Time flies, and the end of the year is here.

The family has started preparing for the New Year, and some of Su Ziyang's friends who live in other places have also returned home one after another.

As a result, Su Ziyang started having more dinner parties. In the past, Su Ziyang's mother was always very worried when Su Ziyang went out to parties.

However, Su Ziyang's mother noticed that her son had suddenly stopped drinking, and she became much more relaxed about Su Ziyang's plans to go out.

No matter how old you are, you'll always be a child in your parents' eyes.

Su Ziyang's mother was worried that Su Ziyang would get into trouble if he drank too much, and also that he might bump into something or get hurt if he drank too much.

However, since discovering that Su Ziyang has stopped drinking, Su Ziyang mother has stopped calling every half hour to ask when he will be back.

At the party, some people were smoking, Su Ziyang, smelling strongly of smoke, ran to the kitchen. Seeing his mother cleaning up, Su Ziyang suddenly asked, "Mom? I've been eating out lately, why haven't you called me?"

"Get out of here! Stop causing trouble, can't you see I'm busy?"

Su Ziyang's mother tugged at Su Ziyang, who was in the way.

"Why... why haven't you called me?"

Su Ziyang asked again, in a cheeky tone.

"You don't drink, I know you're sober. Why would I call you! Get out of the way, I need to wash some jars for curing meat. Don't get in my way, or you can wash them for me?"

Su Ziyang's mother handed Su Ziyang a jar, and Su Ziyang took it and obediently began washing it...

The next day, before Su Ziyang was fully awake, Su Ziyang received a call from Su Zang: "Hey, wanna have donkey meat sandwiches for lunch?"

"I'm not going. My family is buying New Year's goods today, and I have to stay with my mom."

Su Ziyang directly rejected Su Zang.

For some reason, Su Ziyang always felt awkward when Su Zang contacted him now; the feeling of friendship was gone.

Because Su Ziyang noticed that Su Zang seemed to always dislike him, Su Zang didn't contact Su Ziyang this time, and Su Ziyang didn't take the initiative to contact Su Zang either.

Based on Su Ziyang's accurate sixth sense, Su Zang wouldn't even know what to say upon seeing Su Zang.

After inviting Su Zang several times over the phone, Su Zang hung up once he was sure Su Ziyang wouldn't go.

When Su Ziyang got up to eat breakfast, he had a piece of pickled vegetable in his mouth, ate a steamed bun, and chatted with his father. The conversation turned to Su Zang.

"Are you aware that Su Zang's driver's license has been revoked?"

Su Ziyang's father suddenly asked.

"Huh? I don't know, when did that happen!"

Su Ziyang was quite surprised.

"It was the time you came back from your vacation last time, the one when you made medicinal wine."

"Why?" Su Ziyang was mainly surprised by the reason.

"I heard it was because he drank too much, but he was really unlucky; after drinking, he got caught riding his electric scooter. I'm just asking if he told you about this since you two are close!"

After listening, Su Ziyang shook his head. "He didn't say. I was just wondering why he asked me to drink last time and what happened."

"I heard there was a fight. If it weren't for the fight, this probably wouldn't have happened. I'm full, I'm going to the restaurant. You guys enjoy your meal!"

After finishing his meal, Su Ziyang's father went straight to work at the store.

Su Ziyang accompanied his mother to buy things for the New Year.

After a busy day, Su Ziyang received another call from Su Zang: "Can't we buy New Year's goods tonight? Come out and get something!"

"OK!"

Su Ziyang didn't think much of it, but he waited until 8 p. m. and still didn't receive a call from Su Zang Su Ziyang.

"Don't wait for him, let's eat!"

When Su Ziyang's father saw that Su Zang hadn't written to Su Ziyang yet, he arranged for Su Ziyang to come over for dinner.

Su Ziyang was also starving, so he sat down to eat.

Just as Su Ziyang had finished eating, Su Zang suddenly called again.

"Come out! I'm at Old Gao's Hot Pot Chicken, come over here!"

"Okay, wait a bit!"

Su Ziyang reluctantly put down the steamed bun in his hand.

"Xiao Zang?" Su Ziyang's father asked, looking at Su Ziyang.

"Yes!" Su Ziyang nodded.

"If you ask me, you shouldn't go. What would you do there? It's almost nine o'clock. Just say you have something to do and can't go."

Su Ziyang's father didn't want Su Ziyang to go, but Su Ziyang ignored him, put on a short-sleeved shirt, and set off.

Actually, when Su Ziyang walked down the street, he felt a little awkward, but he couldn't quite put his finger on why.

Old Gao's Hot Pot Chicken wasn't far from his home; Su Ziyang could walk there.

Before they even arrived, Su Ziyang received another call from Su Zang: "Hey, could you bring me two packs of cigarettes? I smoke Purple Cloud. I forgot to buy some!"

"Okay! Let me see where the supermarket is." Su Ziyang turned around and saw a tobacco and liquor store behind him. He went in, bought two packs of Purple Cloud, Su Ziyang headed straight for Old Gao's Hot Pot Chicken.

His house has a large hall, surrounded by a row of very small private rooms, each of which can seat about 4-5 people.

Su Zang said he was in private room number 4. Upon entering, Su Ziyang Su Ziyang was taken aback, thinking that it was so late and only Su Zang would be there.

As it turned out, Su Zang was sitting opposite someone Su Ziyang didn't recognize. As usual, Su Zang didn't introduce him, but from the conversation, Su Zang called him Xiao Tong.

After Su Ziyang entered the room, he took out two packs of cigarettes from his pocket. Su Zang said a few words to him, and then spent the rest of the time sitting and chatting with Xiao Tong.

Su Ziyang couldn't get a word in edgewise and sat awkwardly to the side.

After the hot pot chicken was served, Su Zang took out a bottle of Beijing Erguotou a type of Chinese liquor) from his pocket.

"Is one bottle enough for the three of us?"

Su Zang chuckled, then unscrewed the bottle cap and poured himself a drink. After he finished, Su Zang handed the bottle to Xiao Tong, Xiao Tong poured himself a glass and then went to pour a drink for Su Ziyang.

Su Ziyang waved his hand. "Dude, I don't drink. You guys drink, I'll just have some water!"

"Damn! Taking medicine again?"

Upon hearing that Su Ziyang didn't drink, Su Zang said something very bluntly.

Su Ziyang turned to look at Su Zang but didn't say anything. He waved to Xiao Tong, indicating that he wouldn't drink.

Xiao Tong smiled and didn't offer him any more wine.

"If you're not going to drink, what are you doing here?" Su Zang Su Zang said again when he saw that Xiao Tong hadn't poured Su Ziyang any wine, and Su Ziyang really wasn't going to drink.

After Su Zang's repeated provocations, Su Ziyang chuckled softly and said, "Then I'll go. You guys drink!"

Upon Su Ziyang's words, Su Zang laughed again, "Come on, if you go back without eating, and your dad tells him, my brother will scold me again!"

"Quickly, sit down."

Su Zang nudged Su Ziyang Su Ziyang and pulled him back onto the table.

"Have a drink then!"

Xiao Tong ordered a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy Orange with pulp. Su Ziyang didn't want to drink it, but Xiao Tong said they wanted some too, so they ordered it.
