Red Dragons Are Good at Using Weapons and Negotiating
Although a Red Dragon's breath had the widest coverage of any Chromatic Dragon's, a Green Dragon's probably spread farther afterward.
Yellow-green poisonous fog poured wildly from the Green Dragon's mouth, forming a cone-shaped cloud over ten meters long. It roiled and spread, completely enveloping Sol.
A sickly sweet smell mixed with the stench of rotting vegetation entered his nostrils, instantly snapping him out of his brief daze.
Sol reflexively held his breath and gave a mighty beat of his wings, which spanned over thirty-five feet.
A gale swept across the ground, immediately dispersing the poisonous fog around him. He stepped forward and pulled with his powerful limbs, and the vines as thick as a person's wrist immediately cracked under the strain.
"Do you really think you can defeat me with these petty tricks? What wishful thinking!"
Although Red Dragons had no poison-related abilities, their incomparably powerful constitutions alone gave them considerable resistance to toxins.
On top of that, the searing blood and fire elemental power surging through their bodies naturally countered the vast majority of poisons.
The Green Dragon's breath merely made Sol feel as if his whole body had been coated in chili water, leaving him stinging all over. An intense burning sensation also came from his airway and esophagus.
But not only did it fail to hinder his movements, it fully aroused the ferocity deep in his blood.
His powerful limbs tensed, and with help from the wings on his back, he leaped like a flying tiger and landed in front of the Green Dragon spewing poisonous fog.
Seeing the ferocious Red Dragon pounce, the Green Dragon decisively stopped breathing poison. She twisted her slender body to dodge his claws, then wrapped herself around Sol.
Green Dragons had relatively slender limbs and were not good at clawing or biting when fighting large monsters up close. Instead, they preferred to constrict their opponents with their bodies like snakes.
The Green Dragon wrapped around Sol tightened her muscles with all her might, making the scarlet scales on his body creak.
That powerful grip could probably have strangled a tiger with ease. Even Sol soon found it difficult to breathe.
Yet in the face of all this, a blazing fire lit up in his eyes, and flames poured from his grinning maw like water.
At that moment, the magic flowing through Sol's body seemed to turn into pure heat. The Green Dragon's scales sizzled against him, as though she had wrapped herself not around a living creature, but a red-hot branding iron.
Terror flashed through the Green Dragon's eyes at the excruciating pain. She hurriedly loosened her grip, trying to escape.
But the instant she uncoiled from Sol, a huge claw shot out and seized her slender tail.
"Trying to run now? Don't you think it's too late?"
The next second, a tremendous pull lifted her entire body off the ground and whipped her hard at her two approaching companions.
It was almost a replay of what had happened to the Blue Dragon earlier, except the Green Dragon's body was more slender and flexible, making her easier for Sol to swing.
"Let me show you my Green Dragon Great Sword. Take my Charged Spinning Slash!"
The two Green Dragons watched in horror as their companion's head swung toward them. Their keen dynamic vision even let them see the tears and drool flung from her face by centrifugal force.
They hastily ducked, their slender bodies flattening almost completely against the ground like snakes.
A fierce gust swept over their heads. Just when they thought they had dodged it, a red tail like an iron whip appeared before them.
"Invincible windmill!"
Bam! Bam!
Muffled impacts rang out, followed by searing pain in their cheeks and necks.
The fine scales covering the two Green Dragons were nowhere near as hard as a Red Dragon's. They burst apart, leaving thick welt marks.
The Green Dragon he held in his claw as a weapon had it even worse. Her head spun, and her stomach churned so violently that she nearly threw up.
As Sol swung the "Green Dragon Great Sword" in his claw, he really did look a little like a wild, uninhibited barbarian.
Come to think of it, since I can extract templates from creatures in the Monster Hunter world, can I extract a hunter's template too?
If I learned their skills and drew the Black Dragon Great Sword used by that giant dragonian, could I become a Red Dragon sword saint?
As the thoughts flashed through his mind, Sol used his brute strength to swing and smash the Green Dragon around in his grip, each blow cutting powerfully through the air.
She struck the surrounding trees from time to time, producing a series of alarming thuds that made one wonder whether the Green Dragon in his claw would be battered to death.
Sol was actually worried about that himself. After all, he was still under the control of the Blue Dragon known as Fang of the Storm, so he didn't dare kill these Green Dragons.
So, after smashing her around a few times, he tossed her onto the ground.
Blood seeped from all over the Green Dragon's body as she lay motionless like a dead snake. Even if she wasn't dead, she had probably lost half her life.
Seeing their companion's miserable state, the remaining two Green Dragons felt a chill shoot up from the soles of their feet. Their scales bristled, and they couldn't help trembling slightly.
"Wait! Great Red Dragon, we apologize for our earlier behavior and beg your forgiveness!"
"We know we were wrong. Please show mercy and spare us."
Their intense fear turned into notifications of increased mental power essence beneath Sol's gaze, bringing him a burst of pleasure.
He opened his fang-filled maw and gave the two Green Dragons a ferocious grin, showing no intention of sparing them.
He was a Red Dragon. When had anyone ever heard of a Red Dragon accepting an apology?
"Let me give you a beating, and obey my orders from today onward. Only then can you quell the anger in my heart."
The outrageous demand made the two Green Dragons grit their teeth. Their pride as True Dragons would not let them agree to it.
"Impossible! Your demand is too much!"
"We can give you some of our treasured hoard to buy back our freedom."
A young Green Dragon's treasure?
Disdain appeared in Sol's eyes. What could young dragons their age have that was worth anything, apart from the skin and flesh on their bodies?
"Some of your treasure? Once I beat you down, it'll all be mine. I want all of it!
"You dare offer me something that already belongs to me in exchange for your freedom? Do you really think I'm that easy to fool?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Sol wasted no more words on the two Green Dragons. He moved his feet and lunged at them.
Once he had dealt with these Green Dragons, he still had those Blue Dragons and Black Dragons to deal with.
Those fellows could run, but they couldn't hide forever. Sol wouldn't let a single one of them off.
