As they went to meet a mysterious white-robed messenger arriving with a decree, the group still had no solution to Liberation by Violence.

  • Su Yao understood that their elders wanted them to take part so the accomplishment would count as their own, and he agreed to proceed with Yang Xiu.
  • Su Yao ordered the group to summon their protectors and allies to gather at Golden Ao Mountain in seven days.

Ch. 259Watching the Opera

  • Chen Hai watched a second play contrasting a minister's family wealth with immortal cultivation and rewarded the performers with silver.
  • A messenger warned Chen Hai that several dukes of Great Qing had brought tens of thousands of Capital Garrison elites into the Miao Frontier, and Chen Hai flew toward the confluence of the two rivers.

As the factions converged at the two rivers, Su Yao received the Peach Blossom Sword and broke the Proclaiming Earth barrier, preparing to invite the True Lord’s reincarnation to return.

  • Chen Hai examined the wooden pattern on his palm, reflected on the Mysterious Gate and the Jade Void lineage, and took out the Great Marsh Banner.
  • A mysterious voice ordered Su Yao and his companions to assist the True Lord, but blood rain revealed that a Devil Lord had fallen.

  • Su Yao recalled the talisman tablet and said it was time to invite the True Lord’s reincarnation to return.

Ch. 262Opening and Closing Anew

  • Su Yao combined Peach Blossom with the Autumn Steed Sword and, with Yang Xiu’s protection, shattered Chen Hai’s giant sword and mortally wounded him.
  • Chen Hai’s body disintegrated, and the wooden casket absorbed the Great Marsh Banner and Sixfold Completion Jar before Vast Righteousness Qi, Purple Qi, and wisdom light fought over it.

  • Su Yao confronted the mountain god of Qixia Mountain and demanded that he take his own life in exchange for sparing his lineage.
  • The mountain god surrendered his talisman decree and destroyed his divine rank, disappearing as the mountain’s earth qi returned to Qixia Mountain.
  • Chen Hong delivered an imperial decree naming Su Yao the Nation-Protecting True Person and bestowing titles, treasures, and spiritual materials, which Su Yao accepted.
  • Su Yao used the talisman decree to open the way into Qixia Mountain, where immortal music sounded and pear blossoms bloomed across the autumn mountain.
  • Su Yao crossed the rainbow bridge and reached the Purple Empyrean Golden Palace, where Nannuo, Jueming, and more than fifty disciples welcomed him back.

Ch. 265A Long Silence Without Word

Su Yao returned to Qixia Temple, learned that Daozheng and others had sent no word, and agreed to Qingyang’s plans to open the mountain and arrange a marriage proposal. He accepted an invitation to the Flower-Shifting Palace’s ceremony in Fuzhou, where its two palace masters would seek divine attainments, then ended the chapter reflecting on those long absent.

  • Su Yao asked Qingyang about Daozheng, True Lord Xicheng, and Gui Hong, but Qingyang had received no word from them.
  • Qingyang confessed that it had arranged for Zilin to receive the Purple Cloud Unity Covenant, and Su Yao agreed to proceed with the arrangement.
  • Qingyang told Su Yao that the Primordial Lady of Purple Void had slain three Great Qing True Lords and two Buddhist bodhisattvas, and that the Flower-Shifting Palace was inviting him to its ceremony.
  • Lianyue invited Su Yao and Qixia Temple to Fuzhou for the two Flower-Shifting Palace masters’ gold-seeking ceremony, and Su Yao accepted.
  • Lianyue explained that the Flower-Shifting Palace had withdrawn from Nanzhao to avoid the Proclaiming Earth affair, and Su Yao reflected on the palace’s caution before returning up the mountain.

Ch. 266Flower God

At Mount Jing, Miaoyuan underwent the gold-seeking ceremony before a vast gathering of Purple Mansion cultivators, with Su Yao and Zilin observing. She attained the Subsidiary Rank of Flourishing Yin Wood and became Divine Lord Nurturer of Virtue in All Blossoms, while Miaoqing prepared to begin her own pursuit of gold.

  • Su Yao watched the Purple Yang Temple delegation arrive with Zilin and her elder sister, the head of Mount Lao's Purple Yang Temple.
  • Miaoqing left Mount Jing to guard from a distant hill while Miaoyuan began her gold-seeking ceremony.

  • Miaoyuan attained the Subsidiary Rank of Flourishing Yin Wood and declared herself Divine Lord Nurturer of Virtue in All Blossoms, establishing her dominion over vegetation, flowering seasons, and the nurturing of lifespans.
  • The gathered cultivators bowed and congratulated Miaoyuan, while Miaoqing rose from her hill and turned east to begin seeking gold.

Ch. 267The Sky Split

Miaoqing failed to obtain the Flourishing Wood Remaining Rank, but used the Hundred Lotus Pill to become a Heavenly Immortal while returning her golden nature to True Lord Miaoyuan. As the sisters faced an old demonic foe, a white scar split the sky and the Heavenly River began pouring into the mortal world.

  • Miaoqing followed the Primordial Lady of Purple Void's guidance and used her five Divine Abilities to seek the Flourishing Wood Remaining Rank, but the rank did not answer.
  • Miaoqing swallowed the Hundred Lotus Pill, released her golden nature to True Lord Miaoyuan, and cultivated into a Heavenly Immortal.
  • Miaoqing declared her attainment in Linchuan, Fuzhou, and the gathered Purple Mansions congratulated her.
  • A demonic voice challenged True Lord Miaoyuan and Miaoqing to settle an old grievance, and the two sisters vanished to fight beyond the heavens.
  • A golden sword light appeared in the mortal world, a white scar split the sky, and Heavenly River water poured through it as a Purple Mansion warned that the Five-Colored Stone had gone wrong.

Ch. 268Paying Respects

Su Yao and Zilin left Mount Jing for Qixia Mountain as the Heavenly River continued pouring through a scar in the sky. Zique watched them go and kept her concerns about her younger sister and Su Yao to herself.

  • Zique arrived from Purple Yang Temple, greeted Su Yao, and exchanged restrained words with Zilin.
  • Su Yao explained that an Immortal or Dao Lord might have shaken loose a corner of the Five-Colored Stone and warned that repairing it would be difficult.

Ch. 269Taming the Flood

Su Yao and Zilin held back the Heavenly River flood threatening Qinghe Commandery City until four disciples arrived with Spirit Treasures to secure the land and collect the water. Su Yao left for Qixia Mountain to find Qingzhu while the others began rescuing the city.

  • Su Yao used the Nine Heavens Auspicious Cloud Banner to shield Qinghe Commandery City from the flood, and Zilin's Purple Gauze Umbrella failed to withstand the Kan Water.
  • Liu Yunhe, Han Ziyi, Li Siyi, and Zhang Ziyan arrived with Spirit Treasures, while Xuejie stayed on Qixia Mountain to guard its thirty-six secret realms.
  • Su Yao assigned the four disciples to secure the riverbanks, stabilize the earth veins, collect the floodwater, and capture its Kan Water essence.
  • Su Yao left for Qixia Mountain to find Qingzhu, and Zilin remained to guard the disciples.
  • The four disciples used their Spirit Treasures to contain and redirect the flood as the people of Qinghe Commandery City watched the waters recede.

Ch. 270Carefree

Su Yao visited Qingzhu on Qixia Mountain to seek a way to mend the breach in the heavens, learning that an East Sea Dragon Palace Dao Lord had split the Five-Colored Stone to pressure the Dragon God for the Sea-Subduing Stone. • Su Yao climbed Qixia Mountain and found Qingyang lying before the Ancestral Master Hall, warming himself beneath five Great Yang light rings.
  • Qingyang told Su Yao that an East Sea Dragon Palace Dao Lord had split the Five-Colored Stone to force the Dragon God to surrender the Sea-Subduing Stone.
  • Returning Water Qi surged from the south, gathered the Heavenly River waters, and eased the strain on the four guardians and their Spirit Treasures.
  • Qingyang called the South Sea Dragon Palace envoy back, and the aged voice thanked him.
  • Su Yao picked up Ask Amid the Clouds and returned it beside Qingyang, who explained he had borrowed five Spirit Treasures to warm himself after being soaked by Kan Water.
  • Su Yao bowed before the memorial tablets and Qingyang, then left; Qingyang told him to visit Mount Lao, and Su Yao said he knew.

Ch. 271Borrowing Treasures

Afterward, Su Yao learned Qingzhu had secretly guided his romantic prospects to strengthen ties with Mount Lao, and the two wrestled over Ask Amid the Clouds.

  • Qingzhu brought Su Yao to meet Baihezi, who asked for the Heaven-Piercing Pillar and then two Wu Earth Law Treasures to aid True Lord Xicheng against the Blood Devil.
  • Qingzhu said he would consult Qizhenzi, then hosted Baihezi with Vermilion Rosy Cloud Brew and immortal apricots.
  • Qingzhu and Baihezi fought when the Taiji Talisman Edict descended on Qixia Mountain, and the Transforming Azure Bracelet carried Su Yao away from the clash.

  • Su Yao accused Qingzhu of guiding his fate and rushed for Ask Amid the Clouds, but Qingzhu pinned the sword beneath himself, and they wrestled before the Ancestral Hall.

Ch. 272Wait for Me

  • Zilin told Su Yao that borrowing the Five Fires Seven Fowl Fan was her sister's decision and promised to speak with Zique herself.
  • Su Yao and Zilin exchanged farewells, and Su Yao flew away before calling back, “Wait for me.”
  • Zique appeared before Su Yao in the Great Void and asked whether he truly loved Zilin or wanted the fan.
  • Zique explained that Zilin's fate and cultivation might benefit from being with Su Yao, and Su Yao assured her that his feelings were true.
  • Zique accepted his answer, said Mount Lao's gates would always be open to him, and flew toward the Purple Mansion Continent.

Ch. 273An Explanation

Su Yao returned from Mount Lao and learned from Qingzhu why Qixia Temple was desperate to strengthen itself and what cultivation path Qingzhu had planned for him. He concealed the Prism’s role in his rapid progress and left the meeting committed to keeping his true abilities hidden.

  • Su Yao reported his conversations with Danqiuzi and Zique, and Qingzhu admitted to arranging events without Qizhenzi’s involvement because Xicheng might not be able to contain the devil much longer.
  • Qingzhu explained how Guiyuan’s death, Xicheng’s failed efforts, and Qixia Temple’s conflicts had left the temple vulnerable, and said Su Yao could help protect it by attaining the Rainbow Cloud Fruition.
  • Qingzhu outlined Su Yao’s remaining Divine Abilities, saying he should cultivate Heaven-Weaving Shuttle and Half Farewell to Heaven before Rosy Clouds Red City, and set a three-hundred-year goal for preparing to seek gold.
  • Su Yao privately recognized that the Prism had already shown him how to cultivate the remaining abilities, but decided to conceal his progress and the Prism from everyone.
  • Qingzhu said they would inventory the treasure cave another day, then left Su Yao alone in the Purple Empyrean Golden Palace.

Ch. 274Half Farewell to Heaven

Zhao Shouyi overwhelmed Lu Yuan, Zichuan, and Ren Han with his five perfected Human Dao Divine Abilities, nearly crushing Zichuan. Qixia’s temple master emerged from seclusion and used Half Farewell to Heaven to break Zhao Shouyi’s attack, then challenged him over his choices.

  • Lu Yuan, Zichuan, and Ren Han attacked Zhao Shouyi together, but his five Human Dao Divine Abilities countered them and weakened all three.
  • Zhao Shouyi focused his five Divine Abilities on Zichuan, shattered his defenses, and sent him crashing across the sea.
  • As Zhao Shouyi’s five forces bore down on Zichuan, Qixia’s temple master appeared and used Half Farewell to Heaven to freeze the battlefield and dismantle the attack.
  • The temple master addressed Zhao Shouyi, questioning why he had abandoned his Dao Path and attacked Qixia’s disciples.

Ch. 275Pear Blossom Return

Su Yao fought Zhao Shouyi in the South Sea, revealed that he had perfected all five Divine Abilities, and killed him after Zhao refused to abandon his blood feud over Nanzhao. Su Yao collected Zhao’s four Spirit Treasures, sent Lu Yuan, Zichuan, and Ren Han back to Qixia, then flew toward the Demonic Qi to continue his preparations.

  • Zhao Shouyi confronted Su Yao over the deaths in Nanzhao and attacked him with five Divine Abilities and four Spirit Treasures.

  • Su Yao revealed Rosy Clouds Red City, his fifth Divine Ability, and used its suppressive force to extinguish Zhao Shouyi’s halos before killing him with Pear Blossom Return.
  • Zhao Shouyi’s body and soul disintegrated, and Su Yao caught the sun-and-moon pearl, bronze mirror, whisk, and bronze lamp as they fell.
  • Su Yao gave pills to Lu Yuan, Zichuan, and Ren Han and told them to return to Qixia.
  • Su Yao flew toward the Demonic Qi, intending to make preparations to seek gold and clear the miasma.
