The Lang Household's Preparations, Mountain Collapse and Earth Split

The Lang Household patriarch's eyes lit up at those words. "What do you mean? What's going to happen to the Du Household and Cuckoo County?" he pressed.

The Second Tier chameleon, however, declined to speak plainly. He merely smiled and shook his head. "Once you leave with me and join the Demon Court, you'll naturally learn the answer."

Seeing that he refused to answer, the Lang Household patriarch could hardly press him further. He merely snorted coldly. "It had better be as you say. The Du Household had no small part in bringing our Lang Household to this state."

"If something really does happen to the Du Household and Cuckoo County a year from now, I'll definitely bring people back to kill them."

With that, the Lang Household patriarch stopped dwelling on these questions. As he recalled the clansmen fighting and slaughtering outside to hold off the enemy, he continued activating the Mountain Collapse and Earth Split grand array set up in the ancestral hall.

With the Second Tier chameleon's help, the Lang Household could break out of the encirclement and no longer needed to take the cultivators attacking the mountain down with them.

The Lang Household members immediately became even more cautious and careful. They scarcely dared breathe as they walked, not daring to make the slightest sound for fear of revealing their presence.

Fortunately, the Bloodline Divine Ability of the Second Tier chameleon leading them was indeed reliable. He led the Lang Household members all the way out of the Wolf Fang Mountain battlefield without alerting any of the cultivators or forces they encountered. Before long, they reached a safe area outside Wolf Fang Mountain.

Having escaped alive from a hopeless deathtrap, some of the Lang Household members wept for joy, while others looked back at the Wolf Fang Mountain battlefield, their eyes full of rage and hatred.

The leading Second Tier Chameleon Demon Race smiled. "Patriarch Lang, rest assured. Since I came on behalf of the Demon Court to recruit your Lang Household, I naturally prepared an escape route for you."

"Now that we've made it out of the Wolf Fang Mountain battlefield, the road ahead will only be safer. The cultivators, Lineages, and forces besieging your Lang Household definitely won't be able to catch us."

Many cultivators from various forces, including hyena cultivators, had broken into the Lang Household's ancestral grounds and were plundering resources, spiritual objects, Dark Iron ore, and more at will. Faced with this sudden upheaval, they had no time to defend themselves. Many were swallowed up as the mountains collapsed and the earth split, or had their bodies severed by eruptions of metal Qi. Cries of alarm, screams, and furious curses rang out one after another across the shaking Wolf Fang Mountain.

Atop Wolf Fang Mountain's highest peak, the Kong Household members had just slain the last few wolf demons, only to find that the Lang Household cultivators who had been resisting and fighting were nowhere to be seen. As they wondered what had happened, they suddenly felt the earth tremble and the mountains sway around them. Mountains collapsed and the earth split, and vast quantities of metal Qi erupted from the crumbling peaks and fractured ground, sweeping toward them.

"Watch out!"

Seeing this, Eldest Uncle Kong Yushuo raised a hand and sent out a volcanic stone treasure seal. It grew in the wind until it was the size of a boulder, stabilizing the trembling, shaking, and splitting ground around them.
