The Adventures of Lu Bingang, Part One
The intense pain caused Yu Xiaogang to let out a scream that sounded inhuman. She lunged forward, lying face down on the beach with her buttocks raised high in the sun.
When Gu Yuena saw this comical scene, she was first stunned, and then she couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Pfft--Serves you right, it should hurt more than anything."
Despite her laughter, the dull pain emanating from her back made Gu Yuena grimace and mutter under her breath:
"No, no, I have to go back. If Gu Yue finds out I sneaked out again, I'm sure I'll get another beating."
A faint silver light trembled slightly, and the petite figure quietly departed, returning the sky to tranquility.
On the beach, only Yu Xiaogang sticking out, lying face down in the sand, enduring inhuman torment.
The pain was excruciating, so intense it went right to his bones; even Viego wasn't in as much pain.
Amidst the excruciating pain, he quickly realized what was happening.
Luo Sanpao, as a rare external Martial Soul, is one with him, so it can be said that if one is damaged, the other is also damaged.
During the breakout from Sea God Island, Luo Sanpao acted as a jet-powered flying pig, speeding all the way, with his exhaust port repeatedly and forcibly blocked by Brother Billy.
Along with Yu Xiaogang herself, she was also stuffed into the pipe to act as a human piston, and the exhaust channels of the two people, one human and one pig, had long been tormented to the point of near destruction.
However, since his life was hanging by a thread when the Imperial Pig was flying, and his nerves were on edge, he didn't feel anything too intense until the storm subsided and all the accumulated pain surged up at once.
This is similar to certain time-stop series, where even if a lot of Martial Soul Theory is forcibly injected during the time stop, the person will be completely unaware.
But once the time stop ends and time resumes its flow, the immense impact accumulated will suddenly surge into the mind and body, a situation that even a god could not withstand.
The most fatal flaw was the final explosion of the barrel.
At that time, the extremely compressed high-pressure gas was stuck in the exhaust port, unable to be ejected or retreated, and the core of the explosion happened to be at the exhaust port.
This was equivalent to detonating an explosive behind Luo Sanpao. The tearing pain rebounded back into Yu Xiaogang's body as the host. He felt his anus burning and the pain was so intense that his whole body almost fell apart.
"Hmm hmm hmm ah ah ah ah--"
He carefully protected himself with both hands behind him, knelt on the sand, buried his head in the sand pit, and convulsed in pain as his buttocks stick out.
The searing pain throbbed on the beach for quite a while before gradually subsiding into a dull, throbbing ache.
Yu Xiaogang grimaced and propped herself up, looking around.
The scorching sun overhead made the sand scorching hot, and all around was the boundless sea. Apart from the waves crashing against the shore, not even the cries of seabirds could be heard.
This is a lonely island.
The island has flat beaches, and further in lies a dense, impenetrable jungle, looking no different from any other island.
But when the hot wind blew, the surroundings were eerily quiet. Not a single ship could be seen on the sea, nor a trace of human habitation or life in the woods.
Yu Xiaogang didn't understand why the explosion hadn't killed him. Perhaps Luo Sanpao had used his Soul Power to shield him from most of the blast damage before the chamber exploded.
Glug glug--
A sudden growl from his stomach interrupted his thoughts.
The reality quickly made him realize the dire situation he was in: no water, no food, and a severe injury to his rear.
He didn't even have Storage Soul Tool; it was confiscated when he was captured on Sea God Island. Now, he can't even get a single piece of food out of his body.
A wave of despair washed over him, but only for a moment before Yu Xiaogang's inherent arrogance resurfaced.
Who is he? He is a renowned embodiment of wisdom, Grandwet of unparalleled theoretical knowledge.
Yu Xiaogang propped herself up, secretly encouraging herself.
"Even the ancients were able to carve out land in the wilderness, survive and multiply. Could a mere deserted island overseas possibly trap Grandwet scholar like myself? Since ancient times, some have turned misfortune into good fortune; my current predicament is also a great mission bestowed upon me by Heaven."
He looked around at the islands and managed to straighten his back.
"From this day forward, this island belongs to me, Yu Xiaogang, and I am the king of this deserted island— Lu Bingang."
After proclaiming himself king of the deserted island, the harsh reality of survival immediately loomed before him.
His stomach was growling with hunger, his throat was parched with thirst, and the burning wound on his back was a constant reminder of his weakened state.
As the king of a deserted island, how could he be without attendants to serve him?
Yu Xiaogang looked around, but her companions were still nowhere to be seen, so she could only summon her own Martial Soul.
"Come forth, my faithful servant."
With a faint fluctuation of Soul Power, Luo Sanpao, who used to be as fat as a pig with big, protruding ears, rolled onto the beach, looking listless and dejected.
Fortunately, after being unconscious for a long time, his previously shattered Martial Soul had recovered, although he was still in a weak state.
Luo Sanpao's nose was pressed to the ground, and he made low grunts and pants.
Yu Xiaogang stepped forward and pressed down on Luo Sanpao's large head, saying:
"In this place, we are the only ones left to depend on each other. From this day forward, I hereby name you the number one hero of this desert island, and your code name will be ' Friday Pao.'"
Luo Sanpao rolled his eyes listlessly, too weak to even muster the strength to groan.
With servants in hand, Lu Bingang's survival plan officially began.
The first challenge we face is the freshwater crisis.
Under the scorching sun, Yu Xiaogang's lips were dry, cracked, and white, and her throat was parched and burning.
"Theory precedes practice."
Yu Xiaogang pointed to the waves in front of her and confidently imparted her theories to Luo Sanpao beside her.
"Friday Pao, listen up. Seawater is certainly bitter and salty, and you can't drink it directly. But if you filter out the sediment layer by layer, seawater can be turned into fresh water."
After saying that, Yu Xiaogang reached out and took off her boots and the cloth socks that she hadn't changed for months.
This sock is like a piece of old, dry tree bark, mottled with black and yellow, and emitting a strong, sour smell.
Luo Sanpao suddenly caught a whiff of the smell, and his large, fan-shaped ears trembled with disgust. He took several steps back.
Yu Xiaogang, however, remained calm. "You're making a fuss over nothing. In extreme circumstances, such details don't matter."
He gritted his teeth and stuffed a handful of sand into his sock, then scooped up half a handful of seawater from the receding tide and carefully poured it into the top of his sock.
Tick-tock, tick-tock.
Before long, a few drops of water, tinged with a faint yellowish-brown color and carrying an eerie warmth, slowly seeped from the toes of the socks.
Yu Xiaogang's parched throat left him no time to think. He eagerly tilted his head back, swallowed the drops, and went down in large gulps.
"Pfft--cough cough! spit! ugh--"
Yu Xiaogang flung the socks out of his hand and lay on the beach, retching violently. He swore that he had never felt this nauseous, not even when he had absorbed the Martial Soul Theory of Brother Jie and the others.
The search for freshwater ended in a disastrous failure, and the rumbling in his stomach grew ever more intense.
After a while, Yu Xiaogang covered her shrunken belly and turned her gaze to the undulating shallows.
"Where there's water, there are bound to be fish. Friday Pao, you've been training for a thousand days to use it for one day; it's time for you to show your worth."
Yu Xiaogang pointed to the receding puddle and ordered:
"Hey, Friday Pao, don't just stand there, hurry up and get in the water, catch me a few big fish to fill my stomach."
Luo Sanpao lay on the beach, his two big ears drooping, not wanting to move at all.
Yu Xiaogang kicked its round hindquarters and glared at it, scolding, "Hurry up and go!"
Forced into a corner, Luo Sanpao had no choice but to slowly crawl towards the shallow puddle with his four short legs and chubby body.
The puddle was crystal clear, and Luo Sanpao stuck out his pig-like snout and started digging around at the bottom.
Just as it pushed aside a clump of seaweed, a reef crab with huge black claws was startled and crawled out from under the mud and sand.
