One Leaf Foretells Autumn
Five years later.
Above the East Sea, a Rainbow Clouds appeared from the far east, and the Jieshi Mountain, which borders the northern shore of the East Sea, could be seen in the distance.
Su Yao walked on the rosy clouds, the rainbow light beneath his feet receding, and landed on a cliff overlooking the sea.
The sea breeze swept over me, carrying the salty dampness and fine spray of waves.
He looked up and saw that Jieshi Mountain rose more than 8,000 feet high, its body yellow, like a giant piece of Wu Earth stone growing from the seabed. Its roots were immersed in the blue waves of the East Sea, and the waves had washed out layers of soil patterns. From a distance, it looked like a towering ancient tree rising from the water, with its branches and trunk made of earth and its roots made of stone.
Below the mountainside, lush vegetation abounds, mostly salt-tolerant red pines and smoke trees, their branches twisting like dragons, rooted in the crevices of the Wu Earth; above the mountainside, however, not a blade of grass grows, the exposed Wu Earth rock layers gleaming with a warm, earthy yellow luster under the sunlight, stacked layer upon layer, like an open book of Earth Virtue.
The mountain peak is shrouded in a layer of pale golden Wu Earth energy all year round. This energy neither dissipates nor condenses, but rather resembles an inverted giant bell, enveloping the entire Jieshi Mountain. Even hurricanes from the East Sea have to detour around the mountain.
As Su Yao gazed at the mountain, he suddenly recalled an old story.
Back then, the South Pole Heavenly Venerable served the Dao Ancestor Yuqing in Kunlun. After the Investiture of the Gods was completed, the Dao Ancestor went into seclusion and sent the Heavenly Venerable down the mountain to travel.
The Heavenly Venerable, enjoying the supreme position of Emperor in the Heavenly Court, found the Lingxiao Hall too lonely, so he descended to the mortal realm and traveled all the way to the shores of the East Sea.
At that time, Jieshi was just a small hill by the sea, no more than a hundred feet high, with only a few stubborn rocks and an old pine tree on it.
But the Heavenly Venerable sat on that mountaintop, watching the ebb and flow of the tides in the East Sea, the sunrise and sunset, and remained there for three hundred years.
The Wu Earth Fruition, sensing the Heavenly Venerable Venerable's enlightenment, responded proactively. With the nurturing power of Earth Virtue and the authority of a high mountain, it uprooted that small hill by more than eight thousand feet, transforming it into the Jieshi we see today.
The Heavenly Venerable did not adopt a new name, but continued to use the old title, passing down the Daoist lineage, which became known as the Jieshi Dao Lineage.
Later, the Jieshi lineage produced the Heavenly Venerable Beiwu, as well as several Dao Lord, Immortals, and True Lord, all of whom were top figures in the Wu Earth Dao.
Looking at the pale golden aura of Wu Earth on the mountain peak, Su Yao thought to himself: This is Jieshi.
The place where the South Pole Heavenly Venerable sat for three hundred years.
When he was young, he heard Daozheng recount this old story and thought it was just the Heavenly Venerable's leisurely pursuit; now, having witnessed this eight-thousand-foot-tall mountain rising from the sea, he understands how deeply the Heavenly Venerable's Wu Earth Dao had merged with this world during those three hundred years.
Then, he said softly:
"Eight thousand feet of earth rise from the East Sea, and for three hundred years a single peak has stood."
After he finished speaking, he was about to head into the mountains when he suddenly sensed three streams of energy flying from the mountainside.
One strand of earthy Wu Earth energy was heavy and steady, another strand of silvery white Heavenly Chaos Qi was lively and agile, and yet another strand of grayish purple Profound Qi was deep and restrained—all were familiar auras of old friends.
Su Yao was overjoyed and thought to himself:
It's not surprising that Xuan Yan is here;
Why are Yang Xiu and Ying Qi here too?
While he was pondering, his figure transformed into Rainbow Clouds and rushed forward.
The four streaks of light met in mid-air on the mountainside, each revealing its own form.
Dressed in silver, Ying Qi spoke first, laughing heartily:
"Fellow Daoist Su! It's been many years. You've become famous throughout the world. First, you slew several demons in the South Sea, and then you triumphed in South Pole..."
Seeing that Ying Qi still had that tendency to talk non-stop once she started, Su Yao secretly chuckled.
"Fellow Daoist, be careful with your words." Xuan Yan, dressed in a yellow Daoist robe, immediately interrupted, his brows furrowing slightly.
He was secretly anxious. Ying Qi the True Lord have just casually mentioned Ying Qi's words?
Although the one in South Pole is fond of mentoring younger generations, True Lord is still True Lord.
Ying Qi Qi's heart skipped a beat when Xuan Yan interrupted him. He gave a guilty smile, shrank his neck, and continued in a calm tone:
"... Fellow Daoist Su has slain the personal disciples and sons of the three great figures—the Lord of the Prefecture, Zhenwu, and the Divine King—in the far west, far north, and far east, respectively. How impressive! The world is now in an uproar, even more so than when we assisted the reincarnation of Proclaiming Earth True Lord in Nanzhao."
Su Yao shook his head and smiled:
"I heard that Great Qing invited you to the Western Regions, where you caused chaos in many small countries and expanded your territory considerably. You are no less impressive."
Ying Qi waved his hand and said, "Compared to you, Fellow Daoist, I am far inferior." He paused, his gaze falling on Yang Xiu, whose dark purple Profound Qi surged beside him. "Fellow Daoist Yang has earned a great reputation for punishing evil and promoting good over the years. Moreover, your cultivation is second only to Fellow Daoist Su among us. You have already cultivated three Divine Ability and reached the Purple Mansion Middle Stage, unlike Xuan Yan, Zilin, and I, who are still stuck at the second Divine Ability level."
While praising Yang Xiu, she was genuinely a little envious.
Yang Xiu was about to speak when Xuan Yan interrupted him again, "The two fellow Daoists and Fellow Daoist Yang have been renowned for many years, unlike me, who has been cultivating in the mountains and is now virtually unknown."
He glanced at Su Yao, then swept his gaze over Ying Qi and Yang Xiu, and chuckled, "Fellow Daoist Yang was born from the resonance of the Profound Qi Fruition, so it's normal for him to be at the Purple Mansion Middle Stage realm. Ying Qi Daoist Ying Qi has been working in the Western Regions these past years, so his cultivation must have progressed rapidly. Fellow Daoist Zilin... not to mention that he and Fellow Daoist Su have become dao companion, his sister, True Lord Zique, even attained True Lord in the Purple Mansion Continent a few years ago, leaving behind Daoist charm and spiritual aura. I imagine Fellow Zilin's cultivation has also advanced rapidly there. Only I, on the other hand, have gained nothing these past years."
Yang Xiu, however, felt uneasy.
Xuan Yan's words sounded like self-deprecation, but they revealed the underlying reason why Yang Xiu Fruition Position favored by the emperor. It was as if he was saying, "You cultivate quickly because you are lucky."
So he spoke up, "Fellow Xuan Yan, you are mistaken. Fellow Daoist Su and I were both born under the favor of the Daoist Fruition Position and were destined to be together. Now, Fellow Daoist Su has already Five Laws Perfection and dominates the world, while I am still only in the Purple Mansion Middle Stage realm. The gap is simply too great."
After saying that, he smiled and looked at Su Yao, just like he had back in Golden Ao Mountain in Nanzhao.
But in his heart he thought: Su Yao, that guy, used to drink and curse with me back in Golden Ao Mountain, but now he's unstoppable in the Purple Mansion.
It would be a lie to say he wasn't envious, but since this person was Su Yao, he Qi Ingestion.
Su Yao felt a warmth in his heart from Yang Xiu's gaze and jokingly said with a smile:
"Would Fellow Daoist Yang be willing to exchange a few blows with me?"
Yang Xiu waved his hand and laughed, scolding:
"Fellow Daoists, take a look! This Su Yao is utterly inhuman! He actually dares to use his Five Laws Perfection cultivation to bully me, a mere Three Elements Purple Mansion Middle Stage!"
After he finished speaking, all four of them burst into laughter.
After a moment, Xuan Yan said, "Fellow Daoists, let's go to Jieshi Mountain and have a seat. We'll prepare some fine food and wine." He paused, then cupped his hands towards Su Yao, "Congratulations to Sword Immortal Su!"
Yang Xiu immediately said:
"Very good."
Ying Qi had already rushed to fly into the mountains.
The four laughed again and together they used their escape light to head towards Jieshi Mountain.
Ying Qi was at the forefront, his silver robes fluttering in the wind; Yang Xiu was at the rear, his gray-purple Profound Qi surging, his eyes and brows full of smiles; Xuan Yan led the way in the middle, occasionally glancing back at Su Yao with a gentle gaze, pondering whether he should probe Su Yao's plans for seeking gold at the banquet later.
Sandwiched between the three, Su Yao looked at these three familiar faces and suddenly felt that the murderous aura he had accumulated over the past five years of traveling the world and slaying gods and demons had been somewhat dissipated by the sea breeze in front of Jieshi Mountain.
Although we haven't seen each other for many years, our friendship remains as strong as ever.
A line of poetry welled up in his mind, but he didn't recite it aloud. "The East Sea, revealing the face of an old friend; ten years of wind and rain, a cup of wine before us."
As Su Yao reached the foot of the mountain, his pace slowed. Gazing at the layers of Wu Earth and the pale golden Wu Earth energy, he sighed inwardly: Back then, Ancestor Yun Zhongzi stood out among the many disciples of the Dao Ancestor and was the only Wu Earth True Lord besides Ancestor Jieshi Ancestor, the South Pole Heavenly Venerable.
The South Pole Heavenly Venerable occupies the Wu Earth Fruition, Yun Zhongzi occupies the Wu Earth Subsidiary Rank. Although they are not among the Twelve Golden Immortals of Jade Void, they are still Golden Immortal of Fortune and Virtue.
Later, the Patriarch Kongzheng Rainbow Clouds, Wu Earth was one of the few Great Daos in the world that was nourished by Rainbow Clouds; later still, Caiche attained the Dao, which was also with the permission of the Heavenly Venerable Beiwu of Jieshi, so that he was able to take on the Wu Earth Remaining Rank.
The bond between Qixia and Jieshi dates back to their ancestral masters.
He read it softly:
"The Wu Earth once supported the Rainbow Clouds; the East Sea still remembers the spring of our two families."
After reading it aloud, he turned to Xuan Yan and said solemnly:
"Fellow Daoist, it is a rare Jieshi for me to visit Jieshi. Are your Dao Lord, True Lord, and Supreme True Person in the mountains? Since I am here, given the friendship between our two families, I should naturally pay a visit to you all."
Upon hearing this, Xuan Yan shook his head, his smile fading slightly. He sighed inwardly: Su Yao's question had touched a raw nerve for Jieshi over the years.
He said:
"The last time the Dao Lord Zhizhuo Zhizhu appeared was in the Nanzhao Royal City, where he fought against the Tubo Monk Mao. Later, he joined Supreme True Person with Daozheng Qizhenzi of your Dao to fight against Daoist Dao Lord Limian of Village Hypocrisy Heaven and Blood Homeland Heaven Devil Lord Xueluo of Xuexiangtian. As you know, True Lord Xueluo perished, and Dao Lord and Limian, along with Senior Qizhenzi, all disappeared without a Zhizhuo and have not been heard from since..."
Su Yao sighed inwardly.
There has been no news of Daozheng for a long time. Even before he came down from Qixia Mountain, Qingzhu did not know where Daozheng had gone.
A thought flashed through his mind: What exactly happened in that battle where Daozheng and the Dao Lord Zhizhuo joined forces?
Then, forcing a smile, he asked again:
"Your Excellency's True Lord Xuanbin and the three Supreme True Person?"
Xuan Yan said, "True Lord Xuanbin is in the Central Plains and cannot return for some time. Zhíyè, High Perfected has been in seclusion in his grotto for many years, Xuanzhen, High Perfected Xuanzhen is looking after Guixu, and as for Yuandao, High Perfected Immortal Yuandao, he was recently invited by Lord of Mount Tai to the underworld to guard against the Youdu riot." He paused, then continued, "But many years ago Yuandao, High Perfected cast a divination, and the divination said—"
He slowed his speech and read each word carefully:
"Rainbow Clouds appears over the East Sea, and apricot blossoms adorn the branches. A guest arrives from the East, and a single leaf heralds autumn."
Upon hearing this, Su Yao quickly replied, "The Mysterious Wu Apricot... is far too precious."
At the same time, he thought to himself, "One leaf can tell that autumn is coming"... What did Jieshi see in him?
Thinking of this, his heart tightened slightly.
Xuan Yan waved his hand and smiled, "You are all distinguished guests. Our families all possess this apricot; it is a descendant of the immortal apricot tree in Kunlun. However, due to the different paths cultivated by our respective ancestral masters, it has undergone some changes. For our families, it is not considered a particularly valuable item."
But in his heart he thought: There's still half a line left unread in Yuandao, High Perfected's divination text. After "One leaf can tell autumn is coming," comes "Don't wait until frost and snow arrive."
But these words are too heavy to say today.
Su Yao simply nodded, but he kept that sentence in mind.
"One leaf can tell that autumn is coming."
The four then followed Xuan Yan into the mountains.
Nestled in the Jieshi Mountain, a pavilion perched on a cliff face is suspended outside the Wu Earth wall. The pavilion's pillars are four naturally formed Wu Earth stone pillars, and the roof is covered with a thin layer of yellowish-brown moss. Below the cliff lies the vast blue sea of the East Sea.
The four sat facing each other, with Xuan Yan in the main seat, Su Yao opposite him, Ying Qi to his left, and Yang Xiu to his right.
The table was laden with fine wine and delicacies, mostly seafood from the East Sea and rare vegetables from Jieshi Mountain. Each of the four people had a jade plate in front of them, on which sat an apricot with an earthy Wu Earth sheen.
Xuan Yan pointed to the apricot and said, "This apricot is of a high quality. It would take us a long time to digest just one in our Purple Mansion. It can help us repair and regulate our bodies."
Su Yao nodded and raised his wine cup. "Fellow Daoists, let us drink together."
Several people raised their glasses in succession.
Yang Xiu first teased Su Yao:
"Back then, at Golden Ao Mountain in Nanzhao, a few of us feasted. Zilin played the flute, Xuan Yan played the zither, Yingqi Ying Qi the pipa, Su Daoyou wrote poetry, and Mo Li Daoyou and I drank wine. We were so happy! But such a wonderful time and beautiful scenery was hundreds of years ago."
Su Yao understood the meaning behind Yang Xiu's words and said:
"Fellow Daoist Yang, why bring up things from hundreds of years ago?" He raised his cup to Yang Xiu and said, "Let's look ahead; there are still countless years of wine to drink ahead."
Yang Xiu was taken aback, then burst into laughter. "Good! There are still countless years of wine to drink ahead! I like hearing that."
After he finished speaking, the four of them burst into laughter again.
After laughing, Su Yao put down his wine glass, then suddenly remembered something and looked at Yang Xiu and Ying Qi:
"By the way, Fellow Daoist Yang, Fellow Daoist Ying, what brings you here?"
Ying Qi could speak, Xuan Yan spoke first:
"Fellow Daoist, you slew people in the South Pole, the Far West, and the North Pole, and finally headed to the Far East. We heard that the Xuandao of True Martial Mountain was heading east, so I went there too, but I dared not approach, only watching from afar as you killed them." He paused, glancing at Yang Xiu and Ying Qi, "It was there that I met Fellow Daoist Yang and Fellow Daoist Ying."
Su Yao nodded upon hearing this, then suddenly seemed to remember something and asked:
"Fellow Daoist Mo Li didn't come?"
But he recalled the banquet at Golden Ao Mountain years ago, when Mo Li sat next to Yang Xiu, saying little but drinking the most heartily.
All three shook their heads.
Ying Qi said, "Fellow Daoist, you may not know this, but since the matter of Proclaiming Earth in Nanzhao concluded, you have been focused on cultivation and should not know that Fellow Mo Li has not appeared for a long time." He paused, "I heard that he went to Jade Spring Grotto-Heaven for seclusion and has not appeared since."
Upon hearing this, Su Yao said, "The Great Dao is of utmost importance."
A sense of melancholy settled in my heart; the old friends from Golden Ao Mountain had all gone their separate ways.
Ying Qi nodded, remained silent for a moment, and then asked, "Fellow Daoist Su, although I haven't gotten close, I can see that Divine Truth is becoming increasingly powerful. I wonder if the Ancient Immortal Truth Qi still has a chance to return?"
As soon as he asked the question, he felt a pang of unease: he cultivated the Heavenly Chaos Qi, which was considered part of the Immortal Dao path, and the Divine Truth was flourishing there. Their cultivation path was truly difficult.
Upon hearing this, everyone was taken aback.
Yang Xiu's heart skipped a beat; matters of the Divine Truth...
Xuan Yan lowered his eyes, twirling a wine cup in his hand. He Jieshi the Jieshi lineage and cultivated the Wu Earth. Wu Earth was the foundation of immortality. The Divine Truth suppressed the Immortal Truth, which made everyone feel uncomfortable.
Su Yao couldn't help but recall the Divine Truth power he sensed during the battle in the Far East, and after thinking for a moment, he said:
"True Qi was originally the body of immortals, one of the foundations of the Immortal Dao, also known as True Yin or Immortal Truth. Later, the True Martial Sovereign attained enlightenment, transforming from the True Qi Remaining Rank to the True Qi Fruition, changing Immortal Truth to Divine Truth... The five Divine Ability of Immortal Truth are Crane Soaring to the Heavens Crane Returns to the Forest, Jade Skin Shines, Mysterious Abyss Unites, and Condense True Substance. However, after the Emperor ascended the throne, these became Crane Soaring to the Heavens, Crane Returns to the Forest Jade Skin Shines and Tortoise and Serpent Coil, and Mysterious Heaven Palace, which are quite different from Immortal Truth."
Upon hearing this, the group remained silent.
All of them were from the Immortal Dao Mysterious Gate, cultivating the path of immortality. The transformation of Immortal Truth into Divine Truth made none of them comfortable.
Ying Qi cursed inwardly, "The Emperor ascended the throne and changed the Immortal Truth to Divine Truth, which is essentially using the things of the Immortal Dao to fill the holes of the Divine Dao." Yang Xiu, however, thought even further, "Su Yao in seeking gold and Rainbow Clouds becomes an Immortal, and Rainbow Clouds's sect is established, can it help the Immortal Dao gain more prestige?"
The thought flashed through his mind, but he didn't dare to dwell on it.
Xuan Yan sighed inwardly: If the Immortal Truth were still in power, he might have a chance to obtain gold...
After a moment of silence, Yang Xiu put down his wine glass and looked at Su Yao:
"Fellow Daoist, are you returning to Qixia to seek gold?"
Su Yao was taken aback upon hearing this.
He ultimately did not tell the truth.
He kept his journey to Zhongnan to seek gold a secret from everyone, even the three people in front of him were old friends he had known for hundreds of years, and even Yang Xiu was the closest to him.
He thought to himself, "I'm sorry, the fewer people who know about this, the better."
He nodded and said, "This time, I will travel south along the East Sea back to Qixia. When I pass through Golden Court, I will pay a visit to Fellow Daoist Yang's house. After that, I will return to Qixia. Once everything is ready and the spiritual energy is perfect, I will begin the process of seeking gold. At most, it will take sixty years."
Upon hearing this, Yang Xiu, Ying Qi, Xuan Yan remained silent for a moment.
Silence fell in the pavilion, heavier than the sea breeze.
Seeking gold is incredibly difficult; Five Laws Perfection of the Purple Mansion is merely the threshold, while the position of True Lord is an insurmountable chasm.
No one, including Su Yao himself, was certain that they could succeed.
Yang Xiu and the others had received reminders from their elders that Su Yao was most likely not going to follow in their footsteps, or that there would be some new developments.
After all, the fact that Yuanfu Lord He True Martial Sovereign was not angry about his disciple being killed by Su Yao might be because he was thinking about the Rainbow Clouds Immortal... to see if he could disrupt Su Yao's more reliable Qixia method of seeking gold.
Even though Su Yao has been trying to hide it, the things he has done over the years—slaying demons in the South Sea, testing his sword in the South Pole, beheading Lu Chuan in the far west, killing the Divine Child in the far north, and destroying the Emperor's personal teachings in the far east—while outsiders can't guess exactly what methods he uses to seek gold, they can at least guess that Su Yao's method of seeking gold is probably somewhat different from the methods passed down through generations of Qixia Temple.
Yang Xiu looked at Su Yao, opened his mouth, but ultimately didn't ask.
But in her heart she thought, "Su Yao, we've known each other for so many years. You can fool others, but you can't fool me."
If you don't tell me, I won't ask. I just hope that you can make it through this path.
Ying Qi glanced at Yang Xiu, and seeing that Yang Xiu didn't speak, he swallowed his words.
Xuan Yan lowered his head and took a sip of wine, thinking to himself that Su Yao's momentary daze just now was not right.
He probably didn't tell us the truth about his plans to seek gold.
He recalled Yuandao, High Perfected's words, "One leaf can tell that autumn has arrived," and he had a vague feeling that Su Yao's departure was probably not just about returning to Qixia to make preparations.
Three days later.
Yang Xiu accompanied Su Yao southward along the East Sea coast.
The two traveled at a leisurely pace, enjoying the sea breeze along the way. They occasionally exchanged a few words, mostly Yang Xiu talking about recent events in Golden Court, while Su Yao listened and nodded from time to time.
Yang Xiu was talking about trivial matters in Golden Court, but in his heart he was waiting for Su Yao to say something.
Su Yao remained silent, only listening and occasionally responding.
Soon after, upon reaching the mouth of the great river, Su Yao suddenly stopped his escape light and looked at Yang Xiu.
"Fellow Daoist, let us part ways here." Su Yao turned and cupped his hands in greeting to Yang Xiu. "If there is an opportunity in the future, I will go to Golden Court to find you again."
Yang Xiu's expression changed, and he asked uncertainly, "Fellow Daoist Su, what is this...?"
My heart sank: going upstream along the great river, reaching Luoyi, and heading Guanzhong, one would reach Zhongnan.
Su Yao is going to Zhongnan?
But Su Yao clearly said he wanted to go back to Qixia...
He was somewhat uncertain, fearing that Su Yao might do something irrational.
Su Yao noticed his worry and smiled, "Fellow Daoist, rest assured, I only wish to swim upstream and gaze at Zhongnan... I have no other thoughts." He paused, then continued, "After all, Qixia Temple ultimately needs me to become True Lord." As he said this, Su Yao felt a little uneasy. He did indeed intend to swim upstream and gaze at Zhongnan Mountain, but he didn't say what he would do after that.
Yang Xiu remained silent for a long time.
He knows Su Yao too well.
Having spent over a hundred years in Nanzhao and spent every day and night with Su Yao on Golden Ao Mountain, he knew Su Yao all too well. When Su Yao said, "Let's take a look at Zhongnan," he truly did take a look.
But when Su Yao said that Qixia Temple needed me to become True Lord, the weight in his tone was clearly much heavier than when he looked into the distance.
Yang Xiu thought to himself, over and over:
Su Yao, what exactly are you trying to do?
But he didn't dare ask.
Finally, Yang Xiu spoke, "Fellow Daoist Su, I remember before we went into seclusion to seek the Purple Mansion, Fellow Zilin wrote a poem: 'Ten years of pear blossoms and snow moisten the teacup, one night of calamity clouds hastens the sword boat. Unafraid of the vastness obscuring the path, daring to face the journey to the clouds with heart and soul. The moon over Mount Lao is cold, a thousand peaks are silent, the wind of Purple and Green is high, ten thousand trees are autumnal. If we talk about the Golden Ao in the future, we will still remember today when we volunteered together.'" He looked at Su Yao and said, word by word, "Today, I will send this poem to you again, Fellow Daoist. I hope you will not let down Fellow Zilin, nor will you let down the friendship we have known for so many years."
After speaking, without waiting for Su Yao's response, he immediately transformed into a wisp of gray-purple Profound Qi and fled into the distance.
He was afraid that if he stayed any longer, he would be unable to resist asking, "Are you going to Zhongnan?"
Su Yao stood there, watching the gray-purple streak of light disappear into the mist of the East Sea.
His eyes were filled with tears, and his lips were slightly parted, but he ultimately did not speak.
Then he turned around and looked towards the mouth of the river.
The great river flows eastward, eventually emptying into the sea.
The muddy yellow river water and the azure sea water intertwine at the estuary, clearly distinct yet gradually merging together.
As Su Yao gazed at the surging river, he recalled his travels over the years: heading south to vanquish demons, turning west to slay Lu Chuan, going north to kill the Divine Child, and going east to destroy the Emperor's personal disciple.
His aura was imposing, his energy had reached its peak, and his cultivation had reached the pinnacle of the mortal realm.
With the Five Laws Perfection, he is invincible within the Purple Mansion. Below the Supreme True Person True Lord level, unless the Five Immortals of Heaven, Earth, Man, God, and Ghost intervene, no one can kill him head-on.
He took a deep breath, a surge of heroic spirit welled up within him, and gazing upon the great river, he loudly composed the lyrics:
The tide rises from the East Sea; how many times has the cold seeped through my iron armor?
Do you remember, under the moonlit Golden Ao, in our youthful days?
A thousand miles of wind and dust, a three-foot sword; ten years of frost and snow, a thousand mountains and moon.
Laugh at the world, how many waves have swept away the sands of time, let's not even talk about it.
The Yunzhong is not yet over.
The spirit within me has never been extinguished.
See the mighty river rushing by, its waters as white as snow.
Let us tuck the Rainbow Clouds into our sleeves and repay the heavens with our hearts and souls.
When I return, we'll raise a glass and reminisce about our lives, starting from the beginning.
After finishing his poem, Su Yao laughed three times, Rainbow Clouds suddenly rose beneath his feet, propelling him northward against the flow of the great river.
The banks of the great river are flat and fertile for thousands of miles.
As dusk falls, wisps of smoke rise from chimneys, villages are scattered like chess pieces, and occasionally a returning boat is moored at the ferry, its fishing lights twinkling.
