Douluo I Matters Concluded
Tang Yuehua looked down at the crowd, who dared not even breathe loudly. Seeing that she had achieved the desired deterrent effect, she decisively gave her orders.
"Immediately scale back the sect's operations, recall all personnel stationed outside, and seal the sect to put its affairs in order."
"Furthermore, in the name of the Clear Sky Sect, issue a continent-wide kill order and search for the traitors Tang Hao and Tang Xiao."
"Anyone who provides their exact whereabouts will be rewarded with a thousand gold; anyone who brings back their heads will be granted a Thousand-Year Soul Bone; and anyone who captures them alive will receive a Ten Thousand Year Soul Bone and be appointed the Clear Sky Sect's chief guest elder."
Tang Yuehua was not worried about being unable to produce the Soul Bones.
She knew how selfish her own people were. The bodies of the elders who had died earlier had never been recovered, so the Soul Bones on them had naturally disappeared without a trace.
There were a few low-year Soul Bones in the sect treasury, but as for high-year ones, Tang Yuehua did not think those inherently evil fellows would have left any behind.
But that was all right. Her old father, Tang Zhen... did have a few.
For the great cause of the sect, Tang Yuehua could only inconvenience her deceased father a little.
Once the orders were given, no one in the hall dared voice so much as half a word of objection.
After the meeting, in a side hall.
Tang Yuehua shed the stern, imposing manner she had worn outside and respectfully bowed to Bi Ji and Zi JI.
"Many thanks to you two seniors for your tremendous help this time. Yuehua dares to ask whether the two of you could help me once more and act alongside the sect to capture those two traitors, Tang Hao and Tang Xiao, and bring them back to the sect?"
Bi Ji and Zi JI exchanged a glance and promptly shook their heads.
Di Tian had long since told them that one of those two rats carried the Asura God's presence.
The Soul Beasts and Ferocious Beasts of the Star Dou Great Forest, the Far North, and even the oceans now possessed a formidable foundation. If they truly mobilized all their forces, wiping out every human on the continent would be no difficult task.
But now that the Divine Realm was involved, how could they possibly risk provoking the Asura God on humanity's behalf?
Zi JI said flatly, "The matter is settled. It's time for us to return."
With that, Zi JI turned her hand over and formed a reverse scale gleaming purple-black in her palm, then tossed it to Tang Yuehua.
"If you run into a thorny problem in the future, inject Soul Power into it and you can contact me. Also, if you face mortal danger, it can block one full-force attack from anyone below the Super Douluo level."
Tang Yuehua caught the dragon scale as though it were a priceless treasure and carefully pressed it to her chest with both hands, feeling its icy touch.
Seeing the two women preparing to leave, Tang Yuehua could no longer suppress the anxiety in her heart. She bit her lower lip and could not help asking:
"Then when will I be able to... see him again?"
Bi Ji and Zi JI did not answer. They merely gave her a meaningful look.
The next moment, Di Tian, standing by the Lake of Life, tore open space and brought the two women back to the Great Ferocious Land.
Silence returned to the side hall, and the spatial rift rapidly closed.
Tang Yuehua stood alone in the empty hall, clutching the icy dragon scale.
Since Gu Yue had helped her so much, she would guard the Clear Sky Sect for him at any cost.
If he wanted it, she would one day offer the entire sect to him with both hands;
If he did not... Tang Yuehua's eyes dimmed slightly, but her resolve returned at once. She would still safeguard that foundation for him and continue helping him from the shadows...
In ancient times, within the Silver Dragon King's Sea of Consciousness.
Gu Yue suddenly sneezed. What happened?
He was a little puzzled. Could a spirit body catch a cold too?
"Wuwuwu..." A whimper reached his ears.
Gu Yue looked down and saw that he was pinching little Gu Yuena's cheeks, pulling the soft flesh on either side out like two freshly steamed, puffy longevity buns.
He thought they did feel quite nice, though there was a faint risk of being bitten in return.
The little one's face was flushed red with anger, and her short, lotus-root-like arms waved frantically as she tried to push his large hand away.
Once she had freed herself, little Gu Yuena immediately stepped back on her short legs, folded her arms across her chest, and huffily turned her little head away.
Her cheeks puffed out, and her lips stuck out far enough to hang a teapot on. She was clearly saying, I'm angry, and no amount of coaxing will fix it.
"Ahem, Nana, that was an accident."
Gu Yue calmly withdrew his hand and gave two tactical coughs. "I was thinking about something just now and lost track of how much force I was using."
Little Gu Yuena huffed, her long silver hair swaying as she turned her back to him. No matter how Gu Yue tried to coax her, the little one was dead set on not turning around.
Gu Yue's eyes shifted slightly, and he said:
"Since you don't want to talk to me, I'll tell you a joke. This joke is one of a kind throughout all history. I guarantee it'll open your eyes."
Hearing this, the tips of little Gu Yuena's delicate ears twitched, but her little face remained taut.
Gu Yue paid it no mind and slowly began:
"Once upon a time, among the demon race, there was a dragon king named Silver. After a great war, she slept for hundreds of thousands of years. She finally woke up, but her cultivation had not recovered, and with her race facing extinction, she was at a loss. But she knew full well that she bore the great responsibility of reviving her entire race. To save her kin from their sea of suffering, she decided to seal her cultivation, take the form of a human girl from the enemy race, and infiltrate human society as a spy."
Little Gu Yuena turned half her face toward him and said seriously, "It sounds like she had some ambition?"
"Don't rush. The best part is still to come."
Gu Yue smiled. "After this Silver Dragon King infiltrated the human world, she met a human boy who carried the presence of a Golden Dragon King that was immensely attractive to her. Guess what happened?"
"Did she take the human boy as a servant and successfully infiltrate the human race?" Little Gu Yuena guessed, blinking her big eyes.
"No. Her intelligence dropped to zero, and she awakened the ultimate love brain."
Gu Yue spread his hands, his face full of lament.
"Not only did she cast the blood feud of her entire race being wantonly slaughtered and hunted by humans to the ninth heaven, but all she thought about day in and day out was how to romance that human boy. Later, she finally made up her mind to wage war on humanity, but as the shared sovereign of the Soul... ahem, demon race, she actually killed herself for love of that human in front of the entire continent."
By the time he finished, little Gu Yuena's entire dragon self had gone dumbstruck.
"Heavens."
She clenched her little fists and waved them wildly, grinding her little white teeth as she huffed:
"How could there be such a hateful, such a stupid dragon? What a disgrace to dragons! She's thrown our dragon race's face clear across the universe!"
Looking at the furious little loli before him, Gu Yue nearly failed to hold back his laughter.
Well said, Nana. That's the spirit.
After being subjected to that pitch-black joke, all of little Gu Yuena's resentment shifted onto the love-brained Silver Dragon King from the original story.
Seeing that she had stopped sulking, Gu Yue composed himself, and his tone grew calm.
"All right, Nana, there's important business to attend to outside. I'll tell you now how to construct the restriction."
A little while later, after listening to Gu Yue's explanation, little Gu Yuena's eyes lit up. She threw herself at his arm and hugged it, her face full of admiration.
"As expected of Daddy! You knew without even having to think about it?"
"Heh heh, of course. Go on." Gu Yue raised his chin slightly, putting on an inscrutable air.
Yet inwardly, he was wiping away a cold sweat.
Impressive, my ass.
This was clearly a ready-made answer he had wheedled out of Gu Yuena when he transmigrated to Douluo I.
Because of the Time-Reversal Trajectory, it was as though he were playing a game, with only his consciousness descending.
Even if he inscribed the knowledge into the Sea of Consciousness, it would remain only with the Silver Dragon King of the Douluo I era. Once he logged off, he had no way to bring any of it back to ancient times.
To avoid missing a single detail, he had forcibly memorized it countless times in his head, as though committing a long text to memory, before finally bringing this piece of homework back.
Having obtained the method, little Gu Yuena immediately took control of her body.
