrashed... zero points, zero assists, zero free throws, zero steals, and zero shots on goal.
William made nine shots and scored ninety points.
He deliberately missed a free throw; otherwise, he would have easily scored in the triple digits.
I could get a hundred, but I won't. I'll just deliberately miss free throws. Hey, it's just for fun!
When you're winning, all problems can be masked; this applies to any team.
When Harry beat Slytherin, Harry was distracted during the match, which was also a sign of the Golden Lion's slight contempt.
McLaggen's micro-management was a classic example of dual-track operation...
When they lost the game, Harry's distraction led to Cho catching the Golden Snitch. From then on, he earned the legendary title of "The World's Best Snitch".
McLaggen was an idiot who didn't understand basketball and gave terrible instructions. He was the enemy's mole, our team's noob, and the best sixth man.
Many people want to do what he did to Charlie and crack his skull.
In short, every member of Gryffindor was criticized.
Ron was grinning from ear to ear; he felt utterly triumphant.
If Gryffindor continues to lose like this, he can completely clear his name.
Students are forgetful; McLaggen performs his tricks a few more times, everyone will soon forget his ridiculous antics.
But these are all minor matters.
William has been too busy lately to concern himself with the school's minor squabbles, and instead has been focusing on continuing his negotiations with the Chudley Cannons.
It's wartime now, and the club has been losing money all year; he's been trying to lower the price for a year.
William initially wanted to continue to suppress the news, but he received intelligence that the Europe Quidditch League was about to be established.
This will be a brand new super league formed by bringing together Europe's top Quidditch clubs.
William knew that this super league was bound to fail, after all, it was taking away the profits of many people.
A makeshift team built on shared interests is most easily destroyed by those interests.
Several Quidditch clubs in the United Kingdom will likely announce their entry first, then withdraw at lightning speed.
He's been a troublemaker for a long time, after all.
Now is a good time for William to enter the market and buy a team.
Of course, taking advantage of this opportunity to buy a team, he also left Hogwarts.
Ostensibly, it was to discuss club matters, but in reality, it was to avoid Slughorn and prevent him from inviting him again.
Moreover, as everyone knows, the law that something bad will happen on Halloween is a major causal law in the magical world, and there's no escaping it.
William could take this opportunity to get away from school and hide away.
Ilvermorny should be safe this Halloween, although...
Tom is preparing to escape from prison.
Headquarters of the Magical Congress of the United States of America
Woolworth Building, located in New York
But originally, it was built in the Appalachia Mountains.
Due to its remote location, the Magical Congress began to relocate, and this place was put to good use, naturally becoming the Appalachia Wizarding Prison.
It is also known as Devil's Island, meaning an island that can trap demons, and is also called a prison that is "impossible to escape from and breach."
The last prison that boasted about being so powerful was called Azkaban, and it was even called the cradle of great talent, the Fifth Academy.
Now, forget about the safest prisons; even the Dementor them have defected.
Of course, Magellan, as the warden of Appalachia prison, was still extremely confident.
Even Grindelwald was imprisoned here for six months back then.
Although Grindelwald eventually escaped, he did so after being transferred to the Magical Congress.
What does this have to do with Appalachia?!
But with the imprisonment of the young wizard who had tried to bewitch the people inside the Statue of Liberty in July, there has been no peace here ever since.
First, they encountered several waves of attacks from the Scourers.
That young wizard was clearly a high-ranking member of the Scourers; otherwise, they wouldn't have made such a big show of it.
With the outbreak of the Obscurus incident, the Targaryen saved New York and killed high-ranking Scourers who had infiltrated the Capitol.
Public opinion against the Scourers within the Magical Congress is growing stronger.
Magellan was ordered to interrogate young wizards in an attempt to obtain information about the Scourers's higher-ups.
Unfortunately, no matter what method they used, they couldn't obtain any intelligence.
He even illegally used Veritaserum, but it's not a cure-all.
Even Veritaserum might fail against a wizard with exceptional Occlumency, resulting in the delivery of false information.
They had received false information from that young wizard, which led them into some traps and resulted in the deaths and injuries of some Auror.
Magellan also tried to leverage his influence, but the Auror went to chat with him were even swayed by him.
Ultimately, even the young wizard's guards had to be replaced three times because his words were too persuasive.
On the eve of Halloween, Magellan, finally losing his patience, decided to have his men cut out Tom's tongue to use as a snack.
At this moment, in a single cell in the prison.
Tom Riddle sat on the bed, surrounded by a group of wizards.
Instead of cutting out Tom's tongue as ordered, the prison guards sat beside him like believers, eagerly awaiting his teachings.
Tom smiled with satisfaction.
